This is my first experience using MyEyeDr. They were highly recommended by my wife and oldest daughter. My visit was excellent in all regards starting with a friendly greeting and comprehensive pre-exam check. My exam by Ali Jaffry, OD was the most thorough and best explained examination that I've received since retiring from the US Navy as a 20-year Naval Flight Officer. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything that he checked, the condition of my eyes, and how my prescription had not changed much since my last eye exam in 2019. Selecting frames and lenses for two (2) sets of glasses was also an excellent process. The person helping me ensured that I understood what options were available and best for my eyes. The price of the first set of glasses was very low and the overall cost for both pairs was very resonable. We stared going to this eye care doctor about year ago. We spent lots of money on glasses there. I called them at the beginning of November to schedule appointment for December. They called me today and canceled it! I like the doctor there but office staff is not that friendly. The lady that called told me "sorry, we doing our best". We need to use our benefits by end of this year and this place has no other appointments available in December. This was the reason I called early to schedule appointments! I received great service from doctor Mark!! The vision in my left eye requires a prism and not too many eye doctors near me offer that. Told him about my experience getting that and fitted me for a prism right on the spot!! Most prefer that you see them multiple times before that is done. Dr. Bailey is fabulous... fabulous, I tell you! What an incredible experience! He and his assistant were chatty, helpful and really made me feel comfortable during every step of my eye exam, even during the dreaded dilation process! Honestly, I've been getting eye exams for over 20 years and have not had a more informative and, dare I say it, enjoyable appointment! After all this time, I have finally found my family eye doctor. So, this really is a 5 star review for the Eye Care part of the practice, but I have to say that the Optical Center is a bit pricey. I had a little trouble with my glasses fitting, but the opticians were certainly willing to accomodate my somewhat compulsive complaints. Great thing: I can walk in at any time and they're happy to make adjustments, replace pads or tighten screws. Overall, an excellent experience and I would not hesitate to recommend them! read more

Typically I think of an eye doctor as just any eye doctor. Not this place. Dr. Cook is perhaps the most favored eye doctor in the area. He is very personable and thorough for his examinations. But what made the experience much better was the ultra friendly staff to assist me with my eye glass selection. I went in expecting a typical pair of glasses and walked out the door with an awesome pair of glasses. I have had many positive comments about my eyewear and owe it to the staff for helping and guiding me through the right selection. I used VSP insurance. My overall cost was very reasonable and I received all of my prescriptions in just over a week. Everything fits perfectly. This place has most of the latest name brands. I ended up with Ray Bans. Appointments can be set up fairly quick and all your records and forms are accessible anytime on a webpage which made it wonderful to communicate back with Veterans Affairs. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Dr. Bailey is a fantastic eye doctor. He and his assistant take their time to answer questions, share their experiences and make suggestions. They are both great with all three of my kids. We are sticking with this duo. However, when we go to check out after making our selections of eyewear it feels like I'm talking to a crooked used car salesperson. You may get a break in one area, but read the next line item and you've been charged double the standard price. It's exhausting to check prices behind them. I'm strongly considering taking my prescriptions elsewhere to be filled. The strongest benefit is that My EyeDoctor will file the insurance paperwork. Still pondering. read more

a minute ago I am a full-time student with a very limited schedule. This office kept sending me text messages to schedule my next appointment. So I fit the date and time in to my crazy school life. I scheduled the appointment for the only available date and time they had, today at 3:40pm. My last class for today ended at 3pm. I hopes I could make it in time. Well you gotta love the NC 40 construction. I called the office to inform them I would be a little late. The lady from their office said as long as I got there by 3:50 I would be ok. I tried, walked in there door at 3:55pm. Guess what....she told me I would have to reschedule. Really?? I just busted my butt to get there and they(she) is turning me away. I ask is there a five minute grace you can give me? She said no you will have to reschedule. She started to open her screen to look to reschedule and i told her my schedule is crazy and that's why i busted my tail to get there. She did not care one bit, no compassion. Needless to say I will be switching to another office. Yes, I was late but when someone is trying their hardest to move up in the world don't knock them down. read more

Had a routine eye exam appointment this morning. I have been having terrible itchy eyes for months now and needed to confirm if I was having allergies or something else entirely was happening to my eyes. The staff was all friendly and courteous and the doctor was knowledgeable and very helpful. It was determined that I do, indeed, have allergies. I already deal with an autoimmune disease and food and fragrance allergies so it's no surprise that I would develop seasonal allergies since moving to the Raleigh area. The doctor was so thoughtful to give me two samples of eye drops to help relieve the dry eye symptom I'm experiencing and wrote me a prescription for a steroid cream to help the eczema around my eyes from all the rubbing. I'm prone to eczema so I'm very curious and excited to see if this new cream will work. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this office and highly recommend them for your optometry needs. read more

Girl at front desk refused to update insurance, which I told her changed at the first of the year and gave her new information. She had already given me total for my part and told me nothing changed for my part. I paid it and then when I received my receipt, it showed she never updated insurance in the system. It is a shame, because everyone else there gave me very good customer service, but if the one at the front counter is acting dishonestly, it ruins the whole experience. read more

We found OurEyeDr! Picked this office due to it's location and close proximity to home and we were pleasantly surprised. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff from the front desk to the doctors. We purchased eyeglasses which were a little more than I wanted to spend but I wanted to be sure that my first pair of progressive lenses were done right. They did a great job and I have had no issues with the prescription or the quality of the glasses I bought. We will continue to use them for future exams. read more

After going for my 1st eye exam in a while I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of this exam. Everyone from the phone call to the glasses people at the end were so friendly and I could tell they enjoy their jobs. I'm pretty surprised by the negative comments actually, maybe someone was having an off day but since my exam I've been in a few times when I picked up my glasses and had a dilation follow up and they were all pleasant. I highly recommend Dr Bailey and i think his name was Dr Marello they explained everything when me and my family came for our exams. Since my 1st exam I have brought the rest of my family and I wish all drs offices treated me and my family the way this office does.
