I just moved to the area and I'm usually a big review fan and trust them. Since being here and trying a lot of places with rave reviews I've actually noticed that I don't feel the same as most people about a lot of stuff in this town. So I went out on a limb, and I tried this place since it was the closest to my house and I could not be more happy. Julia was so sweet and so gentle and did exactly what I asked her to do and my nails look phenomenal! I'm coming from Las Vegas with a nail girl that I had for five years, so I am loyal when I find someone like.... And to say I'm picky is an understatement. Came in for a fill. They shaved off my color and cut my nails then started working on someone else so I couldn't leave at that point. Took forever. Charged me $45 for a FILL. This establishment is in a convenient location. For that reason alone I visited several times. There is only 1 gentlemen their that does quality work I can't remember his name but he wears a jade rectangle Buddha necklace. Christina is very rude, she rushes everyone and makes it seem like an inconvenience that you are a paying customer and want to get your nails done. She can afford to take some lessons from her mother and learn to be a bit more graceful. The quality of service is poor I believe because the technicians are being rushed by Christina. Every single time that I risked getting my eyebrows done they come out looking like distant cousins (horrific). Again ... because everything and everyone is rushed. I usually get my nails done in Alpharetta but due to it being Christmas time my normal salon was too busy and I wasn't up for the drive. Boy should I have taken that drive !!!!! Quality of nails are horrible!!!! I would have dealt with it but the attitudes on top of that had me boiling!! Please stay away from this dump. I have been going to My Nails & Spa for almost three years. In the last year, I started looking for other places because it is terrible now. They are constantly being rushed (except Justin, he is always awesome) and the quality of work is absolutely horrible. About a year ago, I got a basic pedicure and full set, nothing special about them, and was charged the same I was for a full set and the best pedicure they have! $137! LET ME START BY SAYING THIS IS 1 STAR BECAUSE YELP DOES NOT ALLOW 0 STARS!!!!!!! Got my nails here and they were HORRIBLE. Which was very sad because I got them done for a wedding. I asked for SNS dip. I got dip powder but the guy did them like acrylic. There was no dipping involved, just a huge glob of product plopped on to each nail. I tried to stop him from doing it that way, but he insisted and he was not polite about it. I was VERY CLEAR that I wanted "active length, thin nails". What I got was long and so thick that the other ladies in my family laughed at me and they became the joke of the rest of my visit. One person felt so sorry for me she wanted to take me to her salon to have them fixed, but there was no time. I believe the guy screwed me over on purpose because I did not want my nails done like he wanted to do them. He tried to convince me that his specialty was Ombre Nails! They were so professional and asked me through the process of my nails if the shape looked good and did they satisfy me. I have been going here for awhile.. they have a point system an when you come there a certain amount of times you get 20% off. I came in with the 20% off an an the bosses daughter told me she can not horror the discount. She did not give me a reason why. The next time I came in I got a pedicure an a fill in the girl that did my pedicure did not finish the pedicure. She rushed on it so she can go home early. I am also very picky about my color matching , I picked out the color for my hands and toes. When I was done with my services I noticed that the colors where not matching. Immediately I told them that the colors didn't match an the owners daughter told me it will be $20 to redo it. Today I came in an the bosses daughter said that I can not get my nails done because I did not TIP the girl from last time. Also the owner did my moms nails , 2 of my sister in laws nails and my cousins nails. They all got gel polish an the gel came off the next day. I have also got a foot infection from coming here. I moved and its been 6 months since I've been here.... the guy that did my pedicure was an older gentleman. I paid for the $37 luxury which was the one with the warm towels and a longer massage. The entire time the employees were talking so loud something about getting crab and that kept taking away from my relaxation... then 5 minutes into my massage the guy started staring at the lady 2 chairs down and rubbing the same stupid spot on my leg.... then it was time for the hot towels.... he put them on my leg which seemed to be a struggle for him the problem was he then walked away and left me sitting there so long that the hot towels were now freezing..... so then another lady comes over to paint and what is the FIRST thing she says to me.... "WHEN IS YOUR BABY DUE? " now I'm 5'3 170# and have lost 25# since May so seriously.... I'm not pregnant lady!!!!! I've been here once before for a pedicure, but the service has drastically gotten worse the last time I went there. The service is the slowest that I've ever experienced at a nail salon, not to mention the lack of courteousness. They seat you & leave your feet soaking in cold water. When they finally make their way to you (30 minutes later if you're lucky), they don't apologize for the long wait, nor ask if you would like the water temperature adjusted. The nail tech who did my pedicure appeared to be annoyed the entire time while working on me. I won't be back. I would recommend Holly Nails over this establishment. read more
