I randomly wanted to get a haircut and found Kendall on Instagram- thankfully she has an appointment same day! First off the salon is BEAUTIFUL. Kendall fits the asthenic perfectly. She was so kind and really took her time listening to what I wanted. I usually trim my own hair and it had come to the point where my hair was giving broom stick. Since the moment I left the Salon I can't stop touching my hair. She has absolutely given my hair the bounce and life that it needed. For other services I've always had a great experience here, but when it comes to hair it was very disappointing. I don't usually leave reviews, and I ESPECIALLY don't name drop, but I feel like others should know about my experience. I'm 17 and saved up for years to finally dye my hair blonde for the first time. I booked with Brittany and was really excited and clear about what I wanted, I even showed multiple reference photos and explained that I wanted a full blonde dye, something simple and natural for my first time. Instead, I ended up with highlights or a balayage. Not at all what I asked for. The stylist told me to "trust her" and that it would look pretty, but didn't follow what I asked for at all. When I told her I wasn't happy with how it turned out, she gave mixed explanations, first saying it was "part of the process," then claiming she did follow the pictures and accused me of being dishonest which felt really unfair, especially since I was nervous to even say I didn't like it. She also casually mentioned she'd just come back from a birthday weekend of drinking and partying, and said she wouldn't normally come in but did anyway "for her clients." That honestly made me feel even worse about the lack of effort that went into my appointment. When I reached out to management, nothing was done to fix it. They just told me to rebook with the same stylist and pay again even though I made it clear I wasn't comfortable doing that. I left this experience disappointed, hurt, and with hair I didn't want after years of saving and looking forward to this moment. I just want others to be aware before booking here. Edit: I wanted to add that I was born with WHITE blonde hair, as a toddler I was always bright blonde, and once it went brunette it was always the type to look blonde in the sun. I requested someone with excellent short hair skills. I was booked with Lauren, Master Hairstylist. I was very clear what I wanted and did not want. I have experience with this salon so I wasn't too concerned. She seemed very confident in herself and had an intern shadowing her. She used the thinning shears, but I trusted her experience. She then dried my hair, didn't offer to style it and I just went with that and paid. $70 plus 20% tip. I realized after the first wash, how horrible the haircut was it actually looked like a kindergarten or did it. I was completely shocked. I couldn't do anything with it so I just clipped it up and wore a baseball cap weeks. When it came time next appointment with her, I canceled it within four days of the appointment. Its been a few months since I had my hair done and I'm just to the point of sharing my story. My job requires my face to be on on camera. I relocated from up north with a healthy had of hair with a nice money piece framing my face. I researched salons for weeks and chose this one because of the ratings and review. I went in with recently cut and highlighted hair to show the stylist exactly what to maintain. I also had pictures. I have no idea what happened, but by the time my cut and color was done, all my highlights were gone and my hair was much much darker. I expressed concern with my stylist, who was also baffled as to what happened with the color. She attempted to remove the color from my money piece on that same visit, which I am sure caused damage and strain to my hair. I was there for a total of 6 hours. I was treated well and fed mimosas. I went back to have my hair color fixed and my entire money piece framing my face was broken off, to where I couldn't even grab hair with my fingers. Yes, I paid upwards of almost $300 for this ordeal. 3 months later, I am sharing the photos of what my money piece (bangs, whatever you want to call them) look like now. I still wear a hoodie most days because the hair is so short and damaged, it sticks straight out. Photos available upon request. Why did they charge me for this? Why did I not refuse to pay (I had 4 mimosas, that is why). Why would the stylist attempt to remove color from my money (no mater how semi perm it was) by tugging on it over and over? (again, I had mimosas, my own fault or I would have said stop). Its just hair, I know. But it is still quite upsetting. It will take a LONG time for my hair to grow out as I continue to cut off the damaged pieces that remain. I don't know what's worse. That this happened at a post salon with an experienced stylist, or that I paid for this service and crappy outcome. I won't name the stylist publicly. She was nice and I am sure felt bad. My wife literally just left this place. I bought her a gift certificate for around $300 which she wanted to finally use today. She called and made her appointment for manicure, pedicure and a 90 minute deep massage. So when she showed up today they did not even have her on the appointment book for a manicure or pedicure. They said they might can squeeze her in and they finally did. They barely cut her toenails and put on two coats of nail polish but did not have the matching polish for her finger nail. So she had to end up with two different colors. She goes to get her deep massage and it lasted about 60 minutes instead of the 90 minutes she requested and when she let the lady know it was supposed to be 90 minutes her response was well I just don't have time for you to do that today. Do not waste your money or your time at this establishment. It is supposed to be a day to go and relax and get pampered which is what I was really hoping my wife would get because she deserves it but instead it was nothing but grief and stress trying to get what I had already paid for. She asked to speak to the manager but was told the manager was not there. I am about to put this on Google reviews as well because this is absolutely uncalled for and really really irritates me because I was trying to make sure that my wife had a wonderful day but this place has absolutely ruined it. I booked a massage for my wife and this was her story: The aesthetics of the spa are great and the types of massages are great but I booked a 60 minute massage with an added lavender foot scrub that should have lasted an additional 15 minutes. 57 minutes into the massage, the massage ended. My wife said it felt rushed and ended abruptly (my wife said it was probably because I booked a 4 o'clock appointment and they were closing down). That's bad business practice. If you don't want massages to go that late, don't book appointments that late. read more

