This location was convenient and I went here to obtain a Driver's license and car registration after moving back to New Mexico from out of state. I made an appointment online and still waited 15 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. There were walk-ins being helped before me even though I came early and checked in. The lady with long dark hair, hispanic, and wore glasses helped me. She gave me a lot of resistance when I applied to get my True ID and was very strict that my out of state license had a shortened version of my name. Granted I don't think anyone uses their hyphenated name! She used multiple excuses not to issue me one and forced me to get a regular ID. I paid for it. This process took 2 hours as she made me drive home to bring in more documentation to prove my identity. I had to come back to wait again in line to be helped. I stayed patient and respectful throughout our interactions because I just wanted to get these things done. After that, I needed to get my title from my lienholder which cost 40 dollars more, and also had to pay for a 30 day temporary registration. She told me due to the pandemic, it will take them up to 1-2 months before they will receive the request and will call me when it arrives. It has been 3 months! I did not receive any calls and went in to check why I have not been called. They refused to issue a refund blaming my lienholder that they never sent the MVD Express the release! Can you believe that? The day I was there, I had them fax and email a copy to this office. The lady even confirmed it was sent properly and she still refused to register my car! I don't know why she would accuse me of not being the person on ALL of my paperwork. It was absolute discrimination on her part. Management wouldn't do anything and even denied their responsibility for it! I have receipts for everything and even showed them. They didn't care the woman who helped me that day went into the lunchroom to hide and never came out. This place is terribly overpriced, they take the same time to accomplish anything like a regular MVD, and they are unprofessional! On top of that is the prejudice and discrimination on MLK day ironically. Learn some cultural sensitivity. This is not immigration where names have to exactly match on every single document. I gave you many to prove my identity and they had no right to treat me with such bias. I will never recommend this place to anyone. There was only one lady there who was decent and listened. Thank you to her and the rest of your staff is incompetent. This was my 3rd trip to this place too and still didn't get my registration after all this! read more

