This place is a scam, they use the promotion of 2 for $79.99 to get people in the door. You get the and they have a wall of 500 glasses for women and they have a color coded table that range from $79 to $229 but have no Real name brands. Out of the 500 there were literally only 6 pairs to choose from that were $79. If this is what you promote you should have more to choose from. Once people are there you know they aren't going to leave. Then I asked how much to just put my prescription in my old frames and she told me over $230!!!! I initially came in bc my appointment was misscheduled with another office and I found out a week before . This was the only place in network with availability for the day I had already scheduled off work. When scheduling my appointment, the process was easy and everything went well . Upon arrival I wasn't really greeted or addressed ; I can say I was running late and they pushed my appt back 15 minutes without hesitation. However; There was a man in a checkered suit-- thoroughly cussing about bank deposits- fairly loudly-- which was unprofessional; from the time that I walked in to the time he walked to the back to check the lunch receipts for the missing $40 on the deposits , to the time he walked out the door -- I know this bc he LOUDLY bagged the staff about it. Eventually I was greeted ; and did my forms and things on their tablet . I had to ask for the insurance paperwork they didn't ask me or hand me the paperwork initially. . The front office /fitting tech is whom took care of my paperwork so I was confused to why I wasn't initially handed the insurance paperwork (assuming he normally handles paperwork) The nurse tech who did my prescreen exam was the most professional and friendly person in the office . She was friendly and sort of tried to divert attention away from the shenanigans that was initially going on. She was very helpful and understanding . My doctor who did my actual exam and contact fitting was not in office ; he was virtual which bothered me bc it wasn't announced or mentioned until I stepped into an exam room. My nurse put the machine to my eyes and stepped out but my doctor was on a screen and controlled the lense changing options from his end. His voice was hard to understand through the speaker ; I felt as thought I was straining to hear instruction from him -- not that it wasn't loud ; it was slightly muffled and reception made it hard to work out what he was saying. At one point he also seemed impatient as I asked to see previous slides to make sure I had the best line of sight in my prescription Unfortunately I used my insurance allowance on this visit-- but I'll most likely go to vision works or America's best and get a free eye exam and purchase glasses or buy glasses for a set price and pay out of pocket . I wish I would've just waited and went to my normal eye doctor . But I was trying to make the most of my insurance allowance before the end of the year. It wasn't worth it . Even after all that I still paid over 100 + out of pocket ( I have good insurance this place was just not the best) I still ended up ordering my contacts myself from a 3rd party to make sure I was receiving the best option possible to make the most out of my contact allowance with my prescription . Because the staff In this place could care less about the customer . This was My first time receiving a contact fitting - I wasn't offered any tips, help, solution options , or proper eye care for contacts . I was very skeptical about this place. The reviews aren't all that great. Despite this I came in with an open mind. I did come in for the 59.95 deal, however it was explain to me I'd still have to purchase the frames and lenses. They did give me the option to buy the glasses with the free eye exam or to just pay for the exam itself. They were very nice, very professional. Overall not a very good experience. - walked in for the promo : 2 pairs of glasses and a free eye exam for $59.99 & they literally had a dozen glasses to choose from - ranging from bright Iran age with zebra stripes to gold dollar store frames. I was already extremely disappointed in options, but I was willing to suck it up for the discounted price..... only to later find out that there was still an additional charge to have the prescription put into the fresh frames... - finished the eye exam and was then told that I couldn't use the promo because my vision was too bad && if I wanted to walk out the door with just my prescription it would be $100. I ended up buying two pairs at regular price, walking or having spent $250. - meanwhile, the entire time I was there I had to deal with extremely rude staff.... - I was told my glasses would be rushed and to expect them in 4 days.... I ended up picking them up two weeks later. The worst part was that the store never even called me... so who knows how long they were actually sitting there or how long they would have been sitting if I didn't call. - only one pair was done, and I again had to call to find out my second pair was available. - when I finally got my second pair they were made with one side upside-down so I had to wait for an associate to replaced my frames. My new frames still weren't correct and when I pointed this out an associate got an attitude with me and told me basically oh well they can't do anything about it- even though this new issue wasn't present in my original frames- so I knew that this was not the way they should look... They dropped the ball in my order and couldn't get the story right, at first it was UPS the lost the shipment and then when I talked to their corporate number they said it was a quality control problem, is going on a month and I'm still waiting on glasses, what's worse is the My eyelab corporate does not take responsibility over their franchise so you are really only dealing with the local corner store. And to top it all off my contacts didn't get order till two weeks after I was there. Management call me once