Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Lu Vuu, My, and their team for the purchase of windows for my entire house. I compared pricing with 6-8 major Milgard window suppliers, as well as independent installers and resellers across the Bay Area, and they offered the best price I could find. What impressed me even more was their 10/10 post-purchase customer service. They were always available to answer questions, help procure any missing parts, coordinate delivery, and assist with the rebate program. Their support throughout the entire process was exceptional. Based on my experience, they are definitely one of the best window and door companies in the Bay Area. If you're looking for windows or doors, I highly recommend visiting them. You'll be well taken care of from start to finish. read more

We've had a great series of experiences with My Window & Doors over the past 18 months. From start to finish of several window & door projects, they've been responsive, reasonably priced, and went above and beyond to help us. For example, they sent someone to our home to confirm measurements. They also jumped in to fix something quickly so we wouldn't have to wait so long for the manufacturer to fix it. We've been to their San Jose location multiple times to work on our order and they've always been friendly and helpful. We love the look of our Therma Tru entry door and Marvin Essential black fiberglass windows & sliding patio door. My Window & Doors was recommended by our very knowledgeable & trustworthy general contractor, and we are very thankful for it. read more

These guys play games. I went in to get a quote for a Thermatru modern double door. They said they will get me quotes from that company and another one that may be cheaper. When they sent me the quote, the Thermatru was 4 times the normal price whereas the knock off no name had a quote 4 times less and around the price of what an actual Thermatru door would cost. Absolute shenanigans trying to steer unsuspecting customers to their cheap Chinese knock off brand. Don't think your customers are stupid. Knock it off with your stupid games. read more

So dissappointed and upset with My Window & Door Solutions. When we visited the store, we were told by Erika that the security screen door with installation would cost 2,245.16. After it was ordered and installed, Thuy notified us that we had to pay an additional 750.00 for installation! Of course, Erika couldn't be found to dispute Thuy's claim and nothing was listed in the original contract stating extra installation fees would occur. I notified Thuy and My of what Erika said (including the contract having no statment of additonal installation fees), but they wouldn't listen. We ended up paying an additional 600.00 that was never discussed. The only reason I gave them two stars is because of the workers that came out were very friendly and they did install the door properly. So you don't fall for their undisclosed extra fees, please use another company for any door or window work. read more

I recently upgraded to a patio sliding door and had a really great experience. The team walked me through options available in store and online, along with their distinct features, which made the whole decision a lot easier. We ended up going with a patio sliding door from LaCantina, and love how it turned out! Our kitchen feels way more open, and there's so much more natural light coming in. Overall, a really smooth process and a great product. I highly recommend them to anyone considering upgrading windows and doors read more

We discovered as we were preparing our home for sale that the double pane window seals were failing. We were on a very tight time schedule, and we had already relocated out of state. Not only did these folks respond immediately, but they sent out a team to measure the windows and produced a comprehensive quote for us within 48 hours. They somehow managed to get the window IGUs on site within a week, on Friday, but they were installed the following Monday at a VERY reasonable price. We can't exaggerate how pleased we are with their service, their communications and their responsiveness. They are real lifesavers and we highly recommend them! read more

After visiting several different places, we stumbled into this business looking for window covering options. We were highly impressed with their large assortment of shades, blinds and shutters at affordable prices. Thao (sales associate) was extremely patient throughout our long shopping trip, knowledgeable, and helpful explaining all the different options. We ended up purchasing the Hunter Douglas products. All the items were delivered within the timeframe promised. The installers were punctual, friendly and very professional making the entire process seamless as possible. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for any door or window replacements given their superior service and from start to finish. A friend referred us to My Window & Door Solutions during a recent home remodel. All the workers were very helpful, informative and responsive to our inquiries. The pricing was very competitive and they were willing to work with us based on our budget. There was a large selection of products so we were able to get exactly what we wanted. We changed the IWP entry door Jeld Wen and it looks so nice. Nothing but great things to say about this business and we wouldn't hesitate to return again for any of our window/door/ bathroom/ window covering needs. read more