What a great MVD experience! MVD Express is just that, no long lines, nice smiling faces and quick service. I went in last night to renew my driver's license, in at 5:45pm and out by 6pm?! The customer service was excellent and the process was quick. MVD Express offers all the services of the MVD and notary. It's a little extra $ but definitely affordable and totally worth the hassle free experience. Make sure you check out all the requirements for the Real ID process ( two proofs of residency and two proofs of residency/ NM state mandated) by calling or checking it out on their website so you are prepared. I had a terrible experience today at MVD Eubank NE Albuq. I was in a jolly mood when I arrived, as I had been told that these folks would be helpful. HOWEVER, when I approached the entrance desk, I was met with a very brusk and unwelcoming "what are you here for?!" I told the employee what I had come to do. She promptly told be I could not do it if I did not have the right paperwork. (Obvious, no? Why not just politely ask if I have everything they need? Why the "nay-saying" vibe? Bad day for her I guess.) Anyway, next I showed her the paperwork. She said "Nope. We cant do that. You don't have (xyz)" I said "OK, then how do I get what I need? She was extremely rude the entire time, and continued to reply to every question I had with a fighting, bully-like vibe, and I felt terrible. Eventually I just said "Listen, I am obviously upsetting you which I did NOT mean to do - I am just trying to get some information for how to proceed." SHE SPEWED BACK AT ME "YES YOU ARE, MAAM, YOU HAVE BEEN AT ME SINCE YOU ARRIVED!" It was utterly terrible. I have never been treated like this by any service person in my life. (and I come from the old school view that even if a customer IS being a jerk - which I was not - it is never ok to treat that customer badly. I finally asked if there was someone else there who might know the answers to my Q's. She said she would make me an appointment with one of the people who worked there. I waited and was eventually called for the appointment. I asked the person there the question, but that person stared blankly at me. He eventually said "I don't have that information." I asked if there was someone else who might... he looked around and said "everyone else here is newer than me, so no." I asked if he could find the answer - he suggested I speak to his manager. I said ok, great, thank you... but guess who his manager was?? THE BULLY LADY!! I said it was she who sent me to HIM... he said again "I don't have the information." and stared blankly at me. No move to try to help. Bully was then sitting right beside him and spoke to him about me in third person as if I was not there. I hate to say that my good friend (who hates the MVD) was right when she said that MVD workers are not the brightest tacks in the box, but if they are all like these two, then yeah, I guess she is correct. Maybe they were both having bad days. Maybe that woman's wife left her. Maybe the young man was hung over and brain was off today. I don't know but UGH. Anyway, It was the worst motor vehicle department employee experience I have ever had in my entire life. They were rude and evasive and just plan not very bright. There were about ten other details of horror that took place at this location during my time there, but I will not take the time to type them out; suffice it to say, this place is terrible. (Luckily, I did get my questions answered elsewhere.) Final verdict: RUDE, MEAN, MORE THAN UNHELPFUL, OR MAYBE JUST UNFIT FOR THEIR JOBS. DO NOT GO THERE. On the bright side, the zoned out kid who could not answer my question ran out to my car as I was leaving to give me some paperwork I had left inside when I left in frustration. Yesterday 6/6/2017 we were in dire need of a Driver's license replacement and were under time constriction due to another appt. which required the Driver's license for employment. The staff was incredible especially a young lady named Yvonne. She went 10 extra miles in order to help us. So there isn't an Mvd Express at this address. It's actually up the street a few blocks at 4531 Eubank. Maybe it moved, like 10 years ago cause as long as I've lived around here, it hasn't been at the location listed on yelp. Anyway, I'm going to review the Eubank MVD anyway... It is great. I never have to wait long, all of the employees are friendly and competent. They check you in right away and answer your, "am I in the right place, did I bring the right documents" questions right away, instead of making you wait an hour to ask those like they do at the MVD. If you walk in and there are more than 3 people ahead of you, you probably came at the wrong time. I usually go about 2pm and it takes me about 30 mins to get things done at this one. However you will pay about double for any transaction, so if your time is more valuable than your money, skip the lines. Come here. Otherwise pack a lunch, a good book and some hand sanitizer and head down to the good ol incompetent MVD. PS. Not all MVD expresses are created equal. read more

I've been to this location a few times in the past and always had a decent experience. This week, we had to transfer the titles of two cars into my mom's name. Daisy helped us, and she was wonderful. She was professional, friendly, and it was obvious that she sincerely wanted to be of help. She got the job done right and in the amount of time I'd expect for a transfer like this. Man!! You guys are SO lucky to have this! I wish they had these back in California!!! So, in California you typically have to go to the DMV and those appointments can take hours!! Not here! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a SMILE ! They asked for my name and what I needed. I've been to this location before and I was so shocked that I was able to get my registration AND new license plate the SAME DAY!! The man working here even put it on for me!! This is such a great concept and I love the quick and friendly service. On both occasions I've walked in with no appointment and been helped with no issues. Here is a tip: make sure that you get an emissions test prior to getting your registration because they will need it for your registration. I don't know why anyone would go here instead of a real MVD, yes I understand wait times MAY be more but you won't be charged an extra arm and a leg like you do here! I was charged $30 more per item needed!!! I needed to get my truck registered so I was charged an extra $30 for the registration AND charged an extra $30 for her to walk out and compare my VIN numbers... so an extra $60 for them to do their job! I was never told about this, she rang it and up and then I asked why my total was different then my registration. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of money! My husbands went to an actual MVD and his truck (that is 7 years newer than mine) was MUCH cheaper (yes cheaper) due to the extra fees you get charged here! read more

I think this will be my last visit to this location. In the past, they misspelled my husband's name on his license and car register paperwork. Today, after verifying my address and showing my license, they put my wrong street number on my disabled placard paperwork. When I called and told them the mistake they said I could come back to the office or I could call Santa Fe and get it corrected. What did I pay you to do today? Also, they used to have a membership, that we joined, which has been eliminated. So, all and all, I think I'll find another place to spend my money. read more

