The doctor advised he is near sighted and has astigmatism recommended we return in 6 months. Ordered 3 pairs of glasses and spent about $2500.00. I cannot see out of the pair I need the most. The optician later stated that a mistake had been made with the lenses. He said he would reorder and place a rush on it. Four weeks later and I am still waiting. They have ignored my requests for a refund and will not return my calls. Made an appointment and the day of my appointment the receptionist told me my wife called and canceled the appointment and there was no doctor to see me. My wife didn't know I had an appointment for that day and the time the receptionist said the call came in was the time I actually called to make the appointment. She called me a liar and told me to take my business elsewhere when I asked for the manager. She said the doctor is the manager and it wouldn't matter because she would tell me the same thing. We wonder why black business operates with such indignation for their own people and when we take our business to other companies they complain about us not supporting them. i went to elevated Eyecare and they told me $180 for a glasses with blue light no priscription cool paid it! Got a call the day after saying the glasses is $705 cause insurance won't cover them i said okay refund me. The guy that works there said he's gonna refund me to my account i asked the account i made the purchase from? he said yes! one week pass no refund so i called he's gonna let me know they refunded my money but to an account with the office for future services! I asked for a manager all of a sudden the manager is busy and can't go to the phone so i pulled up at the office she was very available to talk! still no refund but she's waiting until Tuesday until the bigger boss get there whole time the policy is marked out black on her screen and she made me know it was a miscommunication on their part still no refund! I wish I could give this company no stars. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The doctor is nice but the staff is ruining her. They owe me over $700.00 dollars since July and are either incompetent on how to issue a credit or they are trying to keep my money on glasses I don't have. I cancelled my order and they charged me a $150 restocking fee but as of September haven't reimbursed me for the difference. I don't want to believe this doctor is condoning this but she should know who's running her office. I have emailed her numerous times and she has acknowledged the credit owed to me but her staff hasn't or won't issue the credit. Just beware of this office when or if you go. Ask to see the charges before you pay. It's a shame that you can't trust people anymore or that customer service and integrity have become extinct. read more

Their front desk personals are a joke! None of them know what they are doing. I've been there several times and non of them know how to correctly charge me when using insurance. Isn't that receptionist 101? I will not be back. Being overcharged and having to jump through hoops to get a refund is not worth it especially when there are eye doctors everywhere. I chose to go here at the referral of a previous patient. However my experience has been awful. The staff at the practice is RUDE and speaks to you as if you're beneath them, especially Simone. I have returned twice and still have the wrong prescription in my glasses and WILL not be returning. This practice brings your glasses to you in your car to see if they are correct because of COVID protocols. And if you try to come inside their building without a mask they refuse to see you and kick you outside per policy which is not disclosed upon making an appointment nor is it posted at the door. Their door is locked and you're made to feel un welcomed from the beginning. my first visit i had my hesitation as there was nobody else there, then when I got my glasses and couldn't see out of them I knew this place was not worth the reviews written. read more

I want to say i really enjoyed my visit and the staff were super kind my issue came after the fact i went to order glasses and when i got them the prescription was wrong on my left eye by a lot and the place i got those glasses said i needed to get my prescription fixed because they must have just written it down wrong i got back to elevated and they won't re-examine my left eye and told me it was the manufacturer fault saying my new glasses accidentally had prism on them even though when he used the machine to check my new and old glasses nethir has prism and when i tried to explain the left side it the issue because the prescription they put down is a lot weaker then i needed he refused to answer me and only kept repeating it's a prism issue We eventually had to call again and the eye doctor finnaly decided to speak to us and she finnaly realized they had put in the wrong numbers in the computer it was just ridiculous that it was so hard for them to listen to the issue and actually correcting it because we didn't order the glasses from them. Edit: they decided not to change my prescription claiming i needed a weaker prescription and what they gave me was right i went somewhere else and they gave me the right prescription They need to do better here they refused to really help me out or give me another eye exam even though I requested it multiple times and blamed everyone but themselves first and last time I'm going here read more

I'd love to be able to provide a review, however I made use of East Lake Eyecare's online appointment scheduling tool and received a confirmation email for said appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told by the receptionists that I did not have an appointment in their system. I was offered an appointment during the week or another appointment one week out as this did not work with my schedule, their next Saturday appointment was five weeks from now. Needless to say, I will not be a patient of this practice. If a tool is offered online to make appointments, the business establishment should make sure that it works. If that cannot be executed correctly, it does not bode well for the rest of the services the establishment offers, especially for a healthcare provider. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The employees aren't trained properly and the owner (The optometrist Dr. Santrell Hart-Moreland) is rude and also unprofessional and she obviously needs to go back to school to become an Ophthalmologist and take up business management because she knows nothing about running a business or customer service and also gave my son the wrong prescription for his eyes. After going to another business we found he had the wrong prescription the entire time. The employee that helped us with picking out frames for my son apparently didn't look at my son nor fit him for glasses before he sold his father teenage sized glasses for our son. After the glasses came in I went back to exchange the glasses and I was told by Dr. Santrell Hart-Moreland I would have to buy our son new glasses and new lenses to go with them. After explaining to her the ball was dropped on their end because they are the professionals and they should have fitted our son for frames that fit before allowing us to purchase them. She said because the company already paid to have the lenses created for those frames she would not be able to exchange them. I even offered to pay for new lenses if she would exchange the frames, although it wasn't our fault they sold us frames that were too large. She finally said, "I will see what I can do based upon the frames you chose, but I'm not saying I will exchange them." All the while her tone and body language are full of attitude. We decided to not even get glasses from her and got the money returned back on our credit card from the credit card company. We weren't asking for a refund we were only asking for the problem to be rectified seeing as though they messed up but they couldn't even do that.