Buyer, beware. MY Window has sterling reviews here and they seem to do a good job, on the surface! My windows, installed by MY in the summer of 2021, leaked badly during the March 2023 storms resulting in $67,000 in repair bills. MY's answer to the leak - your property manager selected the $300/window retrofit and not the $700/window reinstall. So I paid $30,000 for the windows and MY Will warranty it for only one year!! Who would want to spend $30,000 for one year. In comparison, my old aluminum windows lasted 50 years with zero leak since the house was built! The problem is that the retrofit was poorly implemented. There were no flashing around the window frame to keep the windows airtight and waterproofed. The caulking was uneven. Most of the window frames were held together by nails, not screws. But you won't see that until it rains. The result, the vinyl windows "look" beautiful and quality outside but a lot is missing "inside". MY does not stand behind her work, unlike many other honorable installers like HD Flooring I had the pleasure to Work with!! Buyer, beware!! El Niño is coming and so may windows installed by MY read more

Be warned and stay away from this business if you need to buy/install new windows for your home. A couple of reasons: 1. There are better alternatives such as AMC glass company on Monterey Highway with better pricing, quality of work and customer service. 2. Some of the sale staff is dishonest, ignorant, irresponsible plus customer service is poor as well (i.e. Thi, a saleslady who has no training in window/door business, only interested in making a quick profit and leaves customers in the dark once a purchase has been made.) 3. The business does not have its own installation workers and has to refer the job to contractors and some turn out to be sloppy or even cheat customers. read more

It is second time using My Windows. It's fast and easy process to work with them. We were looking for to replace 2 new construction windows which would match with our existing windows. My window quickly send out their installer to measure the windows and with the same date we received the quote. Their price was reasonable and we decided go to with them with full package materials + labor. About 8 weeks, the 2 new windows from Milgard Tuscany arrived, and they called us to schedule the installation right away. Their installers were top not and they redo the stucco, caulking carefully then they installed the windows and the exterior casing which matched our existing ones. We had a smooth experience with My Window and highly recommend My Window for windows replacement. read more

I contacted a few companies that have a good review on Yelp to replace my front door. My Window was fastest responded and they called me right away to let me know what the next steps should be. My Window team emailed me entry doors catalog for me to browse. I was able to select the door which I liked very much. They were able to provide me a quote at the same date that I emailed them. Really appreciate their quick response. I finally purchased IWP from Jeldwen. Before I even placed the order, my windows send their installer to my house to get the measurement. They double checked everything before placing the order. Despite the lead time for the door to arrive around 15-16 weeks, they installed them the date after the door arrived. Their installation team did an excellent work. I'm very pleased with the whole process and continued work with them in the near future read more

Very bad customer experience. Timeline: 1. Ordered 2 Simonton windows on 3/1/2022. Glass arrived in mid April. Didn't pick up immediately. 2. When I pick them up in May, one of the glass is broken. Thus I waited for the new glass to be produced and delivered... 3. Fixed glass arrived in July, but I was told the other window was broken... I picked up both windows and they mentioned once the fixed glass delivered, they would come to my place to install fixed glass. 4. Then in September the glass was delivered. I want to call out during the process, I need to constantly follow up and push the process and the fixed glass got delayed for both times... I wrote many emails, made many phone calls and sometimes don't get replied or answered 5. The worker came to my house to install the glass, but broke the glass during the installation... Yes, it's the third time... 6. Then I need to wait for fixed glass to be reproduced and redelivered.. maybe due to the glass being broken for too many times, this time I waited for 4 months... The window producer outsourced warranty service to a third company who further outsourced glass installation service to the fourth company. And none of the companies are taking responsibility and glass got missed and reproduced during the process.. 5. Finally mid Feb 2023, someone came to my place and installed glass properly. During this process I directly work & coordinate with the outsourced companies myself by making a lot of phone calls and writing emails... Yes the end to end timeline is almost a year for just 2 windows but broken 3 times. I need to drive the resolution myself in the end and don't feel they share great empathy with customers. Yes Simonton also need to take responsibilities due to horrible customer service. But they just keep blaming Simonton and not working hard to really help me. I want to call out, they are the ones broke window for three times and just use Simonton warranty service which is free. They didn't really pay any compensation for the customer as a way to be responsible for the mistake they've made and inconvenience they have brought to their customers. read more

