I was so impressed with the speed in which he responded and got me in immediately, as well as a follow up appointment for two days from now. So glad they followed up with great care after the mix up, I wanted to update my review for the positive. I got poked in the eye by my son and tried to call the on call doctor. They informed me that it would be $169 just to be connected to the on call doctor. I find this to be absolutely absurd that for an eye emergency I can't even talk to someone. What absolutely terrible customer service, I have never once had to pay in order to talk to someone for an eye emergency. Shocking, beware if you're thinking of becoming a patient there, hope you never need someone after hours.

He speaks in layman's terms, and always makes you feel encouraged to ask questions. His staff is second-to-none, very thorough, polite and professional. Highly recommend!!

John then checked and while being unable to put a prescription in the oakley frames I had brought but was able to find a similar pair and get an order for lenses with a little help from the team. They informed me that Oakley is simply very particular about their allowances on curved frames and asked if a higher price was ok before proceeding with a higher cost lens. overall this was a great experience and while I am quite particular about who I let examine my eyes, I will likely return for my future glasses needs.

By the way, before we go any further: This location is inside the Castleton Square Mall! Don't be a ding-dong like me and drive all around the general proximity of the mall looking for a stand-alone location. There ain't one! Visionworks is in the mall. If you enter through the south entrance, it's to the right. Anyway, I needed to get my lenses replaced in frames I already had, and fortunately, Visionworks did this for me easily. I just brought a copy of my prescription to the store, and they were able to give me price options for different coatings and whatnot on the lenses. Then they took my glasses, and off went my spectacles to the special place that glasses go to get spiffy and newish. Visionworks told me it would take about two weeks for my glasses to come back, but they were done in about five days! And the lenses were great and just what I wanted. This isn't the newest and most modern optometry joint that I've ever visited, but for my purposes, it was a very good experience.

The office staff and very rude manager refuses to rebill the visit correctly. We showed them where they made a simple keying error and it is as though they can not accept that they made an error. They claim there was a lapse in coverage, yet there was not- it was all due to their error. They continue to refuse to rebill it correctly. I would never recommend the Broad Ripple MyEyeDr to anyone. Rude handling of our issue. Refusal to work with us to bill it correctly and refusal to even consider the possibility that they made an error, even with our verification of full coverage in place at the time of coverage. Not worth the billing hassle to go to Broad Ripple MyEyeDr.

They're just efficient, and for a lady like me who likes efficiency in general and needed to get in and out specifically on the day that I visited, Target Optical fit my needs. I knew my prescription had not changed since the last time I got my eyes checked 12 months ago, so I just needed a doctor to check my eyes and confirm my suspicions by writing me a prescription. I was able to get my eye exam and prescription in hand in about 30 minutes. Also, my appointment started on time, and they didn't pressure me to order glasses or contacts from them. I told them that I just wanted my prescription because I wanted to buy a specific style of glasses elsewhere, and they were basically like, "Good, thanks for visiting, have a wonderful day," etc. I came back on a different day because I needed them to take my optical measurements for some glasses that I was buying somewhere else, and they didn't even blink as they measured my eyes and wrote down the measurements to give to a different optometrist. They didn't even charge me, either. Dang. All of this just endears me to Target Optical for my basic optometry needs.

I was given a few samples to try out for contacts. On my third sample, I was good. We finalized my prescription, and I ordered the contacts. I received the contacts. They did not work. I contacted them to verify my prescription was correct. They said yes. I contacted the MFR and they sent me a new set of contacts. Still no good. I contacted the DRs office to get me prescription rechecked and they said "Sure, but it will cost you out of pocket". All I wanted was to verify the prescription. I was told nope. Sorry. So basically, I was out the cost of the contacts because they are unusable to me and unable to go see another DR unless I pay since I used my insurance visit for the year. Clearly, they did not update my prescription to the third sample and did not care to help me out. Plenty of other eye DRs out there.

They were very patient with my daughter even when she needed her eyes dilated. They're always quick, professional & friendly. Note that you will need an appt even if you need your glasses adjusted/ looked at so no walk-ins, but usually you can get in same day. Highly recommend for frames, eye exams & pediatric eye care!