and I haven't heard from them again after leaving a voice message even though I reached out to them multiple times. Very disappointed. I scheduled an eye examination and was told it was comprehensive. It was not. Furthermore, I couldn't believe that I was not informed of a VIRTUAL DOCTOR, very impersonal. I could not understand him and he semed impatient when asked to repeat himself. When the examination was complete I felt like I was hung up on, very abrupt no questions asked, no statements made. I will make sure that 'My eye lab' remains a topic to my friends, family, acquaintances and anyone I come into contact with for a very long time. I have never been to any eye doctor for myself cause I've been told my entire life I have great eyes.. even those I went to with concerns of headaches,migraines,nausea and pain when reading and focusing same answer. The young ladies at the counter not only sanitized the equipment but were very kind,gentle and caring that it made any insecurity I've ever had for times like this disappear. Though it was a wait... i didn't even notice. I didn't mind spending my time to wait on such amazing care. After my eye was checked I was seated to wait on the doctor. I didn't feel like I was being rushed or anything.. it was amazing. Next I went to see the doctor and he was on the screen. Honestly I didn't expect much result because I've heard the same over and over but decided to give it a try. The doctor was attentive,kind,patient and sweet. I didn't think a doctor on a screen would help but it was like he was there in person. Once he flip through a few lenses.. I COULD SEE. I was so overwhelmed and thought only people would find joy in vision are those neglected from it from birth..... but no.. First, I didn't even have an appointment for this place. I walked in and didn't realize I was at the wrong location, which was my fault. However, they still took me in as if I was in the system. Every time I come back to pick up my eye glasses or contact lenses there's an issue. They seem to be forgetful because I had to remind them about ordering my eye contacts. They didn't fit properly the first time. I was also left in the eye exam room 6 minutes after the exam was over. I finally walked out and realized they forgot I was in there. UPDATE: I'm going to continue to add on to this review until something is done because it's ridiculous at this point. They'll send a text and email telling me my contacts are ready for pickup. I drive and waste my gas for them to tell me that they are NOT ready for pickup. This has happened twice. read more

I visited this facility on 8/2018. I went it trying to get the special of a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for 59.00. The eye exam was virtual, there's no real doctor on site. Once I got out I was informed by Tamika (according to my receipt employee #102417), that I didn't qualify for the special. Because I had no experience with glasses I didn't understand why and sort of went with the flow. I was sold extras for my lenses that I did not request. I would have not agreed to get scratch resistant or UV block, or whatever because my prescription is REALLY low. I go days without using my glasses. Anyways I ended up paying almost 300.00 for 2 pairs (one that didn't fit properly) but one pair I loved. This was by using the BOGO special she told me to take. It was still a better deal than going to Walmart where I paid 300.00 for one pair. Later on after I really understood what I was sold I realized she added on lots of extras - that I didn't request. So I figured they must work on commission. It wasn't the worst experience, and I only had previous experience from Walmart to compare to. Soo fast forward to 6/2019... I called and asked about specials for my 11 year old child. I was told I could get 2 pairs for 59.00 for single vision. I was sure he would be single vision because we were referred to seek glasses by his pedestrian who has been monitoring his vision. I scheduled an appointment and made sure to verify it would be the free eye exam plus 2 pairs of glasses for 59.00 total. They said yes, as long as it was single vision. I got to my appointment last Wednesday and the same woman that I dealt with in August was there. She asked how she could help. I told her I had an appointment for the free eye exam with 2 pairs for 59.00. She said my child did not qualify for that special. I asked why and told her i had verified it with the 1800 number that he would qualify. She said he wouldn't because he's a kid. Then she asked how old he was, I told her. She said his glasses STARTED at 167.00 for 2 pairs because he was a kid and needed "special" lens. I was not about to be forced to buy anything again, not after my previous experience, so I left. How does she know her would need "special" lens without ever even looking into his eyes? They should not hire people that are so desperate for comission that they force sales on people, like this lady they have up front. They shouldn't lie about what product is only "allowed" for kids. I called the 1800 number and was informed that this location is a franchise and they have the right to change their mind/price however they'd like. Sooooo, fast forward to today and I ended up at Americas Best. (It's like 3-4 min from this location!) I paid 149.00 for 2 pairs. That included two 69.00 dollar pairs of glasses, one year complete warranty on both glasses, eye exam (WITH A REAL DOCTOR!), and an additional eye exam I chose to get. Everything was offered I bought what I wanted. Kids get free lens with glasses until age 13! If I would have gotten the special (one exam, 2 glasses)it would have been under 105.00 with tax and everything. But because the associate I worked with wasn't comission money hungry,like the lady at my eye lab, I was offered add ons, not forced to buy them! PS: My child did have single vision. Moral of the story: DO NOT waste time at my eye lab. They force sales on you and don't even use a real doctor. Go to America's Best 3-4 min down the road for half the price but 10 times better customer service! read more