Using My Window and Door was one of the best home improvement experiences I've ever had. The staff was attentive, friendly and most of all very patient while my wife and I worked to choose the best price and quality option for our home. We needed to replace 16 old double-hung single pane windows with new energy efficient custom windows. They had many vendors and options to choose from, including all the major vendors we had already researched and found the costs here were much much less than other stores we visited. I mean substantially less for the SAME windows. The staff was very knowledgeable and seemed very well trained and experienced which really helped us to make a final decision. The inspection and measurement team was great. Very respectful and made sure they got all the correct measurements the first time. This made the installation go quick and smooth. The installation team did a fantastic job and cleaned everything up and hauled all the old junk windows away. We are enjoying a much cooler home now with beautiful new windows. We were looking for windows and doors for our remodel in Oakland. Our contractor recommended My Window to us to shop for windows and doors. Therefore, we contacted them for our selection of windows and doors. All staffs were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. They were really careful to check all the windows sizes and willingly to work with us patiently. They recommended us to go with Milgard Fiberglass with White exterior & interior because we were looking for modern and contemporary look, and we ended up liking the windows a lot. We were so happy with the windows process, so we decided to order the interior doors and handles as well. They were extremely nice and helpful with our doors order. They even sent their installers to the jobsite to double check all the doors sizes. It's our pleasure to work with them and of course we strongly recommend My Window to all and will use them for our upcoming projects. read more

I agreed with the positive reviews here. I worked with Vu on my house for all the windows, interior doors, entry doors & skylights. He has been very helpful & knowledgeable & a pleasure to work with . One of our bedroom window was not egress, he noticed us to change the window from single hung to casement to meet egress. He checked our T 24 very carefully to make sure all the windows meet the T 24 requirement. Besides that, the price is very good compared to 3 different dealers in the bay areas. We are very happy with My Window & Door Solutions. We will come back in the future & for sure recommend any of our friends who need windows & doors here. read more

This review is not to bash anyone. This review is meant to reveal to other consumers the reality of which I experienced with this company, so others can be aware, and make sure to cross their T's if deciding to choose this company. My experience went from good to worse quickly. We work hard for our keep, and when we need work done on our home, we need it done correctly and professionally, right? As a renter in the Bay Area, everyone knows the rates are sky high. When you've got a landlord who does a great job at anything that needs to be done in the home, it makes it all worth it. The landlord and I are always in CLEAR communication, there is never miscommunication. We discovered a new sliding door was needed, the landlord found a company to get the job done. The company should have been on top of everything including whether HOA had specific colors for the doors etc. It was clear enough for any contractor to see the other condos in the Villa were a specific color. This company did not care to notice that. Whether the landlord ordered white or NOT, the company should have confirmed that it didn't need to be a specific color. They failed at that when they initially came out to measure to place the order. I know factly that window companies ensure HOA guidelines are in place. It's a no Brainer. This company for one has a poor level of customer service. Secondly, the hack job they did to install a new sliding door was a complete fail. The company literally hacked structure, and have come out multiple times after me having to call about a leak from rain coming from the inside of the house. My calls had been unanswered for so long in 2019 nearly 5 months. Apparently, the owner was in Vietnam for 6 months-- and left the company in the hands of unprofessionals. The dishonest and sloppy workers that came to look at the problem blamed it on the infrastructure of the home and the deck above. Even after the employee coming out and using my hose (unmasked in the middle of SARS-COV btw) to spray the top of the window seal to see whether it was their fault the leaks were coming inside during rainy season. I sent a video dated and timed the same day her contractor came--which clearly showed the leak on the inside of the house. My explained she would fix the problem and also install another window in the kitchen at no cost due to their mistake. Finally the owner (My) sent someone I could understand clearly, Ernie- nice guy, from another window installation company. He looked at the job and was in shock! He explained the damage this company did, and left an open ended statement that it may not be reversible. He explained this to be a liability and didn't want his company tangled up in their mess. I've tried to reach out to find out a date of arrival and placement of the kitchen window, with no luck in communication. Apparently My now has left someone in charge as she is out of the country again...what really is disturbing about that is, she failed communication with me after she sent Ernie. It's truly unfortunate. ** I, the renter (as she so boldly points out in her response to my review) DID in fact work with My through the ENTIRE process, via phone calls and texts. It was I. And her response now is that I'm the renter and the owner is to notice me not the company. This is appalling since I had been the only point of contact during this process. Her response to me is disappointing. The renter lives in the home, knows the problems in the home. The owner just put the work order in place and I followed through with it. I respect and honor people in my life, and have done so with the owner of the home I'm renting. I will make sure that his home is taken care of properly as I would do with my own home when I purchase. It's respect, it's a constant practice. But, hey, now y'all know. Hope this review helps you when choosing new windows for your home! Bless up! read more

