My Honda GoldWing was due for a service and additional work. Set up an appointment to drop the vehicle off, had the work done and kept in contact even after three months waiting for a replacement windshield. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable with regards to exactly what I needed for my 2008 GoldWing. I normally don't go to the dealership for parts and service but this time I'm glad I did. staff was very friendly even helped unload my motorcycle from the uhaul since it had no breaks on it! But unfortunately I had to go and grab it after 2 MONTHS. and no work was still done to it. they waited one month for a handle bar then still had that extra month to do nothing I guess??? even was told a guy took my bike off the list for no reason and they put it back on just to not be the same spot on top. they will absolutely make every excuse in the book to delay your bike if its not worth dollars to them. very unfortunate I couldn't give a higher rating they were nice people just not good with time management. I don't recommend if you need your bike out quick...but I know they had good workmanship which I was looking forward too. read more

Musselman (We only work on new bikes) Service. My 1985 Honda broke down, called Musselman, they won't take it!!??!!.. They only work on "newer" motorcycles. How "new" is "new"??? Does Honda know their only dealer in Tucson won't work on Honda's??? (Older Hondas). Has motorcycle tech changed so much that they don't recognize what they're looking at? Maybe they think it burns kerosene and has a hand crank starter?? Maybe their techs have just graduated from Pima and haven't the experience of that "old guy"? Maybe all their service manuals before 2015 got lost in the "Great Fire"? A Honda service center that won't work on Hondas ???? Seriously??? ---------- After some consideration I have to allow for parts availability...Can't repair a bike if you can't get the parts....probably an issue for bikes of a "certain age"--just like people. read more

I paid my bill. But when it started it was loader. They told me that it be a bit loader. But louder did not mean that my 250 cbr that just last year hard a good check up. Just needed a filter, tires an a chain. I called them up their like we did not touch the engine. Now mind you an oil chain was done at a shop. Their mechanic test drove the 250 cbr. His words " it sounded smoth when he rode it to the back. Then road it 2 miles for the chain. So he is the last one on it he rode it last. Know my bike is f#@ked. No bike to ride. Oh ya they are trying to say that Ride Now put the filter in wrong. Not likely. So talk to them an noting. They say it's on me. But I feel if the mechanic test drives a car bike anything an something happens to it they are at falt. Ask any company dealership, auto shops. Do not bring you bikes anything to them if you ever want to ride it again. He blew my engine. Owner does not give a f##ck an will blam the customers. read more

He looks out for you as a customer by giving good recommendations but also letting you know when it's unnecessary to do certain fixes, or let's you know a good time in the future to work on those. Interesting... Shopping for a new side x side. Went into Musselman to check out the Talon back last December... So I bought a new Talon in January... Not pushy on the sales... Almost exact opposite of other S x S dealers. Took delivery in mid January. In February bought $500+ on parts and accessories. The parts guys were great and saved me a bunch of money with their suggestions... A real pleasure to deal with folks the know what they are talking about!! Finally, I had my unit in for the initial service yesterday. Made an appointment about two weeks previous. I dropped off the unit at 7:30 and it was done by 10:30AM. The price and free advice was excellent... So, Musselman is my surprise of the year. I found a great place to do business!! Granted, this is only four months or so... But my gut tells me this is a good place! Highly recommended by me. read more

The Kawasaki had a flat tire, had to be towed to get a valve replacement and this shop is close to where we live. No way would we go to Bubbas again. I called and they gave an approximate price quote. We had the bike towed in here and were seen in a reasonable amount of time. The price for once was actually LESS than quoted. How many times do we wish for that and never get it! These guys put less air pressure in the tires than the b/f wanted but have filled them to the psi he wants 2x now since they fixed the valve at no cost. So far, we like this shop:) read more

The salesman was passive aggressive. Not especially helpful or polite. Pushed me out the door as soon as the money was wired and I picked up my vehicle. What really bothered me was that; I bought a brand new vehicle and they had already rode 4 miles on it and left me with a quarter tank of gas. They acted like they were doing me a favor by spending 10 minutes on paperwork and explaining the machine. read more

needed a new tire, was very straight to the point, didn't bullshit, didnt Pressure me into something I didn't want. after the tire replacement they went to test drive it, realized I had a Couple missing bolts, shifter would go into a - sometimes, back peddle was bent, missing bolt on the foot peg, and some bolts were hand Tight. all this stuff they fixed for free and now the bike feels 10x better than it did before. 10/10 would go there again for any service related stuff. read more

