I had a great experience at MyEyeDR. I consider Ranceenia to be an Individual with outstanding character. Ranceenia, demonstrated dependability, and a positive and professional attitude, which are a rarity in many people today; however, I have witnessed these qualities and more in Ranceenia. Ranceenia, assisted me, she went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfactory. I noticed that Ranceenia provides the necessary leadership for other coworkers. She was a true pleasure to have assist me finding what I needed and Ranceenia truly understands the meaning of customer service. Therefore, without reservation, I give Ranceenia the highest recommendation of customer service and Leadership. read more

They are the worst. Since Dr Goodman left they are THE WORST. Appts canceled same day. If you're lucky you spend 1 1/2 hrs on a simple exam. Don't go. read more

This place has no regard for appointment times. I've had to reschedule twice and didn't get an opportunity to see the eye doctor. Each time I waited 30 minutes past the appointment time, and decided to leave. This place is complete garage. Friendly front desk staff. read more

The most unprofessional establishment I've ever been to. Avoid this place!!! On top of the unprofessional workers, their policies are crazy as well. If you make an appointment and don't answer when they call- they will change your appointment time, instead of waiting for you to return their call. And yes, I called back the same day and they still changed my daughter's appointment time. read more

The Forestville location is the best. The staff there are great. The return policy is fair. I was very satisfied with their professional service. read more

Excellent Excellent Excellent I can not say this enough. I had a 10:30 appointment scheduled I got there around 10:19 and was immediately greeted by the front door staff. She asked for my name and I filled out a questionnaire that took less than 5 minutes. Before I knew it I was in meeting with the Dr. Opoku-Debrah. She really made my visit a 5 star by being very personable and adding in her dry sense of humor. She didn't even get on me for not having had an examination in almost 2 years . She answered all of my questions and made sure that I knew exactly what was going on through each step of the process. If you have an exam here I would recommend asking for her she was simply phenomenal. I have been coming to this location for years so I already knew what kind of service to expect, but this time I was completely blown away! I was out of there In less than an hour, a new personal best cant wait till I'm back! read more

MyEyeDr - This office I always clean. I love it here - Optometrists Near Me - Forestville, Maryland

The Forestville MyEyeDr has gotten so much better over the years. I don't always get Dr. Goodman, my favorite, but I have never been disappointed with the doctors that I have seen. They have handled vision and medical eye issues for me. Everything has gone well, even though my eyes are betraying me! The waiting room and restroom could use a good scrubbing. There are system problems that slow the staff down. But those staff members are very personable, they know their stuff, and they keep you engaged while you wait. I have been a patient here since 1985, left for a while when they struggled in the early 2000's, and returned about five years ago when a friend told me how much they had improved. I am pleased. I suggest you give them a shot! read more

I am extremely disgusted with this location. I have worn glasses/ contacts for almost 30 years so I take my eye doctor appointments very seriously. I scheduled an appointment online on August 6, 2020 for September 4th at 10:00 am and received a confirmation email to confirm my appointment. I arrived for my appointment, and due to Covid-19, I had to call to access the office. I spoke to a representative from this office who proceeds to tell me that she doesn't see my scheduled appointment and then tells me that I'm scheduled for September 8th at 10:15am. I hung up to verify that I had the correct date and time for the appointment. Once I verified that I had the correct information I called the office back to let them know that I had a confirmation email confirming my appointment. I spoke to another representative who repeated what the previous representative stated and then asked me how did I schedule my appointment. I told her that I scheduled the appointment online as encouraged by My Eye Dr in all of their promotional materials. She then tells me that "that may have been the problem." What does that even mean?! How does my appointment not match what's in my email confirmation? There was no apology offered or accommodations made as September 8th is not convenient for me. I arranged my entire schedule as well as my previous days off from work around this appointment. I did not find the staff particularly helpful, courteous or accommodating. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and infuriating. I will NEVER patronize this location again and may never deal with the franchise either. read more