Came in for a walk-in consultation on some windows we wanted to replace. I said hello to the front desk woman since we were not acknowledged when we walked in. She was making very little eye contact with us and raising her tone after each question she asked me. She asked what brands I was looking for and I responded with what brands do you carry? After that she practically continued to yell out whatever question followed. During this time face masks are required to enter any business, we did, she wasn't wearing a mask so no need for the tone of voice. Anyway, I began to pick up that my business was not welcome here. She asked about budgets and I told her we wanted to look at prices, she scoffed and said okay I'll show you prices. I am a Mexican woman who was simply looking for a quote on some nice windows at a window shop. Trust me I know it wasn't going to be a couple hundred dollars, but this woman assumed I would not be able to pay. It's so disappointing that in a time like this, my skin color earned me the worst service possible. With my fluent English I politely declined the rest of the consultation and left the shop. I'm sure if I were not a person of color I would have gotten the service others claimed they received. This shop has earned 5 stars for the worst customer service. Props to you! FYI: I was standing 2 feet away from the front desk, not 12 feet like you are claiming (we would have had to shout in that case). We were never offered a proper consultation. Of course race or ability to pay would not be discussed, that's a given. It was assumed by the scoffing and expressions made by your employee. Not sure if you're getting the story right. Second employee present heard the whole thing and did nothing to make the situation better. Regardless, the customer service was rude and uncalled for. read more

Be beware of this place, an unprofessional owner and salesperson runs this business and they will waste your time and experience. Honestly, the bad reviews that they have on here is more worse than I thought. First, this is an important message to MY, the owner: If you refuse to do the business with a me , DO NOT send people to my house especially during COVID 19 if you were thinking of being serious doing business with me. Seriously, do not give me a fake promise that you will give me the quote, it would have been better to tell me that you can't. Instead, you waste my time dealing with your actions. Second, this goes to Nina the salesperson, I now know who you truly are. Some things to remember, DON'T lie with your customers, not only do you show such an unprofessional attitude, you also show that you continuously lie all the time. Don't think of trying to fool people anymore. Never ever even try this place people, this was my mistake. I'm hoping that other future customers will be aware of this business as there are tons of other place that sell windows and doors with professionalism. Such a bad place with bad people. UPDATE REVIEW. My, I don't know if you're lying or that you listened to a very lying employee in particular, Nina, who told you that I asked her to give me 5 quotes, How's ridiculous ! I have never asked her to give me 5 quotes, it's a lie. Also, you did not bother to email me either, which is another lie. How can you be serious? Did you already know that the email got through or not? This is supposed to be a simple thing that you can fix, so stop dragging this situation longer than it should be. If you really cared about your business reviews on yelp especially, LISTEN to your customers and fix the way you're dealing with customers, If you thought you could lie your way out of this, it's getting annoying, and you're not fooling anyone. So stop making the customers feel bad as if they're at fault. read more
