WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME!! WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE!!! I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Eyeglass World that I feel compelled to share. I brought a friend's pair of glasses to their store for repairs, trusting their supposed expertise. They assured me they could fix them, but instead, the glasses were broken by one of their employees. To make matters worse, the employee giggled and said, "I'm sorry, super glue is now your best friend," without offering any compensation or a proper apology. Taking my grievance to corporate seemed like the right move, so I did, but a few days later, the store manager's response was equally frustrating. Instead of compensating for the glasses their employee broke, she offered to cover the cost of an eye exam and insisted we pay regular prices for new glasses, with a buy-one-get-one promotion that's already available to the public. When I expressed my frustration and argued that I shouldn't have to pay for glasses they broke, the manager coldly replied that comping the glasses or the eye exam was against company policy. She said I could either accept the eye exam or receive nothing at all. It's against company policy, yet she offers me one anyway; she can do both. This blatant disregard for their responsibility was appalling to me. The situation was made worse by the manager's attitude, rudeness, unprofessionalism, and flat-out dishonesty. She claimed that her employee had warned me about the risk of breaking the glasses, which was an outright lie. If I had been informed of any risk, I would have taken them elsewhere for repair. When I asked for proof of their supposed terms of service acceptance, she caught an attitude and lied through her teeth about having video evidence and refused to show it. She then contradicted herself by saying customer service, not she, reviewed the footage. This experience has shown me that Eyeglass World is not only unprofessional but also deceitful. They failed to take responsibility for their mistake, lied about the circumstances, and treated a loyal customer with utter disrespect. I will never trust or recommend Eyeglass World to anyone. They are a complete disgrace and a huge disappointment. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

well, for one I can't read now and for two I didn't appreciate the young lady who checks you out. Automatically wants to add things to my glasses that I didn't ask for and I'm I was just waiting For her to get through so I could tell her I didn't want them. I'm very unsatisfied with the service of the store for one. My glasses are completely wrong as far as the bifocal. I cannot even read now I have to put something directly up to my face. I just now started wearing my glasses because where I work I wore my old I could still see out of them and I need them more to read than to see. sorry it's my mistake because I didn't wear my new glasses for a couple of months until I lost my old ones and I tell you they are horrible. I really needed my glasses because they hit TRE ground and was bent up. So, I go to a business that advertise same day (or next day, depending on when you get there) but if you are going to advertise one day service, consider giving one day service... Not only did they not call me to tell me that my glasses weren't going to be ready the next day, I had to drive to the store because their phone was on a recording that the store was closed 3 hours before their advertised closing. When I got there I mentioned the recording to the lady who help us the day before, well for some unknown reason to me, they decided to close 2 hours early plus she told me that my glasses weren't even started on. What really help ticked me off was the fact the young lady who helped us yesterday and today seemed not to care, she had one of those I'm overworked attitudes and it is what it is.... A simple phone call or a better attitude would have gone a long ways, so I got a refund and I'm going elsewhere. It may not seem to be a big thing, I could have waited three days to get my glasses... but it's the whole attitude thing and I rather wait for glasses than to reward a business who just doesn't consider some courtesy when they don't fulfill what they say they will do. read more

awful staff! I walked in for an appointment, the one desk lady was helping a customer with their eye exam. I sat for thirty minutes only to be told that they would have to reschedule because they didnt check me in within 10 minutes after my appointment time, i told them i was 20 minutes early and had been waiting and they told me their was nothing they could do except reschedule. i work night shift so any time i have an appointment cuts in to my sleeping hours(i work 70+ hours/wk). wont go back to this location. Excellent service. This location accepts the Blue View Vision plan, which isn't listed on their website. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. Quinn, a worker, was able to give me upfront prices about my insurance benefits before the eye exam, which I really appreciated. I even asked for them to check the final bill with and without insurance because sometimes it is cheaper to purchase glasses without insurance depending on the special(s) they have going. In the end, I feel that they were the most upfront about expected costs compared to other eyeglass shops. The glasses we ordered were able to be picked up the next day. Last week, my glasses broke. It was time for a new exam anyway, but it put unwanted pressure to get it done, as I need them for driving. I was able to book a same day appointment which was much appreciated. Dr Kilroy was professional and personable, and my appointment was on time. While Inside my wife asked to get her glasses adjusted and come to find out they were broken beyond repair. Excellent service! Dr. Kilroy was proficient, and has excellent people-skills ("bedside manner", if you will). The front people were just as great, explained the options, and dedicated to quality-control and proficiency, using each other to double-check measurements. The fact that this is a walk-in, retail business is icing on the cake. In, out, badda-boom, badda bing. Whatever their corporate HQ is doing to train these young people is working out great. Now of course, you gotta realize the 2-for-$78 is a bare-bones single-vision (ie, for kids, young people) no-options cheapest-frames kind of thing. Progressive/bifocal lenses, designer frames, polycarbonate, coatings, etc., is going to jack up the price. But that is true anywhere. They explain all that, but ultimately the decision about options/upgrades is yours. I didn't do any price comparison since last time I shopped for glasses. But I know the boutique-y places are higher. And I didn't feel like going to Walmart. If you know of a less expensive eyeglass place with high quality and service, and 4 to 5 day turn-around for progressives, let me know in a private message. The staff at Eyeglass World was really polite and helpful when I showed up one day, kind of on a whim, looking for new glasses and sunglasses. I had recently seen my doctor and had a new presecription in my purse. I found myself over in the same shopping center, so I decided to stop in to check out their selection. Well, they have a huge selection and it was very well laid out depending on if you are an adult or child, and male or female. There's also a section for sunglasses. I found myself collecting a few frames in my hand, so I started trying them on to eliminate a few. By the time I had narrowed it down to about four pair, one of the staff called me over to the table. She gave me her opinion and I went with it. Otherwise, I could have been there all day second-guessing myself! We went through the ins and outs of both pair of glasses I was ordering, and in under an hour, I was back out the door, carrying on with my day. She called me two days later to tell me I could come pick them up. What a simple procedure! read more