I booked through Bridgett what was supposed to be professional hair & makeup for a photoshoot. First Kaylee did my hair. I showed her a pic of a down-do with soft, flowy curls and told her specifically it was an outdoor shoot. She said no problem. She made it look like some 70's hairdo with a Farrah Fawcett feathered look and I kept having to get her to curl it correctly. She started the curls really low and my hair looked flat. She tried to say they don't curl higher due to the worry of burning someone. Are you not in the professional hair business and not know how to not burn someone? She struggled to curl my hair and kept spraying hairspray. I told her I don't want my hair sticky because the pics are outdoors. She kept assuring me it wouldn't be. She finished and I had a head of sticky, stringy half curls. She said she was going to stay until the end of my appointment to comb them out and do any final needed touchups. Then onto makeup. I let Emma know it was for family photos so I wanted neutral colors on eyes and definitely contour my nose and cheeks. She said no problem. Again I kept having to get her to fix things because my face was splotchy, bronzer looked bad, she had bright pink blush going from my hairline all the way to my mouth, she put blackish eyeshadow along with a white glittery one (ummm no), she didn't do any contour saying she doesn't do that (then why did you tell me at the beginning that it was no problem), no lipstick, and when it came to mascara, she handed me it with a disposable wand (so I thought), so I dipped it and did the first eye, went to hand it to her for a new one and she said to use the same one. DISGUSTING! So she has people putting it on there eyes and dipping the same brush which then contaminates the bottle. That's an eye infection waiting to happen! I had started to ask questions about her training just to find out she is 'self-taught'. So the salon is advertising her as a 'professional' when indeed she is not. It explained a lot. She finished by applying the false lashes and glued my eyes together and had to pry them open. She had cut the lash too short so it looked funky with no eyeliner to fix it. Then I kept telling her it felt like it was lifting off. She said I just need to get used to the feeling and that it was glued down. Well wouldn't you know that it came off in the car after I left. As for my hair, Kaylee left before the end of my appointment without fixing it or doing a 'touch up'. I told Emma how unhappy I was and she did nothing to help me. I had since called the salon and left a message along with two emails regarding my complaint and still no response. Completely unprofessional in so many ways! read more

