It's been a really long time since I been back and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish. I ordered online and I wish it was a little clearer but I watched a chirashi bowl , instead I ended up with salmon only bowl with hotate upgrade and ikiro. I also got a couple of toro nigiri and hama rice dish. The fish was pretty good for the price. It was fresh, firm and taste good. The hama was dry and almost burned so I didn't care much. They didn't use sushi rice and just plain rice. I asked that my chirashi bowl comes with no rice but there was rice They were pretty busy when I was there so it's probably better if you order takeout. It was crowded and feels claustrophobic. Service was ok, they had my food ready earlier than expected and that was nice.
Great spot for a decently priced chirashi bowl! I like that they allow substitutions of different fish. I also enjoy the hot tea that's provided. I asked for spicy mayo the last time I went and it was not like what I'm used to. It tasted kind of gingery? It wasn't bad, just not what I was wanting (literally just kewpie and sriracha!). Service is decent.
I come back every week. The sushi was super fresh and you can really taste the quality, especially in the salmon, it just melts in your mouth. The rolls were simple but done really well. I also liked how straightforward everything was. It's mostly self-serve with the kiosk, which makes ordering quick and easy, but the staff are still around and super helpful if you need anything. The food does take a little time to come out, but it's clearly made fresh so it's worth the wait. The environment is clean, organized, and has a chill, no-frills vibe. It's not super fancy, but it's comfortable and perfect for a casual meal. It can get a bit busy and seating is somewhat limited during peak hours, but that just shows how popular it is. Overall, great spot if you want high-quality sushi without spending a ton. Definitely a place I'd come back to.
Chirashi Bowl: This had a great variety of fish and lots of food. The salmon, scallop, eel, and shrimp were great. However, the tuna, albacore, and yellow tail had a mushy texture. The rice was good. Fresh Salmon Roll (+ Avocado): Great rolls, good portion of food, especially for the price. The food portions were big and filling. You can sit down and then order via QR code, or order via the kiosk. There was complementary tea, which was lovely. The disposable chopsticks were not the greatest quality, but they sufficed. I would probably come back to have their salmon or cooked protein options.
Amazing sushi place to try! I usually get their salmon rolls and they're always fresh and delicious. Their spicy mayo is pretty amazing as well. Definitely the best spicy mayo I've ever had. The service was good. It's self served though their kiosk but if you have any questions, the employee will help you. The sushi took a bit of time to make but it was definitely worth it! The ambiance was nice! It was clean and organized and I liked how they decorated the shop. The seating can be limited during rush hour though.
Great local spot!! I got the chirashi bowl and subbed for all seared salmon which was really yummy. The food was great and the fish was great quality. The rolls were huge! You order on your phone at the table now instead of through a server. The food took a little longer than expected but was great!!
This used to be where I would go to pick up super cheap (and decent quality) sushi about 10 years ago The prices have gone up significantly since then but this place still provides the best value when it comes to dining out for sushi. I chuckle though when I see reviews here saying this place offers "authentic" sushi. No disrespect but this is a typical Korean run Japanese restaurant. I don't mean that as negative because this place is quite good for that type do restaurant. I have been to most of their other locations as well and this Bellevue one used to be a bit different in that they did not accept credit card. Now They do. You can also order delivery using Uber Eats. Prices are a lot higher via delivery though (fyi). Their rolls are good but I recommend getting the chirashi bowl (best value). Their kama is also surprisingly good as well.
My go to for fresh, not-splurging, sushi fix! Usually we have it to go but decided to eat in since they have renovated a while back. Like the self service kiosk as a secondary option to ordering at the counter with friendly staff. Though place is small, it is well designed for different party sizes- from single person counter to joint 2 or 4 tops over bench. Love they always have complimentary hot tea ready to go. Very efficient operation. Had the bento box, always a great value and most importantly tasty. The fatty tuna nigiri was delicious. Tried the grilled spring onions, simple, tasty and refreshing and my favorite of all time- grilled yellowtail collar Hamachi Kama. So satisfying and filling. The citrus soy sauce is perfect with rice.
My first ever chirashi bowl and it was so satisfying! All the seafood paired so nicely together. I don't get sushi often, but when I do, I definitely am a salmon fan. This bowl's salmon was also my favorite, and I was so sad when it was over. Definitely more of a casual eatery- you place your order at the kiosk in the front and seat yourself. There is hot tea at each table and soy sauce. Worth a visit :3
I'm back. For probably the 500th time. Crazy to believe the last review I did for Musashi's was 9 years ago! The service is still stellar. Options are tried and true. There really is nothing more to say. I will be continually supporting this biz and am so happy to see they're doing well. Hands down best bang for buck sushi in Seattle.
Musashi's has some of the finest, freshest fish around and is a top recommendation for sure. This location has better spicy mayo than the Wallingford one. Plus it's in a large plaza so there's ample parking. What makes each chirashi bowl so wonderful is the ability to customize and tailor to preferences. Regardless of how many fish you specify (or get the standard bowl), it's the same amount of protein. Skipping the chirashi feels like a mistake, but honestly you can't go wrong with any item here. Chirashi Bowl with Salmon, Seared Salmon, and Roe - I always get salmon and seared salmon, but usually include other fish. Just to err on the side of caution, I skipped the tuna due to mercury awareness having had poke a few times earlier. However, I think this puts into perspective how custom and beautiful each bowl can be. Salmon is so fatty and thick and the spicy mayo is magical.
One of my all time local favorites! Been dining here for the last decade, and the quality and freshness never disappoints. I usually order the Chirashi bowl and the Musashi roll, which are a couple of the most popular items on the menu. The chirashi bowl comes with a variety of fish, and the quality always taste top notch. The Musashi roll is a california roll topped with spicy tuna and spicy mayo, which makes it so delicious and more filling. Both items have such good portions for the price. The service is quick and efficient. You just order up at the front and sit down at a table, so it's pretty straight forward. I enjoy the cozy ambience but there is very limited seating. I will continue dining here whenever I want to get a chirashi fix in!
What a great surprise behind that unassuming facade! We arrived shortly after 5pm and there was only one other person dining. Order at the counter was quick and the menu was user friendly. The choices were clear even before we got there. Chirashi bowl for $19, that's a no brainer! The dinner nigiri set had a good variety of fish and sweet shrimp. We also got the hamachi kama (yellowtail collar), grilled lightly and it was so juicy, two large pieces came with a plate of rice to complement the juicy and oily fish. Just perfection! Service was quick and they even reminded us that the sushi is one piece per order, although the menu clearly spell it out already. Plenty of parking within the shopping plaza. read more
This is a small sushi restaurant in Factoria, located in the same shopping complex as the QFC and Starbucks. Their entrance faces Factoria Blvd. Parking could be hard to find during peak times. Inside, the restaurant is quaint, with limited number of tables for indoor dining. Order is placed at the counter and they bring the sushi to you. I tried the tempura roll and the California roll. Both tasted decent for the price, but was not spectacular. Overall, I find this place to be a decent fast-casual option for a quick stop if hungry, but nothing special. read more
The restaurant is dimly lit. It is in a plaza so theres plenty of parking. You order up front and get your dish served to you. The food came out pretty fast. I ordered the chirashi bowl. It was mostly good, but the salmon did feel a little slimy and was a cut pretty big. The eel was yummy. They give you a lot of rice. So it is very filling! Would come again, but not dying to come back! read more

