Michelle is a miracle worker. For some reason I got the uncontrollable urge to "trim" my own hair and guess what it didn't turn out great. I called Halo salon to see if they had any openings. The receptionist was great and got me in right away. Michelle turned my do it yourself cut into an amazing cut with great layers and movement. I had her cut off more than I normally prefer due to the circumstances and before she even took scissors to my hair she showed me where my hair falls and how much I was asking her to cut. I am overly happy with how it turned out and can't wait her to cut my hair under "normal" conditions. read more

I have been visiting Halo Salon for the last few years, and I'm very happy with my service. Marzi routinely does my hair and does a terrific job. I have very long blonde hair that I trust her to cut and color. She is very patient, thorough, and does a wonderful job. Cut a. At other salons, I have had difficulty finding someone who could create an ashy blonde color, as my hair can pull out brassy undertones. If I could give it less than one star I would. I had never been to Halo before but was interested in the salon because I see it when I go to whole foods. I walked in and was introduced to Mabel. The first thing I thought was oh my god this 80-year-old woman is going to cut my hair. But I thought I would give her a chance. I told her that I loved my long hair and that I only wanted a half inch off the back. I also told her I wanted exactly the way that it was which was rounded. Then I told her I just wanted to get The front just trimmed up. She was more interested in what was going on in the salon then she was me. At one point she left me ran around the salon and came back. I knew something was wrong when one of the stylist passed by me in the back and her eyes got wide open. At that point I just wanted to jump out of the chair and run. Then she proceeded to cut my front and as soon as she made that fatal cut I squirmed in my seat. I could not wait to get out of there. When I got home and looked at the back of my hair I realize she had cut off 4 inches! Probably the reason she did not turn my chair around so that I could see the back like all hairstylist do! Will never go back! She needs to retire! read more

Got my hair done one month ago with Sunny. I asked for balayage and left with stripes in my hair. I wanted blonde and I got orange. The cut was exactly what I wanted but everything else was a disaster. I paid $170 for something I'm having to get redone. Be forewarned - I'm not a picky person... it's just that bad! The lack of reviews should be a red flag. A good/popular place would have more reviews. read more

So I specifically made a yelp account just to tell everyone how AWFUL this place is. I went in for a haircut with the OWNER of this "fine establishment". I asked her for layers all around and a trim, I showed her where to start the layers so they wouldn't start too high up and give me permanent bed head, because i have really thin, and fine hair and layers help with the volume. So I get my haircut i think everything's fine... THEN after I leave my friend tells me there's something wrong with my hair... she goes on to take a picture and shows me what she was talking about and this lady had only done layers on the TOP part of my head and literally quit halfway down, and I'm not talking like oh there's a few layers here and there, no no, there was a blank sheet of same length hair from where my head and neck meet to the bottom of my hair. Now I know what you're thinking.. "Why didn't you ask to see your hair when she was done?" well when she had shown me at the salon after she was done it looked fine because it was all tousled so I couldn't really tell that the layers weren't complete. So I called back that afternoon and asked if someone else in the salon could please fix my hair because the haircut wasn't even close to complete. The person told me sure that I could come in in two days because they were fully booked until then... yea thanks, only two days with a horrible haircut no biggie... so whatever I made the appointment with someone else in the salon to fix it, I go in for my appointment and the owner (who originally cut my hair) comes up to me (because she was literally waiting at the front for me to come in) and she says to me (please read the following statement with all the attitude imaginable because she spoke to me like she was scolding a child that had stuck their hand in the cookie jar...) "let me tell you something, you cannot just call in and ask someone else to fix a haircut because that's as if you were getting two separate haircuts and only paying for one." i was literally dumbstruck that the OWNER of this place would a) give me such an attitude when she didn't do her job correctly, and b) that she was literally not allowing someone else in her own salon to fix the mess SHE had made. So I had no choice but to allow this... person... to fix the atrocity she had done because I wasn't about to give her salon anymore money and I really needed my hair fixed... I was not even remotely happy with my haircut in the end because she just took scissors to it and left it a choppy mess... I will NEVER go to this place again and I hope that others will also not go here because although I am not a full on supporter of "the customer is always right" I think that if you give someone bad service you should do your best to make that customer happy and hopefully put them in a place where they might come back... that was definitely not the case here... so I leave you with this and hope I've sufficiently forewarned you of what you are likely to encounter at the salon. read more

I went to Halo salon after having disaster highlights done to my hair at a salon in Buford GA that I will not mention names. I was devastated and broke from being ripped off after this traumatic experience. After envying a friend's beautiful highlights I was referred to Halo, Michelle and her team. Not only did they fix my color flop but did the most beautiful highlights I've had to date while not compromising on the integrity of my hair. Better yet they made me feel right at home. Good, experienced stylists, Marzi always gives my thin hair a good layered cut to help it look more voluminous. Easy to get an appointment and really friendly staff. Only 4 stars because the interior is a little dated, but I don't care because I get what I want; good service, value, and a great style. read more

I have been having my hair cut by the ladies at Halo Salon (and a previous location) for almost 25 years. I can tell you, all I get are compliments. People are amazed when I tell them that I have my hair colored, they say it looks SO NATURAL! I have had long cuts, shorter cuts, shaggy cuts, but always modern cuts and loved them all. Okay, enough about me - they are warm, friendly people who will greet you when you come in and send you out with a smile. I have no complaints.