I'm not a spa person. I don't like new age music. Or white towels. Or getting poked and prodded by a stranger. Which is why Practically Perfect Day Spa and Lisa, the owner, are amazing. Lisa is personable and super professional, so she made me feel comfortable from the start. And since she immediately made me feel at home, it's now easy for me to go in and actually pretend to be a "spa person" for an hour or so every once in awhile. (The old skin isn't getting any younger, sadly.) Since it's located just 5 blocks from my house, I've been to Practically Perfect about 10 times now for various services. (I bought their pack of 6 microderm abrasions and I get some - let's just say - uncomfortable waxing done here. Yes it hurts, but Lisa makes it as painless as possible!) Every time I've been welcomed like family and had a positive experience. I highly recommend this spa to anyone who needs any spa-type-thing done to them. read more

The worst salon I have ever been too in my life time. I paid Kara 100$ for my hair to be done. I had got in the chair and was expecting some nice highlights and got legit bleach all over, my hair was so damaged and ruined I had to cut all of it off. I had left with a hair mask on my hair because it was so damaged. The girls were wondering why she did this. My hair has still been damaged since.! I shaved it all off 6 months ago and now am almost finally where I left off when this salon killed my hair. I would NOT advise to go here as they ignored all my emails and calls and didn't even offer a refund as completely ruining my hair was not enough. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I have never been more sad in my life after having no hair and still having damage because of this horrid place! --- Also no, I was getting highlights WITH my red hair still in and your very own stylists were asking her what she was doing and why . Also walked out of there with chemical burns on my scalp from the crazy mess she did. Nothing that happened to me should ever happen in any salon!!!! Ever!! The owner will make excuses and so forth but didn't even offer a email or anything I emailed every email i found possible on the site and called and was told you weren't in and nobody ever called me back. The owner says research well obviously her employee can delete messages as she told me she can't do anything about my chemical burns and hair falling out and it was all her fault. Point blank I should've been refunded! I WILL NEVER step foot into this salon or any poorly managed like it. read more

I happened to see a recommendation for Callie on a neighborhood website. I loved the hair color picture of her work...so I called for an appointment. Please note, I haven't had my hair colored or cut by anyone (but me) in quite awhile because I haven't had a lot of luck with stylists listening to me. As a result, my hair was sort of a blah color without any definition in the color. After seeing Callie, I was not only pleasantly surprised, I loved her work!!! She listened to me, she made recommendations (a lot of stylists won't; they just keep asking what do you want, or your hair won't do that because of...etc). When I said I wanted to keep the length....she listened and did a very, very light trim! I showed her pictures and she said, "Sure, we can do that!" And she did. Very sweet, very young, but very, very knowledgeable and meticulous, and she took her time to make sure everything was just right. I cannot say enough good things about her (and I promise I am not related and I never met her before this ;-) I've uploaded a picture of the result because I am just so happy with the cut and color! read more

Well, I would love to say that I had an amazing time but so far it's been 3 weeks and my appt's are either moved or not on the books. I booked a wax and when I showed up on Saturday 2 weeks ago...no appt even though I made it at the same time as my lash appt. Now after booking my lash appt 3 weeks in advance to make sure I could work my schedule around it, they call to reschedule to a different day because someone has booked a spa party and there isn't a room available for my appt. I book for Thursday at 9am and the confirmation comes in as 1:00. The lash tech calls and says can't do that as she has school at that time....... I had three services performed. A manicure, pedicure nail and a waxing service with Madi. I cannot remember the name of the nail tech,I don't see her picture on their site but she was young with brown hair. First about Madi. I have had waxing done several times at various salons but I have never had problems afterward like I did after my procedure here. First of all, it was uneven, everything was very asymmetrical and looked terrible. The way it was done was very unprofessional, compared to every other salon I've been to. The procedure itself hurt and afterwards I was very inflamed. She did it too quickly and tore my skin. The nail tech was much worse. I felt as though I was having my nails done by a little girl. The way she painted my nails was pathetic. Not professional at all. The polish was all over my cuticles and the polish on 2 nails lifted before the first day was out! You could tell she just didn't have a clue. I do a MUCH better job of painting my own nails but I was told their polish lasts longer than regular polish so I tried this place but it was terrible and it was far from practically perfect.