MyEyeDr - Optometrists Near Me - Forestville, Maryland

The doctor that performed my eye exam was nice and professional. The people helping you choose glasses have no idea what they are doing. They know nothing about facial inset or facial outset, or selecting the appropriate glasses to avoid cosmetic distortion. They recommended expensive, oversized glasses that are way too big for my thick prescription which requires high index lenses. (High index looks better in small oval or rectangle frames). I then am told that they intend to use the display eyeglasses that everyone's hands and germs have been all over to fill my prescription, so I found a pair I liked in the store and ordered then online -new. A week later, I bring the glasses in to fill the lenses, and when I got them back, it was a thick mess that didn't even look like high index and the glasses keep falling off my face because they are so heavy, and loose at the ears. The tech was condescending and asked me what I did to them! I had only worn the glasses for 15 minutes since I received them because they were so uncomfortable and ill-fitting. He adjusted them, but they still fit terribly and look like who done it and what for. Their customer service is a joke; I will never buy there again. Walmart is less expensive and does a better job on high index prescriptions, as does Glassesusa online. read more

MyEyeDr - Look how thick these glasses are, & it's supposedly high index. Last time customer here. Never again! Terrible customer service - Optometrists Near Me - Forestville, Maryland

Pretty disappointed. I had an appointment on President's Day and was told that my glasses would be ready by Friday, March 04. I call and they are not ready. No problem. I call again on Monday and I was told by the young lady that their system was down and that I had to call their call center (?). She gives me the number (1-866-693-9366). I double check with her to make sure that I have the correct number by having her repeat the number so that I may write it down. She even asked another female employee to verify the call center(?) number. I call the number and there is a "saleswoman" trying to get me to buy an emergency response necklace (?). I tell the woman that I just want to check on some glasses. She said that she couldn't help me with my glasses but that I have won a "free prize " for calling. I call back and was told by a gentleman (Marc) that they would be ready tomorrow (Tuesday, March 08).Today I call and was told by a woman (Sharita(?) that my glasses needed to be ordered and that it will be another week and a half before they came in. Wow! Interesting since I picked mine off of the shelf on the floor. An hour later, I get a text stating that my glasses were ready for pickup........sounded like some employees didn't want to be bothered with patients calling and asking where there glasses are or being bothered with anyone coming to the center to pick them up. I hope that this doesn't happen again the next time I am due for glasses or I will be going elsewhere. I must add that the front desk staff and Dr. Williams was awesome and so was the gentleman Marc that gave me accurate information on when my glasses would be in which ended up being today as was verified again by a text message from MyEyeDr. read more

This location customer service is the worst especially the front desk staff! Who knew?! My husband was kind enough to make us both appointments to get our eyes checked. It had been YEARS and we know we were both overdue. But when I found out where we were going I said "You made appointments for us WHERE?!" Oh my, I thought. What possessed him to make an appointment at My Eye Doctor and in District Heights no less? It just seemed so random. But he can be random, which is why I love him... But there's more. He made the appointments on Martin Luther King, Jr Day. Yes. This man has lost his mind. Dr King had a dream, and that did not include having my eyes checked on the day that celebrates his legacy. I felt guilty. But I was indeed "off" that day (and MLK Day is supposed to be a day "on" - right?)....[sigh]... I digress. So off we go for our mid-day appointments on this special day at this very unspecial place. Oh.my.gosh - parking lot is PACKED. Packed I tell you. Are they giving frames away free for the holiday? What is going on? We have to park the equivalent of 1.5 blocks away. This is not far, but considering they have a private lot with over 20 spots, this tells you how busy this place was. We walk in and it is PUMPIN'. Well-lit, clean, large, and there are SO MANY PEOPLE in here. It's crazy. So busy. MLK - your people are here. We sign in and are seen within 20 minutes. Yes - you read correctly. I am shocked. I am even more shocked that the Optometrist, a lovely mild-mannered pleasant Dr Ibrahim is as nice as can be considering he's busy as sh*t today. We comment how we are surprised they are open today and how packed they are. He said they were told to be open (corporate!), and the schedule today proves the need is there. He was so nice, explained everything, took his time, and then sent us on our merry way. I even joked that once my husband gets his glasses, he will be shocked at who he married but find it's too late to turn back (we've got 10 years under our belt!). Dr Ibrahim said just the opposite; correcting me in that my husband with his new specs will be even more delighted than he was 10 years ago. I really liked this optometrist, LOL... Then it was off to the frames. What a whirlwind. But they've got it down to a well-rehearsed dance, and we were done in minutes. Phat insurance didn't hurt either. I was pleasantly surprised. I really was. I would highly recommend this place. Do not be put-off by the very old very dull lackluster exterior. The staff and remodeled interior more than make up for it! read more

