Employees are snotty and rude. Things take extraordinarily long to come in. Customers/ patients are treated with hostility & sarcasm. Actual doctors are kind & helpful but not worth the abuse from the employees to continue to go there. read more

PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT I always thought I needed to go to a hospital to see eye care professionals...I was wrong! I had an appointment the day after I called. The intake was prompt. The initial exam was conducted by an incredibly professional young person who pleasantly talked me through the process. I was already impressed by the time I met with Dr. Swaim, he is AMAZING! Very focused, great people skills, father of a Navy SEAL. My whole appointment including exam, my prescription, and payment took about 30 minutes. My husband and I have been patients of the Eye Care Center for years. Two years ago I also had my 90 year old father become a patient. They were very patient with my father as he kept breaking his glasses and it was almost a weekly visit to get them repaired. They recommended that we get him titanium frames and they have been a godsend. My father loved going there as they were super nice and understanding. I am very glad, however, to not be going all the time. The staff would see us parking and always help to get him in as he is in a wheelchair. The office is very clean and friendly. We feel that we get excellent care from the optometrists. They always do a very thorough exam and their equipment is state of the art. We have never felt rushed and all questions were gladly received and answered. read more

You know, reading the two reviews would give me a completely different opinion of the center than i have experienced over the past 6 years i have been going there. Most Eye centers are like any of the other "Doc in a Box" places that pop up everywhere. I have to say this place is different. From my first visit, Dr. Hannah was professional, curious, and took the time to answer every question I have had. Sure they are busy some times, and the staff has to find your paper work - but I have never had complains about the accuracy of my measurement, or my ability to see properly with the glasses I got from them. The front office is nice, and wait times are always minimal (which is a huge for me as i have limited time). General the visits go as follows; you arrive for your appointed time. They check you in and ask you to wait. In (usually) less than 5 minutes someone comes out and does the initial checks and standard questions (any issues sense last visit, etc). Following that you go back to the second waiting room to see Dr. Hannah. Normally in 10 min or less, they take you to an exam room and the doctor comes in and does the appropriate checks. Then your off to see glasses. Every other year I skip buying frames and get new lenses. Whats nice is, if my vision did not change much, thy suggest not buying new lenses - no pressure to buy or up-sale!! On one occasion I had an issue with the glasses (lights looked like they were color shifted), the staff was supper nice and helpful, but could not figure it out. I left the glasses and came back the next day, the lady had been reading up and found an article in one of the medical book.. Turns out I am sensitive to "High-Index Lenses" which is the "latest material" as it is lighter. They reordered new lenses for the frames and ta-ta, perfect vision. Everyone was very friendly, everything was cost-effective compared to other places I checked, and my glasses got returned quicker than they originally promised. Very satisfied with the experience. Staff very rude, treat you like you are going to steal something. Very confrontational. One optician and the rest of the staff try to fit glasses but largely not able to, especially the young blond. I went here because convenient but would rather drive to a place that appreciates my business. I would NOT Recommend. read more

I normally do not write reviews but I should have read them before I went here. The eye exam was professional, but the actual purchasing the lenses and sunglasses was horrible. My sunglasses broke within 2 weeks of getting them. Then I was told they where on back order and would take almost another month to come in. So I pick them up after the month and I wear them as I drive home and during work that day and notice they are not my prescription. So I bring them in and they tell me that I was right because they didn't know they were prescription(isn't that there job). If that wasn't enough the receptionist say to me on my way out that "We were just testing you", You know, I don't find that funny because what if I got in a car wreck with my kids because of your incompetence. I decided to try this place after having trek over to Cary for the last several years for exams. When I first entered, the place was nice but a bit dark. The receptionist was nice, but seemed to be out of sorts (likely a training issue??). Was called to have several tests done by an elderly lady (at least in her 70's). She seemed nice, a bit slow. Met with the doctor and it was probably the fast exam I have ever had...about 5 minutes flat. Found some glasses and ordered them. Was told it could take up to 1 1/2 weeks before they were in. They came in a few days later. Fast forward a couple months. I can't read close to save my life. I didn't know what the heck was happening. Being that I didn't want to complain, I wrote it off until I started having mistakes at work. Finally called back and was told to come back. Arrived for my appointment and they had no idea why I was there. I started to raise my voice after I made arrangements for my daughter so I could go to this appointment. FINALLY someone came out and sorted it out. Anyway, it was discovered that Dr. Hanah had given me the wrong prescription when we compared my new glasses with my 1 year old glasses. She refused to re-examine me and stood by her initial exam as it being correct. So, after spending $700 at this location, I now have glasses that are worse than my glasses the previous year. I should have realized that this wasn't going to be a good experience when I never see cars in their parking lot, an expensive lesson learned. So, my advice to anyone going forward is to run, don't walk, away from this place. At least dealing with Dr. Hanah. I have found any optician who has less than 15 years experience have troubles evaluating anyone with multivision or anything more than single vision. Dr. Hannah is a perfect example of someone who can pass the boards to get a license, but really should not be practicing as she has failed to "do no harm" and couldn't care less about her patients. Thankfully I can afford this set back, but I hope this review will aid others in their choices for vision care who would be devastated by such treatment.. read more