I came for a contact lens exam and my experience was interesting to say the least. Long story short....Dr. Kilroy left during my appointment to get lunch. Waited about 40 minutes for her to get back. Made me feel like a burden for requesting a different brand as the first one she gave me was uncomfortable. Asked multiple times if I could take my script anywhere and she confirmed every time I asked. Came back to "confirm" my script and wait for 15 minutes past my appointment time. Went to Costco with my script only to find out that she prescribed me a private brand that only eyeglass world can sell. I have never experienced such terrible service anywhere. You would think as a new patient she would be more welcoming. Do not recommend coming here as the staff is very unprofessional. read more

I have been coming here since they opened, every time the service is fast, easy and friendly. Eyeglass World as a whole adapts well to how things are moving; since COVID masks are required, dirty and clean pens are separated, social distancing is advised, equipment is clean before/after use. What I've enjoyed most is how not one second is wasted, you can fill out paperwork before the appointment and everyone moves quickly without rushing you. Overall very experience here. Had multiple appointments scheduled and when I showed up was sent home due to being short staffed, twice. Most of Staff was less than professional and unfriendly, including dr. Kilroy. When I did get seen, it was only after a 25-40 minute wait (with an appointment). I received a chance to see how good the customer service truly is after having challenges with my new glasses. After two weeks of not feeling comfortable I went back in. Amy allowed me to explain my challenges without me feeling rushed. She checked my chart and saw where she could improve my challenges. I appreciated her patience. While Amy worked on my account, Jama (who is a newer employee) allowed me to get some advice about frames. Jama allowed me to sit down and go thru the options. She was patient...but what I really appreciated about Jama was that she took her time to make sure she wasn't just giving me cliché feedback. This Eyeglass World location is not perfect. A few of the staff are on top of their optical game while others leave you wondering how in the Eyeglass World they got to this particular profession. With technology today (yay computers!), I have been annoyed that my file has not been updated on the computer, leading to a run around with an employee or two every time I try to order contacts. The saving grace of this establishment is Dr. Kilroy. She is very professional, yet willing to explain things in laymen terms. She is thorough on her exams and was very patient with any questions I had. If I want anyone to be very good at their job, it is the optometrist. I can tolerate the support staff goofs as long as I'm getting good care by Dr. Kilroy. I am also a member of their "Eyesight Club", which allows 6 exams in 3 years for $100. It also includes discounts on contacts and glasses. A very good deal for someone without vision insurance. Please note that my review is only in regards to exams and contacts. Dr. Kilroy gave me my prescription for glasses and I was able to purchase elsewhere (online). read more

