I would love to give this place 5 stars. They are always busy and always delicious. I got take out yesterday, and it was So good, I decided to get it again today. Except - phone problems again. Got disconnected, then it was busy, then when it finally rang through, it just rang and rang and rang. I ended up going somewhere else because of this. They don't have online ordering and their phone issues are problematic. Maybe they just have so many customers, they don't need any more. Idk. I generally only order on off days (never Fridays), and still Thursday I was unable to get through. Disappointed, but I'll still order from them on off days (non busy-ish days). read more

First visit & stopped in to order the Chicken Shawarma with garlic Entree served with Hummus & Fattoush. Hummus & Fattoush were spot-on delicious. Even the pita was soft & fresh. Garlic paste - scrumptious. The Shawarma was good, but I've had much tastier Shawarma other places. I love the pickled sides that are served with Middle East entrees. My only reason for 4 out of 5 stars was the underwhelming chicken & the chopped up tomato as a side. Other than that & it's a very minor minus, the fast & friendly service was great for a chance carry out after work. I do recommend you try Canton Pita if you are craving M.E. food & are in the area. Next time, I'll stop back at lunchtime & try a Lunch Special - maybe the Falafel or Shish Kafta. See! I wouldn't stop back if it wasn't yummy. Bon appetit. read more

We heard really good things about this place, so we wanted to give it a try. We walked in and looked at the menu; We asked a couple of questions about the items on the menu, the you g girl at the register was more lost then we were seeing that menu for the first time. We ordered a half tray after we pay we were told it will take 30 minutes, when the restaurant had 3 people besised us (3 hungry guys) inside. Any restaurant will tell you if it is a waiting time or how long it will take for your carry out order before you put the order, especially if you work there and know you are behind. We ordered the three lunch specials in the hope that will be done sooner. We got no waiting time and said we will let you know when it is ready. We waited at least 45 minutes... In the meantime we asked the young lady (making sure) that they did not forgot about us. We were assured that our order is being made. After waiting and waiting, where people came and got their orders (phone orders, online orders...) we were still there waiting. At the end they realized that they made all their orders but ours was still missing... "Sorry guys, your order never made it to the kitchen, so nobody made it". Probably we were supposed to go in the kitchen and tell them what we ordered? Is there a new system in place that we were not aware of? How horrible, looking at three people in front of you for 45 minutes just to realize how great your customer service is. Well to not let room for confusion... HORRIBLE! never heard of such thing. One thing is for sure, if you are hungry and don't plan on waiting 45 minutes to hear that nobody is even making your order, my advice is avoid this place. Never returning again to a place that treats customers like this... Lowest level of customer service, attention to details and respect to people's time and kindness. We got our refund and left without a bye. That place well never see us or our friends there again. read more

I've been eyeing this location for a little while now, and stopped here for a little bite of lunch after work. I'm a relative newcomer to Middle Eastern food (if it tastes good, I'm in!), so I decided to stay on the safe side with a Meat Shwarma to go. The combination of meat (lamb? beef? Whatever it was, it was great), tomato, tahini sauce, and onion within a nice warm wrap was relatively inexpensive and tasted great, very flavorful :D The establishment isn't anything fancy, but it is very clean like other Yelpers have said, and has a nice family-like atmosphere :D will be heading back to try more parts of the menu! read more

I was in town visiting my parents and wanted to get some Middle Eastern food before heading back to Colorado. So my boyfriend and I called in an order for carry out. When we got home we realized that the order was incorrect. So my boyfriend called back and explained that we had ordered the Shish Kabob entree, not the Shish Kabob sandwich. He was very calm and polite on the phone. He was told to come back and they would correct the order. However, before he could even make it to the door, the restaurant called back and insisted that there was no mistake. After trying to explain the issue several times, Evan just gave up and told them nevermind. I I had ordered the Vegetarian Platter (hummus, baba ghanouge, falafel, and veggie grape leaves). The hummus and baba ghanouge were the WORST i have ever had. We had to throw it away. Both of them tasted rotten. Also, an hour later the restaurant called back (no idea why) and I refused to answer. I had enough. I will never go back, nor would I recommend this place to any one. I have had much better food just a few hundred feet up Ford Road at The Sheik. read more