If you have a groupon for carting @ Musselman's, do it. The Groupon usually came in $45 or $30/3 times. If you can snatch the $30 promotion, that's a steal. If not, the $45 one isn't too bad either. My friends and I have bought in so many groupons for this place that it is just ridiculous. True, the drive could be short. But compared to everywhere else in the country, it is very cheap for the speed experience and quality bonding with your friends. If you have a party bigger than 7 or 8, the owner may have to divide you into several groups. So you may spend more time on the side watching than actually racing. read more

I am a native to Tucson and have been going down to Musselmans since I was old enough to ride. I remember how this use to be a small but very solid store/shop to work with. The employees were friendly and always willing to work with you. The prices were some of the best in Tucson, even for service. Here it is twenty years since the last time I used them for anything. Had to take my bike in to be serviced since I had it sitting for awhile. Initially I was told if I brought it in then it would sit since they were backed up. I waited a week and took it in. I dropped it off and received the breakdown of what needed to be done that day and authorized the work. Was told parts needed to be ordered and it would take a couple of days. A week later and the work still had not started, they were waiting on a battery. Two weeks later and the work still had not started, they were waiting on the parts. I wrote a e-mail to the staff complaining and a couple of days later the bike was done. The employees were not mean but they were not friendly. They acted like they were inconvenienced by my presence. They did not communicate effectively, apparently the bike should have had an oil and oil filter change while it was in but that did not happen since it was not mentioned until I was told it was ready for pick up. I never received a response to my e-mail. No apology, no "We will take care of it sir" or nothing. Hell for making me wait two weeks and lying to me about why, they could have at least thrown the oil change in to smooth things over. I spent almost a grand getting my bike worked on and in the end Musselmans just did not make me a returning customer. Their bikes are overpriced, their employees make it clear that they would prefer it if you left them alone and the service department can't take care of material in a timely fashion. Honestly I am surprised they are still going with the way the place is running. I think they have run their course and Tucson would be better served by other shops. read more

I'm going to give the new bike sales department one star. They will not deal at all. I had to go to Scottsdale to purchase my last three motorcycles. There must be a lot of suckers still purchasing bikes from them though. Do yourself a favor and do your research before you buy from Musselman's. You can save yourself thousands of dollars. I will say that I have never had a problem with the service department when I had to take my bikes in for warranty work. Although as I was sitting in their waiting area a couple came in with two bikes for service and the service writer did sell them a lot a service that they really didn't need or was required. I guess if you are an uninformed bike owner you deserve what you get. Finally, I do like the parts deparment a lot. They're easy to work with and seem to know their product line. read more

BEWARE of this vendor if you're thinking about planning a corporate or group event. I organized an event for a company team building event and almost had to cancel it because of the lack of communication by the owner. When he finally got back to me a few days before the event, I specifically asked him if a set number of attendees was required. He said no, and told me we'll take care of it the day of the event. So I gave him a tentative number and put a 50% deposit down on my personal credit card. The day of the event went fairly smooth, but we had less people show than the number I gave when I put the deposit down. Long story short, at the end of the event the owner was no where to be found so we left. I tried calling his cell, but he didn't answer. The next day I get a call from my credit card company regarding a suspicious charge on my account. Low and behold, the owner took it upon himself to run my card for the other 50% even though we had less people show. No phone call to settle up, just ran the card without my authorization. I tried rationalizing with the guy, as did my credit card company, but to no prevail he would not refund me the overage. Luckily my credit card company (Amex) credited my account for the overage. If you decide to plan an event with these guys make sure you get everything in writing and use cash or a check for the deposit. I will say we all had a blast driving the cars, but the way the owner dishonestly handled the money side, unfortunately we'll never give Musselman business again. read more

Wrote another review a few months back on a different site from a poor poor sales experience there. Sadly enough after a few more visits to see if anything improved it has not. Incredibly poor service after the sale and never heard back after 2 more visits to try and get the tool kit and service manual that was suppose to come with the bike. I have had enough of them and could never send anyone there even for a set of spark plugs. All smiles while they are taking the money after that U never hear from them. No stars actually! read more