I was very pleased with the customer service at this store. I had new lenses put in my old frames and purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses. The price was much better than another retailer quoted me and they arrived to the store on time. They have plenty of people working and all the ones I had interaction with were courteous and professional. I called ahead to schedule them putting the new lenses in my old frames and it all happened right on time. My review is a toss-up between a 2 and 3 because it's kind of like playing cards when it comes to service here. And, maybe a lot of it just is a matter of not enough staff to handle the amount of business (that's my observation). Because, the Doctor last visit was very thorough and friendly, and the staff there were too; so, the time they took to deal with us, while having to break to deal with everyone else too was tolerable. We got 3 of our 4 glasses the same day too,so that was a bonus. So, this is my stand after years of coming here, and after my latest visit this week: *Prices make it worth going if you have the time: $38 exam & $78 for 2 pair is ongoing peeps. *When going plan out a lot of time, bring your kindle, play w/your phone, Yelp! lol. Just realize that you are going somewhere that is probably going to have long wait times and stressed staff....so don't be stressed yourself and you come out with a fresh look and a deal on glasses (no xanax needed, see?) *There is a warranty on the glasses that I get for one year. If you scratch, break, run them over with a car...anything (except lose them, they can't fix that), as long as you bring them in they will replace them, lenses and all. *This worked for me...if you're going to go anyway, be understanding and smile and if they won't smile back, ask them if they're having a bad day. Awful experience. Booked my first appointment with eyeglass world online at 4:15PM, only to be contacted later that they won't see any patients after 4:00. ? Then why offer this time online? I called to reschedule, and had to take time off of work this morning to go. We were hit with a snow storm, so I arrived 7 minutes late because the roads were so bad. There were no other customers in the building, and I was told that I would need to reschedule. Seriously? I had to reschedule because your website is not updated, took time off of work to go, drove there in a snow storm and was only 7 minutes late, and I need to reschedule? No thank you! The whole experience was frustrating. From the limited pairs available for their special, to the ones on display no longer being carried. The employee did not focus her attention on putting in the order since she was busy greeting everyone who came in the door. So that had to be fixed a couple of times. Then there was a promise of a follow up call in regards to a certain pair of glasses being available or not that didn't happen. Had to call them instead, mulitple times, with vague responses. Our optician (Quinn) was great but the manager (Ashley) was horrible. After spending a lot of time looking for glasses for my son and finally finding frames he liked, she pulled the price tag off the pair claiming they were both mislabelled and incorrectly placed with the kid's frames. The difference in price between what we thought we were going to buy and the new price...$100! What evidently should have been labelled $199 and with the men's frames was labelled $99 and in the wrong section (i.e., kid's) of the store. And, after finding another almost identical set of frames (same thing but in kid's) that were "correctly" tagged at $129, she refused to honor either of the lower prices. While admitting the mistake, she completely failed to take any real responsibility for what sure felt like a bait-and-switch. I told her that it felt that way, too. I've worked in retail in the past and this is not how you treat customers, especially when the retailer is at fault. Ashley was apathetic, at best. There are much better retailers in the area including those who do not deceive customers and who value their patrons. It's back to Costco next year. read more

The staff was rude to my child and refused to help us after the exams were finished. The eye assistant claimed that one of my children May be sick and asked us to leave the store after the exams and before they got to pick out frames....you people suck!!!! Jerome, the general manager, was very pleasant to work with. Good customer service. We were there to get glasses and prescription sunglasses for my 10-year-old. They promote heavily the 2 for $78 deal. The selection of children's frames at the $78 price was very limited. We ended up getting $99 frames. Anti-glare is an additional fee, as is tinting or polarized lenses for sunglasses. But there is no extra charge for polycarbonate lenses for children, so that was nice. I did opt to buy the protection plan, which was reasonably priced. The regular glasses we got within two hours. The sunglasses will take a week as they couldn't make them on site. Overall, pleased with the experience and the customer service. We will be back. read more

Went in with a prescription for my first set of bifocals, to say that I was apprehensive was an understatement, particularly when you consider that I'd been looking for a lenscrafters at the time. I decided to go in when I noticed an advert showing that my insurer was accepted within. I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous and courteous staff members who assisted without hovering or being pushy. They appeared when needed and answered my questions without having to check with anyone else or having to look it up. Once I'd selected my frames I was talked through all of my options and after a brief exam to confirm the specifics of my needs I made my payment which ended up being less than a tenth of the price and was told that I would have my new glasses in 7 to 10 days. I received a call in 4 and picked up my new glasses today. Today's staff made sure that I was satisfied with my purchase and when I lingering outside testing my vision one of them came out to check up on me and when I answered, bade me back inside so that the manager could readjust the frame and assure me that should any problems arise that they would take care of it speedily. After wearing glasses for decades I can easily say that this was the best experience that I've ever had. I'd like to point out Esperanza who handled my initial purchase and was extremely helpful in the decision process. I WILL be returning for my future eyewear and contact needs. read more

I scheduled an eye exam. It was thorough. After have the exam, the rather snotty kid who was helping me told me that they didn't accept my insurance. So...my VSP was not accepted AND I had to pay for an exam that would have been free with my VSP insurance. The kid thought that my insurance was Medicaid, which I explained was not. The optometrist herself was a skilled professional. However, the other three worker that I dealt with there seemed highly uneducated and were far less than professional. The 2 for $78 is only if you're uninsured so I was only able to get 1 pair for $129, before having to pay for lenses that aren't made of plastic.
