I went there right after my morning class and I got there right at the time when they were supposed to be opened but they didn't show up til about 35 minutes later. I probably should have made an appointment but whatever. walked in, an older lady greeted me and signaled this other girl to do my eyebrows for me. The only reason I even walked into this place was to meet up with a friend. I live right across the street and I didn't even know the place was there! I wasn't going to get anything done at first, but it was only $8 for an eyebrow threading so I figured I'd get them done while I was there. I was seated right away. I told Annie that I wanted my eyebrows a little thinner. She was pretty good and she did a wonderful job. It could have been a little cleaner, there were some thinner baby hairs she missed but I didn't have my glasses, so I couldn't tell at the time. I really like this place. I have never had a bad experience and I see a new lady almost every time. My brows are finally starting to get some good shape to them. It can get really busy on the weekends, especially near a holiday, so be prepared to wait during those peak hours. I like that they are open on Sunday evening. read more

I LOVE Pooja's work and she is the one I trust my face to. Brows are really important since they frame your face....which is why I'm totally kicking myself for not being more patient! I went in without an appointment during my lunch break but Pooja was booked for the next 40 mins. I got a little impatient and decided to give one of the other girls a try. BIG MISTAKE! I specifically told the girl to just clean up and to keep my brows as thick as possible since I already have really nice "perfect brows" thanks to Pooja's previous work on me. To my horror she made them way TOO THIN and TOTALLY MISHAPEN (three arches instead of one!)! The ironic thing was that the girl's name translates to "wait." I should've waited!!! I drive from Laguna Beach to get my eyebrows done by Pooja. I can't compare Perfect Brows to other threading services as this is the only threading place I've been. For years, I paid over $50 to get my eyebrows waxed and tweezed by an eyebrow "expert". When my expert raised her prices, I had to begin looking elsewhere. I began asking questions of women who had eyebrows that I particularly liked and had most of them tell me they get their eyebrows threaded. I researched, learned that despite the strange name, "threading" does not involve a needle, found great reviews on Perfect Brows and consider myself lucky to have found Pooja so easily. The first time i went to this place my eye brows came out completely flawless and this is my second time coming here today June 29 and they completely messed up my eyebrows i literally have no more eyebrows and one is thicker than the other ones iam very frustrated and mad cause idk how to fix them. I know mistakes happen but this is completely unacceptable it going to take 2 to 3 months to fix my eye brows and it only too 5 min to ruin them. Idk if i want to come here next time but if I come back to do my eyebrows i expect a better job cause its my money iam spending and regardless if this would of happen to one of them they will be mad too. I've been going to this threading place for about a year and a half, usually between uc school breaks, so every 3-6 months or so. Went yesterday and they saw me in 5 min, and were done in less than 10. I don't think I have been seen by this particular threader before, but she was amazing. I hadn't gotten my brows threaded in at least three months so they were pretty wild and she gave me the best brow shape, not too thin & very even, with a good arch. The price and location are great, and the studio is nice and clean. However, I went there on a weekday and there were two ladies working. One told me she was "new" and she was the one who ended up doing the eyebrow threading. I've had my eyebrows threaded before and it was painless, but this time it HURT. I had tears in my eyes most of the time that she was working on my brows, and it took a really long time. They were still stinging about an hour later when I got home from running errands, and when I looked in the mirror I noticed that I had small bloody cuts, about 5 or 6, on each eyelid and brow! I think it's where she got my skin caught in the thread. I had very shiny eyelids the next day because I kept medicine on them, and now I have little scabs all over my eyelids and eyebrows. More than one person has asked me "oh my gosh, what happened??" I don't think I will be going back anytime soon, at least not until they have had some more practice with eyebrow threading. If you go, be sure to request someone who does have experience. read more

Well that was disappointing. Gave 2 stars- 1 for getting me in without appointment and 1 for being cheap... Although could argue the reason for the above is explained by my results. My normal "brow" person is on maternity leave so I decided to try this local place. First- I have NO idea the name of the girl who did my eyebrows- she never introduced herself. She was the last chair on the right... That's all I can tell you. Second- she didn't ask how I like my brows. She just went to town without even attempting pleasantries... And left me with two thick STRAIGHT caterpillars above my eyes!! WTF?!? When has that EVER been an attractive shape? I asked her to arch it from below (yes- I clarified from below because at this point I had lost confidence in her knowledge and skills). They are now uneven... Now I'm off to try and fix what is left at home and pray maternity leave won't be too long for my regular brow person! Will NOT be back! read more

So I came here for my first Brazilian. I was extremely nervous. I had an appointment but I still had to wait a little, which I didn't mind. So finally I get called into the little room and it was awkward but the lady was nice and helped me feel comfortable, i don't remember her name but she did tell me that she was only at that location for the day but she actually works at the long beach location. Anyways she was nice and started and yes it was very painful. She started on the front and after a little while she told me to turn over so I thought the front was finished which made me relieved because I was in alot of pain. But when she finished the back she told me to turn back so I asked why and she said that I needed more but she was giving my skin a break because it is sensitive and now she's going to finish. So I appreciated how experienced she was at noticing that. And when she was finishing it definitely didn't hurt too bad anymore. My only negative comment is that she wouldn't let me know when she was going to rip off the wax strips so I had no warning. That's why I didn't put 5 stars. But all in all she knew what she was doing and I was glad. read more

So i have gotten my eyebrows done now for a while because if i dont i look like a monkey! I usually go to the asian places where there all yapping away and i wonder if there all taking about me, and where in the end i come out eather looking supprised or like my face is lopsided because my eyebrows r not the same on both sides!!! (kid you not) So i went to perfect brows and WOOOOOOWWW they did a wonderful job and for 6 bucks how can you go wrong i love them and i will NEVER go to another place again! They definitely know how to thread eyebrows. 5 stars! Deducted 1 star for the unsanitary robe/wrap and hairband I was given during my facial. I've gotten facials done at other salons and always given a clean fresh robe...my daughter got a facial after me and asked if she was given the same one...yes! Ewwww...I know my daughter is clean but can't say the same for other clients. There are health concerns like lice and scabies that should be considered...no bueno :( Owner if you reading this please make changes. I would love to come back for another facial (Annie was fabulous!!!). Also, a little side note. I came here another time and noticed that there was some drama going on with 2 of the employees and who I believe were to be the owners (man and women). They were discussing with each of the girls right in front of the store...literally in front of the door. My advice pull them aside perhaps 10-15 feet away or have chat in back of store. Not good for customers. But for the most part great place to get your eyebrows done. read more

I came here ONCE with a girlfriend. The place I normally go was booked so I decided to try here based on reviews. I got a bikini and legs and set my friend up for her 1st time getting her legs done. In short - it was awful. The lady was nice n all but I had horrible ingrowns for more than a month after this place - a couple is normal - not this. Worse the wax was too hot by the time she got to my friend and burned her - pretty little scar (bout size of a nickel) on her leg now. No way she will try again.
