Dr Luu is professional, friendly and knowledgable. She was able to see me on same day appt on my concern over a large bloodshot eye.

Among the best and the worst under the same roof. A friend recommend Dr Luu and from my experience, yes Dr Luu is top shelf; also been examined by Dr Yoakum, both are among the best optometrists - very thorough and professional. However the eyeglass side of the business managed by Tracy Charrette is the worst I have experienced - definitely the most unprofessional managment staff of a supposedly professional profession experience in my lifetime. Both my wife and I purchased eye glasses and after three return visits by me and four for my wife, the eyeglasses are not useable, both of us are using our previous prescription eyeglasses purchased prior to our move to Raleigh. She has no respect for our time or expectations for a usable pair of eyeglasses. Spent just south of $1,000 (plus insurance contribution) for two pair of glasses, for myself and my wife. The office declined to offer a refund after our 3 & 4 return visits. As an owner of a professional business myself I cannot imagine treating a client as such. Hindsight, I wish I would have read reviews of this office as I see many others have had similar experiences. I had my first visit here yesterday and it was a great experience. Every person that I dealt with had a great attitude. everyone has a smile on their face, and they were clearly happy to work there. It is obvious that they put their best effort into taking care of their patients whether it's at check-in during the exam or checking out. This was the most that I've had in quite some time. Level of trust that you can have in this entire group of people is not something that you will find every day in any business or doctors office. Throughout the entire visit, I felt like I was the most important person in the detail that they put in to making sure that your vision is protected and taken care of is quite amazing. I have been coming to this place for years and the doctors are really good (I would come for treatment), but the glasses' department is not working like they did in the past. I wanted to get a 2 new pair of glasses today and they made me wait for almost an hr. When a guy finally came to help the next person which it was me, he decided to help an old lady that was there for less time that I was and he went to fix her glasses and let me there with boxes of glasses to choose a pair but no one to help. Hubs and I went to Heritage Eye Care for the first time last weekend, on a Saturday. Yes, they are open on Saturdays. We had made the appointment almost 2 months in advance, but that didn't matter very much since it had been years since either of us had an eye exam. We were greeted by the friendly staff upon entering. We had already completed our paperwork as newbies since it was available online so we were taken back fairly quickly. We were in separate rooms for our appointments but we were both taken through the same steps and procedures as Dr. Blair Stone performed our exams. She was pleasant, informative, and thorough. It was actually a really relaxing experience and didn't seem like I was going to a Dr. appt at all, which was really nice. Hubs needed some reading glasses (not me, since I have perfect eyes and perfect vision-shameless plug) and was helped by the staff to find something that was appealing to him, and me of course, and was affordable and stylish. Overall, it was a seamless and painless procedure, and an experience we can walk away with feeling at ease and happy to go back for our next exam- which will be timely and at least once a year now. read more

This was my second visit to Heritage, and I was expecting a bit of a let down from my first visit. Well, that went by the wayside as soon as I saw Jill's smiling face upon entry. And yet again I was blown away by everyone on staff. Dr. Luu is now my favorite health professional period. She was so nice, helpful, and funny without losing an ounce of professionalism. Ashley was as outstanding as she was last year. Amy made sure that I understood every aspect of my insurance and what it covered. She also gave me options on my next appointment. Marie and Courtney were in a meeting with a factory rep, but immediately interrupted what I can only imagine was important and time restricted to help my wife choose her new frames. Wherever you are currently going for your optometric needs, you need to give what is obviously the best practice in the Triangle a try. read more

I've been a patient here for 5 years now I believe. Very friendly and caring staff. This is a top notch doctor! The office is super clean and they offer refreshments and light snacks while you wait. But I haven't ever waited more than 3-5 min to go back. They've never been behind schedule and I always see the same doctor. In and out with all the exams and dilation in an hour with everything explained well and just plain efficiently. I didn't feel like I was one of 5 patients. Dr. lee was able to give me very individualized attention. She's so cheerful and an absolute delight! Dr. Yoakum is also very nice! read more

Omg I struck gold. Had been to about a dozen stores in the Raleigh area looking for some new men's Maui Jim's I need for my new prescription. Most of the places selection were not to my liking at all. The Eye Institute who I go to for new prescriptions selection was not like it was 3 years ago but they mentioned they had recently bought Heritage Eye Care and they had a large selection of Maui Jim's. I went in and funny thing is I live in that area and never knew they existed and found out been there 15 years. Their selection was nice. Had all styles and good selection The best part of the entire experience was after trying on several pairs a very Nice friendly lady named Marie Dobyns came over and asked if I needed any help. I'm not the easiest person to work with and am very selective in the style and look I like in my sun glasses. Marie was amazing. Simply fantastic. I mean I tried on prob 20 pairs and retried on several. Even texted my college aged son and FaceTimed him to ask his opinion. Marie was so patient and answered all questions I had , helped me telling me about how they fit ( as since I can't truly tell without prescription glasses on ) I went by feel and selfie's I took and she took pics of me with them on so I could then see how they looked as well. Marie was incredibly helpful and prob spent a good 45 minutes with me but was well worth it as I found a pair I liked a lot. She even ordered them for me in the color and lens color I wanted. Also let me know as I had mentioned wish Maui Jim could just put reg lens back in old pair so my son or someone else could have them. She let me know they will do that for a low cost so I jumped on that as well. What made this experience so great was Marie. So welcoming , funny , approachable , engaging beside being so knowledgeable as i found out she has been there 15 years.