I've worn glasses my entire life but I wanted to try contacts. I went ahead & did both eye exams.. When I was being taught how to put on the contacts they were getting frustrated.. yet they are being paid $50 for contact fitting.. they made me look up on my phone on youtube a video of instructions... what the heck.... you can tell they work based off commission because I wasn't given any directions of aftercare or anything. **I wish that I read the reviews beforehand. I looked online before 2019 and saw that My Eyelab was in network. I did not think to recheck online on my Vision Plan provider list. I did call a total of 5 times before my appointment on March 1, 2019. I was told by the customer service rep that they do take my insurance. I verified with him as he was trying to rush me off of the phone. I called again as I had to reschedule my appointment from February to March 1st. Once there after a long day of work and truck issues, I went into the office. My son and I were one of the last customers. We did the exam with a virtual doctor and proceeded to pick out our frames. I was then told that my insurance would be treated as a discount. I would not get the same prices. My son needed his glasses as soon as possible for school. So I was desperate and proceeded with the purchase. I did explain to the Manager how many times that I called and what I was told. She had no care in the world and directed me to another My Eyelab in Duluth or somewhere far up north. Mind you at this point it is close to 7PM and they are about to close. I tell the manager that this is unacceptable and does not make any sense. She did not care and got an attitude with me. Now at this time, I am upset as she does not care that I came out of my way to this location because I was told that my insurance was accepted here. She tells me that, that has changed for 2019. A total nasty attitude, take my business elsewhere. Then she leaves. I am now there now with two employees. A young Oriental man and African American woman. They were the sweetest or else I would have taken my business elsewhere but as I said earlier that I was desperate. The total for the night was close to $1500.00 with my "discount", using that word loosely $900.00. I have NEVER spent this much for just 2 pair of glasses and one set of contacts. Fast forward to yesterday, July 9, 2019. My son broke his "under warranty" $49.00 frames. I go in for another frame and I had to pay out of my pocket $9.00. My Eyelab is a bunch of crooks and do not live up to what they advertise. I do not want to put anybody in the unemployment line maybe the manager but this store does not need to be in business. Of all the places I could have chosen to go, I wish I had not picked this place. They had to do two eye exams because they overlook and don't ask the questions they need to ask. They tried to force me into monthly contacts, but I've been wearing dailies for years. They called after two weeks and told me my prescription glasses were ready for pick up. When I arrived to get them i couldn't see through them at all. They ordered the wrong prescription. The girl helping me said that she would put in a rush order and to expect them in a week. A goes and comes with no glasses. I start calling get hung up on multiple times, transferred to a call center, they are rude,and cut me off anytime I try to say something. They swear my glasses are showing to arrive Saturday the 15th. It is now Sunday, they are closed all day today, and still no glasses. The lack of customer service is crazy. With their mess up you would think I would be some sort of priority to keep in touch about what is happening with my order, but nope nothing. I spent close to $600 and I can't get even a courtesy call about my order status, or an apology for their mistake. I do not recommend this place. This is the worst place to go for glasses or contacts. To start off they dont explain anything in full to you as far as prices and you call them you are constantly being transferred. Customer service really sucks. Called to check on my order and had problems getting the right person on the line. Then called back to cancel because i found cheaper prices for contacts i was told that they were already made and the was no sending them back. I asked if they could just mail them to me the lady says that she has alot of people in front of her and to call back later. After paying for my glasses and be told my my sales lady that she "wasn't going to charge us for shipping but make sure they were shipped to the address". She set me up by telling me to open my new contacts to try even though they FORGOT to order the trail pair. Jean said if I don't like them she will happily let me return the opened pack. Well today she said because i opened them theirs nothing she could do! I reminded her what she said! She yelled at me and called the cops! The cops did nothing! They ordered the new lenses b4 I left while the cops quitely waited on me because nothing was going on she lied to get them there. I wasn't impressed with this place. I went in for the 2 for 59 deal, and the first thing they do when you walk in is take you to the back to do the exam. You have to pay for the exam before you even fill out your paperwork or get the exam. You get the exam fee taken off the glasses when you buy them. The problem is, that's where the bait and switch happens. They have virtually no selection of 2 for 59 frames, like there were like 5 women's frames, but the selection in general is cheap looking and feeling. Then they heaped on a million add ons and presented me with a price of over $300. My prescription is almost nothing, but they upgraded me on everything. Then they tried to give me discounts to take it down to only $200. I had to say multiple times that I only wanted the basic, and then all smiles were gone. All the