I had a confirmed appointment for 840am. I arrived at 835am and the doors are locked. It's almost 9am and the doors are still locked. My last two reviews were 1-star as well due to extreme wait times and lackluster customer service. I keep coming because it's so close to my house but this is the last time! read more

Worst place ever. Customers service sucks and they over charge for exams. Be aware scammers! They tried to charge me for both an eye exam and then again for a contact eye exam. When you get to the examination room, they try and con you out of more money by stating you need additional services. I walked out and made an appointment for LENS CRAFTERS! read more

This place is AWESOME! I've been coming here since I was in middle school and I won't go anywhere else! Even when I moved to Georgia for five years, I made a point to visit to have my eye exams here. I graduated '11, so that's got to say something for loyalty. And with great reason! They have quick, efficient, and incomparable service! I had to postpone my appointment today, and the receptionist I spoke to was very polite and helpful with changing my time (btw, they send a call in advance to remind you about your appt., and when your schedule is like mine, that means A LOT. *que appreciative clap*). The waiting area is always clean. There's a mounted television and magazines to entertain your wait. The staff is very polite and professional. There was decent business today, and I was seen about 10 minutes after my arrival--impressive :). Dr. Ibrahim is EXCELLENT!! He was great at helping me to understand my eyesight, and he was patient if I wasn't sure which setting was clearer. He is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Super professional, knowledgeable, intelligent, easygoing, and humble!! It's easy to see that he is in love with his career--and that's the type of optometrist you want to trust with your vision!! Odell was VERY helpful assisting me to find a frame that fit my personality, needs, and liking. I ended up switching from a pair I had originally chosen because I fell in love with the pair he recommended, and it helped that he was very knowledgable!! Versus just taking my payment, he made sure I was comfortable and found the pair of glasses that was right for me!! There is so much more that goes into a pair of glasses than just being able to see. My Eye Dr makes it a rewarding experience, and I'm sure my eyes will thank me for it 8D!! I look forward to returning to pick up my frames. They always make the trip worth it! read more

I was looking for another eye glass place to go this year and came across this store that I forgot to leave a review for last year. Y'all need to know it's awful! First off I was really just going to get both my prescriptions (far away and close up) into one glass--cause i drive with one pair and read with another--it's crazy. I had an eye exam and because it seemed my eyes had changed (remember i am going to combine my prescriptions) the doctor alluded to the fact that I might have diabetes which scared me to death. Which resulted in a wasted trip to the doctor. Which cost me $170 cause i have a deductible---only to find out that i didn't have it. So, i go back and use that prescription to get glasses. It was wrong. (I should have figured the doctor had it wrong). And it was NOTHING like the prescription that I already have. Close up was ok but the far away was blurry. After two times of them adjusting it and a bad case of customer service (where the young guy behind the counter signed in and waited on a young cute girl BEFORE me) and then argued with me that there are many glasses made with STRAIGHT arms. I was like "Young man i have been wearing glasses since i was five and I have NEVER seen straight arms". He even went so far as to look for some. *smh* Anyhoo, my youngest daughter said I should have stuck to my guns and have them keep trying till they got it right but I was discouraged. So, for one more year I have been stuck with two pairs of glasses....one for driving...one for reading. As the saying goes 'people might not remember your name but they will always remember how they felt'---and i felt pretty awful after being here. Not sure if anything has changed but be forewarned. read more

Dr. Goodman and Shareeda also provided me with great service on my contact exam and purchase. My only comment would be I wish the office would open at least two Saturdays a month. 6 days ago...... Horrible customer service. They are rude, they have no consideration for their guests. Jasmine I think is her name doing the pre exam rude af. She rude they talk about paying guests at the front desk. Where is the customer service? What is the company teaching in customer service, if anything. I asked for my contacts to be shipped because I never want to go back there, they couldn't do that right! I'll never step foot back in there...... they couldn't pay me to return...... save yourself and choose another location or different company altogether!