A Lebonese friend of mine turned my onto Canton Pita 3-4 months ago. I have been there for carry-outs 5-6 times since and have really had some quality Midde Eastern fare. The prices are very fare and loved the hommus. Had had 3-4 different entrees and enjoyed all of them. The owners are very nice and and personable. If you love Middle Eastern food but have not tried their breakfast here you are missing something. I've been to a handful of Mediterranean restaurants, but I still think this one is the best. A couple of my co-workers that frequent this place agree. I've gotten the fattoush, falafel sandwich, falafel, and garlic. The fattoush here is definitely the best fattoush I've ever had. It's a lot of salad for a good price too. The sandwiches are such a good price for how big they are. Of course the garlic paste is addicting. There are several booths inside or you can call and get carry out. After reading the reviews and trying just about every middle eastern restaurant within the Belleville and Canton area, we decided on Canton Pita. Went during lunch hours which by the way was a great savings compared to the pricing of other middle eastern flare within the neighborhood. We ordered the lunch special which consisted of grilled chicken, rice, and a salad. There was the option to have the chicken in a sandwich or as a plate meal. We opted for the sandwich style along with the additional sides all for 7.99$. We also ordered and additional Chicken Shawarma sandwich. The sandwiches were really good however I prefer mine with extra sauce and tomatoe in addition to pickle and meat. The fattoush salad was really good. It offered the fried pita chips, fresh flavor, and enough dressing to satisfy my taste. The rice was well it was rice. The restaurant is clean. The staff was friendly and offered their opinion on my choices for lunch. Only downside was like I mentioned earlier the sandwiches could use a little more flavor. Probably my favorite restaurant in Canton! The service was fantastic and really had a "mom and pop" feel! We ordered a combo plate for 3 adults to split and had lots of leftovers. $16.99 fed all of us for that meal and lunch the next day!! The pita was served warm and there were multiple types of breads served with the hummus. This really is one of the best Mediterranean places I've ever been to! I ordered the whole boneless chicken dinner and when I arrived home I discovered I received what appeared to be cuts of very tough white meat. I think it was breast meat sliced as cutlets - whatever it was it was overly cooked and tough to eat. When I picked up my food it was after 9pm Friday evening... I was the only patron there. It didn't appear they were busy so I don't understand how the order was filled wrong. I won't order from there again. The salad was plentiful but not very tasty. The garlic spread was very good. Well my first time since the new owners took over pretty disappointed we ordered a large Fattoush salad with grilled chicken it had hardly no lettuce all chips and cucs also the chicken had no flavor at all and did not seem like a large. This place is amazing. I really can't say enough about it. The service is fast and friendly. Orders are always correct. The value is unbelievable; the portions are very generous. These are things not found in Canton. The food is outstanding. You cannot go wrong with the chicken shawarma sandwich. Always fresh and tender; very tasty. If you expand on the menu you will find many excellent dishes. Falafel is delicious and fresh. Tabouli is great. The gallaba is great. The salads are large, and the fattoush is unbelievable. Don't forget to try the hommous, it's superb. The location in an average strip mall does not do this place justice. It's a great place to order fast, fresh, and tasty food. This is my go-to place for Arabic in the area for a quick dinner on my way home. The staff here is always very nice and they know me now (casually make jokes when I change my usual order lol) Hands down for Arabic the best prices and the most food for your money in this area. I've tried most of the places in Canton but none of them blow me away enough to warrant spending twice the money for the same amount of food. Love their combo dinners, great price and gives me a little bit of everything when I can't decide what I want. My boyfriend is Lebanese so he knows his food and this place is the closest in authenticity to Dearborn. I actually had Canton Pita cater his 30th birthday party which is how I found this place. Their Kabob, Tawook, Falafel, and Kibbee are the best. I'd agree with other reviewers that their chicken shawarma is on the dry side; definitely not their best dish. Hummus and fattoush are fantastic though. Stear away from the 'go-to' 'safe' shawarma option and you'll be good going here read more

In Canton, MI for the evening and searched up middle eastern restaurants. We came across Canton Pita. This is a small restaurant and so worth going to. Placed a carryout order. Wait was around 10 mins. Food was very cheap! We ordered the chicken shawarma sandwiches and they were delicious! If we're ever in town here again we will definitely return. The restaurant is on the small side, still ok for dine-in, but better for carry out. The owner and staff are very friendly. The prices are ridiculously reasonable, especially since the food is so high quality and the portions are huge! Now the best part... The food! It is always fresh and well prepared, I have tried everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed. It is hard to resist picking up a falafel or shish kabob sandwich everytime I drive by! Ok, after reading all the reviews, I went and bought three chicken shawarma sandwiches, one meat shawarma, and a medium fattosh salad. The salad was pretty good, could have used a little less oil. The meat shawarma sandwich was better than any other meat sandwich from other restaurants that I've tried, but still not my favorite. my favorite was the chicken. I love chicken shawarma sandwiches and they have a really good one. The best chicken Shawarma sandwiches I've had would be from La Shish and Beirut restaurant.
