We have heard great things about this place and finally made it for lunch. It was not busy for a Saturday afternoon and we were helped right away. We ordered green curry with chicken and beef pad Thai. The curry was delicious and I will definitely order it again. The pad Thai was not the best I've had, but was good. Finally got a chance to try My Thai Kitchen, so glad we did! They are tight for space, but our family of six were accommodated just fine. Timing from sitting to menus to waters to ordering went just fine for a single waitress in a full dining room. Appetizers came soon enough, and the molasses sauce for the dumplings was awesome. The food came in 3 waves, but not too spaced apart. I had the drunken noodles with tofu, very flavorful with tons of spice, without being over the top with heat. Wife had the peanut pad thai, and loved it. Kids had the orange chicken and bbq ribs, everyone wants to go back. PLENTY left for taking home, even shared with a co-worker Highly recommend, don't let the exterior dissuade you. Once you are inside, with the curtains closed, just enjoy the food made as authentically as you'll ever find for this area. After a recommendation from a friend, we tried this place for a second time. First time was 3 years ago. It was good then and good now. We went for lunch so we were there at 11.30 on a Tuesday. Seated ourselves and server came right away with menus and came right back with drinks. I'm new to thai food so I needed a little help with the menu. Opted for steamed veggies with tofu and drunken noodles. Meals came with salad, rice and a wonton for 8.95. Everything was served quickly, hot, cooked perfectly for me and super delicious. Menu indicates it is Longview 's first authentic Thai restaurant. True. Very good food. Menu had to be awkwardly translated into Longview-American to avoid confusion for patrons, but this does not diminish from the high food quality. Waitress Twyla was knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Owner Pam was delightful and clearly invested in ensuring customers enjoy her cooking. She said she makes her own food much spicier, which I would enjoy, next time, I shall order "Pam style" and am confident I will give 5 stars! When we informed our waitress that one of our party did not get their food we were told that "if you would have told me earlier she would have her food". Amazing fresh food, cooked fresh every order. Many options to chose from-including vegan/vegetarian. Best thai in town with fresh ingredients. Very reasonable prices. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. Food was served in a timely manner-a little longer due to made to order, but not long at all. This will become a regular dining experience for us. I tried their Mussman curry last night and was fair at best, I have had at several other Thai restaurants and the flavors were fairly consistent. At My Thai Kitchen the flavor was a bit bitter which means there was not a good balance of the ingredients. I do not know how the other menu items stack up but I do not think I will return. Mussman is the key dish I rate Thai restaurants by, anyone can make a golden or red curry so probably not an issue there, takes more time and skill to make Mussman correctly. read more

Yup, it's as good as it gets. My husband and I eat here a lot, like once a week, we love this place. We love the food, I mean really, the thai fried rice is the best ever and there are like 5 different kinds. Personally I will never eat chinese fried rice again, and the noodles, oh be still my heart, love it. We have had the CALAMARI there a few times and it was tender not tough at all, when you can take one bite of a fried calamari ring and not pull the whole piece out of the breading then it is not overcooked. We love this place for several reasons beside the fantastic tasting food, but also because we know that this is healthy food, lots of vegatables and fresh ingredients. There is a couple of negative reviews on yelp, my advice, look at how many reviews are negative vs how many are positive. Remember my fellow americans, you can also adjust how hot a dish is. Last but not least give it a try. Favorite dishes, drunken noodles, yellow curry, coconut chicken noodle soup, glass noodles, ok, everything, working our way thru the menu, one dish at a time. First off let me say that the food is excellent here. It is by far the best Thai in Longview; with that being said I can still only leave 1 star. The reason for this is because the service is horrendous. I have been here on multiple occasions since My Thai Kitchen has opened hoping for an improvement and for them to get settled since it is a new establishment. Each time has been worst than the last. The main waitress is extremely rude and unhelpful. It will be several minutes before even being acknowledged and you feel like the biggest inconvenience (this has been in non busy times). There are no greetings or even a smile and a nod. The wait time is always longer than quoted which is not the biggest deal but if you question the status of your order you will be barked at about it. I have also been denied a to-go order at 7:30 p.m. even though they are open until 8. As a new business, turning away customers seems counterproductive. I will choose to go to a Thai restaurant with not as great food but treats me way better. Until improvements have been made, My Thai Kitchen has lost a customer. read more