I ended up selling my motorcycle in order to go travel, and the salesman discouraged me for selling it to him until at a much later time, so I could get a better price. Our relationship started out okay. I received info via email re a Honda, and when we went in to look at them the two staff were friendly enough. They offered a price without the ridiculous add-on charges many places try to soak you with (dealer prep for one.) The price was MSRP plus an additional $400 roughly. However when I presented them, via email, with an Out-The-Door quote that was significantly lower from another dealer, they just shut down. I would have settled for paying more than the other dealer to buy locally, and perhaps an incentive like a discount on accessories would have led me to buy from Musselmans. I have not received one single response from them since. Perhaps they will not negotiate, that is fine if they choose. It would behoove them to show a little more courtesy with potential customers if they want to increase their sales. A simple email stating they would not negotiate would have sufficed. It has been over a week since they quit responding. read more

This shop blew a sale with their nit-picky inspection report. Mind you, good idea to have any used item inspected if possible, but also keep in mind that used items are just that - USED. To expect a 16 year old motorcycle to work as new isn't realistic and in this case, unhelpful. Item by item, tires cracked. Fair, it's Tucson after all. Steering - some play, prob forks. OK, 16 year old and play might be expected, but to then say "prob forks" is a judgement, not an assessment. Did the shop take them apart and check them out? NOT! Throttle action - hangs up. OK, bike hasn't been used for a while, but no mention of whether this is a serious issue or simply inconvenient quirk. Afterword, said "just needs to be driven a bit." Battery - 12.6 volts low test bad. Excuse me, but isn't 12.6 volts OK? Old oil change? Judgement, not fact - fact was oil changed within the last week. Brakes - fluid need flush - fact, done within the last week. Misses at idle - you expect a 16 year old bike to run like out of the factory? Coolant flush needed - fact, done within the last week. Clutch - cable maxed out - finally, some real issue pointed out. When mechanic finished driving it around the block, "nice bike! Runs great!" Where was that on inspection report? My judgement about this shop is SKIP it, no one needs nit-picky. IMHO, the mechanic who inspected this isn't a seasoned veteran who can judge what is necessary from what is fluff. read more

I've lived in Tucson for 45 years, I've purchased several bikes (6) at Musselmans, and thousands of dollars in parts and excessories. First I must say I've worked with Cody in the Parts Department hundereds of times and NEVER a problem, always treated well and received good advice. I recently purchased a bike for my kid from Lumpy, agian no problems, good bike, great price, quick paperwork, no drama. The (poor) rating is focused singularly on the service department. They suck. I brought in a new Moose Rim, newly laced to a XR400R powder coated hub. IT WAS ALREADY LACED, finger tight. All I needed them to do was tighten the spokes/true the wheel. No biggie right? WRONG! First I got a long sob story about how the Moose spokes and rims weren't that good.. Then he tells me its $85 for the "hour" it will take to tighten the spokes.. No biggie, thats fair. Well the mechanic calls me a couple of days later and tells me he broke a spoke while trueing the wheel.. OK, that sucks, but stuff happens. I order a new SET of spokes for $60, since you can only get them in a set. Drop off 2 spokes with them this AM. I figure they don't need the whole set because they only broke one, if they break both of the 2 I droped off, well its time to go somewhere else.. Then he calls me and tells me he needs to un-lace the wheel and will be charging me another $85. I went in and spoke with the shop manager and he wasn't nice, but wasn't rude either.. Very much like a previous rater, I felt like I was an inconvenience to them, NOT a valued customer. After speaking with him it was agreed they would honor the $85 price and I received another warning about the Moose spokes not being very good. I just couldnt believe they wanted to charge me $170, (plus the $60) to true a simple dirt bike wheel .. In the end, it all worked out but I've been treated better at the DMV... I'd look elsewhere for service, BUT I WOULDNT HESITATE TO BUY PARTS or BIKES here. read more

I had an oustanding buying experience with this dealer. After being insulted with an extremely inflated price on a 2012 Honda CBR1000RR from RideNow which was being advertised for 10995.00 but out the door was 14100.00 I called Musselman Honda after getting another out the door estimate on the same motorycle of 12500. While the other dealer was the highest volume Honda dealer in Arizona, Musselman was able to give me an extremely competitive quote over the phone in literally two minutes. There was no "wheeling and dealing" just an honest estimate that was exactly what the final purchase price came out to be. After picking up the motorcycle, the following morning I noticed the front fairing had been damaged and called back to let them know of the discovery, and again their customer friendly attitude floored me. I spoke with one of the salemen (not the one who checked over the motorcycle the day prior mind you) and he calmly told me to bring it in and they would replace it.....no problem. Again I have had nothing but an extremely pleasant experience with this dealership and recommend them to anyone. Keep up the great work!! read more
