He remembers details about me and checks in on a personal level during the exam and truly listens to my concerns. Exams are thorough, and Dr. Potter is honest--he has told me when my prescription changed very little and I didn't need new glasses. I don't feel like they pressure you to buy an expensive pair of new glasses just because you're there, which I can't say for some other places I've gone. The rest of the staff is also SO friendly and they make the visit fun. There is a huge selection of very cool frames with a good price range. Glasses can be expensive anywhere you go, but you can get a nice pair here reasonably priced or you can get pricier designer frames, as well. I have done both and been satisfied. I love it here!

Also I was able to get an appointment fairly quick. This location is for training medical students (future eye doctors). I appreciate how thorough the eye check up is and that you see a student and a doctor. I will caution that the appointment can take anywhere from 1 hour-2 hours. I wasn't prepared for that beforehand. Also they have a large option for glasses and contact lenses. I have a follow up appointment and I look forward to going to se them again.

I really didn't need glasses but wanted them for college to sharpen edges when I look at the overhead for a far. I wanted these cute Kate spade frames so I asked how much . The girl that help me said with everything included including visit it would be $350 up front and if insurance paid anything they would refund me what I over paid.I knew the frames were a bit price so I agreed and paid 350 right there. The bill came saying I owed $39 dollars- which isnt much but as I look at the bill I see the the frames cost 254 the lens cost $ 100 and I only needed one eye delt with it was even very low at -25...which like i said i really didnt need glasses they added all sorts of things to the lenses without asking anything and then it said my appointment was $191 because it was comprehensive. I was litterly with the eye dr. for 10 min and he said I have about perfect eyesight. Well, my insurance did pay some. So all together it came to $541. I paid the 350 plus the $39 I guess my insurance didnt pick up. What a sham. Beware of this place . They also dont contact you if you need to pay what's left even though I have called multiple times during office hours without a call back. So I got a late fee. I have to do it over the phone because I am in nursing school and have zero time to make that trip. Save yourself money and a headache. They are not worth your time

All of my contacts with the front office have reflected that - including on the phone. That's refreshing; we all know what a spectacle it can be to call a doctor, with phone trees and long holds and no appointments open for months. Dr. Clay Jones is my doctor there. I don't believe I've ever seen the others. Apparently he's good, as I can now see better (when I wear my glasses.) He remembered me from last year, and we had a pleasant, light conversation. Always nice not to feel invisible. The site is okay. It's within view of downtown. The medical office building is connected to the hospital, and while it's nothing special at first glance, upon closer inspection, there are decent food and coffee spots inside the hospital (on the ground floor.) The parking garage costs a few dollars. Since cash use is fading, I've noticed they now accept credit cards. A bright person will bring sunglasses for their trip home after the dilating eyedrops. And keep in mind, you clearly shouldn't drive right after the appointment. If you must drive yourself, factor in time to lazily wander the hospital afterwards. Strolling through the gift shops and cafes might make it less dull. From my perspective, Abrams Eye Care operates with an aura of efficiency and hospitality. I'd rate them high on the charts.

That was unacceptable as I was having trouble with my contacts. After that terrible customer service, the entire experience with Joanna was so refreshing. She greets you when you walk in, talks with you one-on-one through the short paperwork for a new patient and then does all the testing and consultations herself. My vision insurance didn't cover any of the visit and I don't care. To be treated like a person in a medical office is such a novel and valuable thing to me. So happy to find an optometrist who gives me her time and attention.

We called after 2 weeks to see the status of the glasses and that was when Zack said the sunglasses were there but they didn't have the clear set. A representative a woman stated that the glass maker told them that they had lost the glasses and now had to order the frames and it would be another couple of weeks!!! By this time , I was livid not only do they not keep on top of glasses that were ordered but no one contacted us to tell us of a delay and why. That is horrible Customer Service, do they not care to take care of a client from start to finish or is it, that once they have my money the sale is over!!! We feel that the prices of the glasses weren't cheap so the service should be top notch. Once the clear glasses did come in, we were contacted but we shouldn't have had to do all the reminding and follow up. I had a really positive eye exam here a week ago after being years overdue for an eye exam. I tend…read moreto drag my feet on the self care/health department (no hair cut in over a year...anyone?) but I had heard great things about Invista Optical from a friend and it didn't hurt that they're conveniently located one mile from my house. I was able to easily schedule my appointment over the phone after a few rounds of phone tag and found a lovely appointment at the end of the day on a Friday to make for easy work scheduling. All three of the staff I encountered were professional and answered my questions about COVID safety precautions and cleaning processes. They also took my temperature upon entry. This particular visit was just for an eye exam but it's worth noting that they have a fun lineup of prescription (and non) sunglasses and glasses. Invista Optical is conveniently located a little over a block from the Cultural Trail and Mass Ave action making it especially handy for downtown dwellers and employees. Would recommend!
