Cut to years later, a couple of my friends were raving to me about their nail lady Theresa who happened to run this salon.. Yesterday, I could not drive all the way to Buckhead to get my nails done, I decided to give TNails another chance.. The older tech who did my pedi was sweet and courteous. The mani one; a young girl.. I noticed she was applying way too much nail polish on the nails that she cut way short.. globs of polish.. as I moved my hand, one nail touched my other hand while switching hands for her. She gave me this look fit for a 5-year-old who was seriously misbehaving. I said, "sorry".. again, she glares at me, and proceeds to try to fix it without just redoing it.. I asked to redo it. She kept telling me,"you needed it up".. In the midst of this, I notice my pinky had a little nick, which I pointed out. She FLIPPED! I asked her not to do my nails and to just stop. She kept mouthing off, walked off, got herself a tangerine and proceeded to peel it and eat it at the work station right across from me. The older lady that did my pedi, came over and kept apologizing for her and insisted on doing my nails. There were two other patrons at salon, they were both horrified at what just went down. Too much for some pampering and "me-timing".. I did not get the advertised 10% discount on all services.. I did not get to unwind. Paid in full and I did tip 20% and left aggravated!!! The massage and pedicure were amazing, and I was very happy with the quality of the work. I chose short, coffin-shaped French tip nails, and I loved how they turned out. Before starting, I was informed that the extra nail on my big toe would be an additional $10, which I understood and agreed to. However, when it came time to pay, my bill was about $50 higher than expected. I was then told there was an extra $10 charge for the coffin shape, even though I had been told beforehand there was no additional charge for that. I was also charged $10 for length, despite my nails being short, and another $10 for the French tip, even though the package I selected already included French tips. When I questioned the charges, it seemed there was some confusion among the staff. Instead of correcting what appeared to be an error, the charges were explained in a way that still didn't fully account for the total. I left feeling unclear about where the additional costs came from. Unfortunately, that experience lost me as a customer. It was disappointing because I had just moved to the area and was hoping this would become my regular nail salon. Paying $120 for basic short French tip nails, with so many unexpected extra charges, did not feel transparent or professional. Out of respect for their business, I didn't make a scene in the store and still left a tip. The ambiance was nice and they offered a wide variety of polishes. We both needed manicures. While we waited, we were offered complimentary beverages by the owner, I believe. This was a nice touch! Anita serviced my husband. She arrived first. She gave him an armrest, along with warm water to soak his nails. My nail technician was Mia. Her quality of service was not the same. I did not receive an armrest nor a greeting, and my water was cold. She wasn't the friendliest either. I could tell the level of attention and detail that Anita provided for my husband was totally different from what I was receiving. However, my husband wished the buff on his nails was a bit brighter. It was dull and didn't really show a major difference. We also did not get a chance to select our manicure preference, as we were told the nail technicians would provide this information to us. Since it was a Friday and we were walk-ins, we plan to try them again on a different day and make reservations to see if the service will be better.

Sometimes the lamp gets hot so I notice that she takes breaks so that my finger isn't on fire, which is really attentive. Vibe of the salon is very modern, clean, peaceful. Heads up that they get really busy on the weekends. I would suggest making an appointment or walk in before lunch time. Plenty of free parking in the back. Overall, really great value for the types of services they offer. So happy to have a new spot like this open in Woodstock!

A technician started on me right away. I needed my old SNS removed, and wanted new SNS. I do wish there were a larger selection of SNS colors, particularly more light shades, but nonetheless I found a color I was really pleased with. The technician took her time removing my old SNS. They use the individual foil wrap method versus the dunking your entire hand in acetone method; I was pleased with that. The nail tech took her time on all aspects of the SNS application and gave me a fabulous manicure as well. The hand/arm massage was amazing. The atmosphere is really nice. I was offered a beverage upon sitting down. I asked for water, but they do have wine should you feel so inclined. They have chandeliers which give it a fancy ambiance, and there are a good number of spa pedicure chairs. Probably the most I've seen in a salon. My technician took 2 mins to takeoff my old polish, clip and file my toenails (not how I asked and completely uneven). He was done with everything in 20 mins. After poorly painting my toenails he put on a topcoat and decided he missed a few sports with the color and painted the color on those spots on top of the topcoat. I brought my 9 yo with me who got a much better kids pedicure than mine was. there were also women who were in chairs when I got there who were still getting pedicures 30 mins after I was done. I was debating on doing my nails today as well, glad I didn't, because I won't be coming back ever again. This is my second not great experience here in a row.