This company is atrocious and should be banned. I called them from Miami as I was visiting New Mexico and wanted to take an American driving test there. I was assured that would be fine by MVD and they took money from me immediately. I told them I was staying an extra few days in a hotel to do this. To keep it short, I spent hundreds of dollars to stay an extra couple of days, got to the Albuquerque office in freezing weather only to be told they wouldn't give me a test - they couldn't give me a license because I wasn't a resident and I wouldn't have had to do the driving test I'd paid for because I have another license from another country anyhow. I was furious, tried to get in touch with the owner immediately - Joanne Coelcello (or similar), she got back a day later and said tough, I'd get back the money I'd paid for for the driving test but no other compensation. She said the mistakes on the phone must have been 'a matter of semantics' and they have phone records of such calls. Well they didn't get back to me about the proof of what I'd said on those calls, they didn't apologize and they didn't compensate me. Additionally, MVD company doesn't make it clear that it isn't a government agemcy. BBB said it couldn't help. Be warned, this is a very unethical agency. read more

They never sent the paperwork to my Credit Union for my title even though they had me pay for it! I am so upset at the time and money wasted here. Go to their Red Competitor... what MVD Express could not do in 2 months their competitor did in 2 days! Paid for Title Check, Vin Check, a Temporary Plate, and several days of coming in and checking. Spent an hour at the MVD Express at Eubank/Montgomery yesterday with zero success. Needed to renew my driver's license, but when I got to the point of having my picture taken, their system went down. I waited around for nothing, and finally left when it was obvious they were clueless as to what was going on. Although they had my name and phone number, they did not call me when the system was back up. The saga continued today. After confirming that the cameras were now functioning and making an appointment this morning, arrived to find out they were NOT working (once again they did not call me to let me know so I wasted yet another trip there), and they directed me to their Menaul/Morris location where they assured me the cameras WERE working...which it turns out was untrue (theirs were being swapped out). Finally gave up on them and went to their competitor MVD NOW where I was promptly waited on. You other Albuquerque folks should know there's a better alternative to the state MVD (where two-hour waits are common) and MVD Express. read more

After going home and coming back with other documentation, I came back and was told to wait for .5 hours. After 1.5 hours I was then called up just to be informed that my information was again not correct. This wasted 3-4 hours of my life that I will never get back. I've been going to MVD Express for over 10 years. Not any more. I'll keep it short - after being explicitly told my wife's foreign driver's license wouldn't be invalidated if we were to take the driving test as well as the written test (which she did both), they ended up invalidating a completely different document - her foreign ID. This isn't something we can replace online or even have someone back in her country get for us. This particular ID is required for her to renew her passport, her foreign driver's license, and more. The staff was friendly and courteous up to that point. The worst part was the unapologetic dismissal of the situation I got. It wasn't until spending 20 minutes on the phone with the manager arguing semantics and local laws that we finally received a heartfelt apology. Beyond that, nothing was offered. I expect this type of thing at the public MVD, not when I'm paying convenience fees for their professionalism and service. read more

This is a private business, not the government, fyi to those who don't know this. A convenience fee of $30+, I couldn't understand where this money was going or how it was convenient to me... I brought my social security card as needed, she wouldn't accept it because it was "laminated"...ummm it was actually issued to me that way, 30yrs old, easy to figure out how old the flimsy old "laminating" is on it...and besides who wouldn't have their social security card protected in some manner even if it was privately done... Every time I went in there was another issue and then another issue and instead of giving me all the information I needed at once I was forced to go in every time. Feel proud fellas. Three stars is killer when you are dealing with anything related to the DMV. For some reason, me and the rest of ABQ decided to go to the DMV. Express in my book is is email, text messaging, and the express lane in the middle of a long road in New Mexico. This is express as in the express lane on a grid locked 5 lane road in LA or as in express mail that still is 5 days away. If it is busy you are still going to wait and pay the extra fee on top of it. I think they should have a policy, pay $25 bucks if you are in an out under 20 minutes. read more