negative reviews are accurate. Do not believe the low cost glasses and expect poor customer service once you pay the initial tab. I have worn glasses for years and have seen the all the small print scams and this place is no exception and may possibly be the worst so far. On first purchase back in January it would have cost me in the range of $500+ for the $59 deal for 2 pair. I had my own prescription from a local reputable optometrist so I didn't need their exam. I needed glasses urgently and decided to go with a single pair. With what insurance covered and getting a cheaper pair of frames I got out just under $200. After a longer than usual delivery, my glasses came in. The viewpoint center was off a bit but I didn't have the weeks to have the correction adjusted. Since I could only assume nothing is local and the expected work is done over seas, I just learned to hold my head in a little different position for reading. Jump ahead to today: My glasses broke still under warranty, I visited the store only to be told I would need to pay $160 since they would have to replace the frame and lenses? What??? The nose bridge broke and the lenses were perfect, I only needed new frames. I questioned the salespersons option for validity who then went to the back to question management only to come back with the same response. At this point I knew I had lost my money for these glasses and they had lost my future business and anyone who may question my experience. I then asked for the prescription they made the glasses by. The salesperson printed this out and off I went without looking it over. While reviewing the prescription at a different business, I noticed they had given me a different persons information. This not only was a big breach in personal information confidentiality (illegal), it could have been really bad if I didn't notice this and had a new set of glasses made from it. I contacted my optometrist for the proper prescription. Now the kicker! The sales person at the business I was getting the new glasses had called Eyelab to inform them of their confidentiality breach. After this call the Eyelab manager (assumedly the one who was questioned by the sales person earlier above) and asked about my experience. I told her my issue and she said just bring her the glasses and they would just change the frame. Since I was already mad enough to spit nails I opted to decline another visit. Life is too short to deal with incompetence and shady practices but as long as I have a voice I will try to help others. read more

They bring you in the door and collect $45.00 for the Eye Exam and tell you that money paid up front will go toward your purchase of two pair of glasses for 59.95. There is NOT a Georgia licensed optometrist on site!!! Instead they conduct an Eye Exam on a TelePrompTer with a person that is supposed to be an optometrist. BUYER beware!! Once I arrived I was sent to the waiting area. A lady called me up to the desk to sign in. She then proceeds to ask me if anyone went over pricing and how it works --- I said no. She said well, "You're gonna pay $45 back here and when you're done with your eye exam, you'll pay the remaining $15 for the 2 for $59". I was just like okayyy. It was voiced that the $45 you pay in the back waiting area goes towards the frames you'll pick out once you're done seeing the "eye doctor". I was brought into an exam room where I thought I'd meet the doctor! Only the doctor wasn't there in person. She was connected via satellite to conduct my eye exam. It was the most confusing and overwhelming eye exam I've ever experienced. The doctor would ask normal questions like 1 or 2, but I kept getting confused because she already had a slideshow of letters up before switching to 1 or 2. My eyes were already recording what was on the screen, but then she'll flip to two more. Very confusing to say the least. After that exam I was brought out to pick out my frames. I was looking at all frames until an employee came over and asked if I was taking advantage of their 2--$59. I said yes. She then directs me to that area. Oh how disappointed I was at the selections. My grandmother wouldn't even rock the only "7" pair glasses they had for the special. I then felt ripped off. I expressed my concerns. I was told that because my vision is so bad that I didn't qualify for their $59 special. They tried to work out a deal with me telling me to find 2 pair that had a $29 tag. "Talk about a needle in a haystack". I couldn't find any. Was then told to find two with $48 tag and they'll charge $73 for everything. When I got to the register to checkout they asked for $73, I said where is my $45 I already paid to go towards my frames. The lady told me it was for my eye exam even tho their advertisement quotes "free eye exam". Then on top of that your lenses cost an extra $99 that they don't disclose to you either. I asked for my Rx and walked out. I was in tears in my car. I decided to walk back in and talk to a manager/owner. After he listened to my concerns/frustrations, he did rectify the situation where I was able to get my glasses for the quoted price. I appreciated that. My advice is to check the display of frames if you're doing the special 2---$59 before you do anything. Ask questions before as well. Maybe request not to have your card run twice. I think it's a setup taking $45 in the back and paying the rest at the front. I decided to go here because it presumed to be affordable. I will stick to America's Best as I have been with them for the last 10 years. This is my honest opinion. The 1 star is because of false advertising imo, very small and UGLY selection of frames for their advertised special, as well as feeling misled twice with what I was initially told. read more

Do not go here!!!! I was given an appointment for contact lenses, but when I arrived they told me the obstetrician wasn't in and they only do exams for contacts Monday-Friday. This was a waste of time and gas!! read more