I had a great visit at Musashi's. I went for a quick dinner before a movie across the street, and the sushi was very good and very affordable. I split 3 different rolls between two people and that was plenty. I ordered at the counter and the food was brought out quickly as well. I'll be coming back here again next time I'm in Factoria. read more
When we saw how small the inside was, we were hesitant because we have a baby with us and there was no waiting area. One of the servers cared to actually tell us that it would only be a 5-10 minute wait as we were about to walk back to our car. Really liked the system that they have going on here. We paid for our order at the register right away and got seated. The server taking our order was very courteous and our food came out right away. Our server was also very attentive to our needs. Food was great! I loved my order and even thought that the price was affordable considering the great quality of the seafood. Overall, highly recommend this place! Although may or may not be for people who have kiddos who are not able to sit on high chairs. The place is a tad bit small but other than that, I would love to come back! read more
Musashi's is still the best chirashi bowl in Seattle! Similar to their Wallingford location, this one in Factoria serves up huge slices of fresh fish, including salmon, maguro, white tuna, eel, hamachi, along with scallops and shrimp. Also appreciate the sushi rice underneath is warm, I hate it when places have cold dry pellet rice. Unlike the Wallingford location, this one accepts credit cards (yes!). There are only six tables plus four bar seats, so definitely get here early or off-peak to avoid crowds. read more

The food was super good, I really liked the yellowtail nigiri, it tasted fresh and it was all relatively cheap for a sushi spot. They also had complimentary hot tea which I thought was pretty standard but still good. I would say that a Sushi Nigiri plate and one additional standard roll would be enough for one person. The restaurant itself is a small and cozy with a cabin-feeling atmosphere that is very inviting. Is a good place for you to just chill with your friends and eat good sushi. It does seem like a full sit-in restaurant but you technically have to place your order at the counter and then you can sit down and self serve your beverages. The staff were really friendly and helpful, although we really only interacted with them when initially ordering. Highly recommend if you are in the area and are craving sushi on a budget! read more

Came here on a whim for dinner on a Wednesday night and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend and I ordered the chirashi bowl (~$18) and the Musashi roll (~$12) to share. I've been searching for a solid sushi place ever since I moved to the area, and this place hit the spot for me. I've heard great things about the chirashi bowl here but never got to try it until I came to visit. Love the assortment of fish and the quality is nice and fresh with thick cuts of fish on a bed of perfectly seasoned rice. My favorite was the scallop and unagi. The musashi roll seemed a bit basic being a California roll with spicy tuna on top, but it was soo good. I was definitely surprised with how delicious everything was. Despite it being super busy during dinner time, the service was still friendly and great. The environment is cozy, but a bit small. There aren't too many tables in the restaurant, but the waiters did their best to keep up. We were treated well and when asked if they could clean a recently used table, they were happy to help us. If dining in, there is also complimentary tea which is a win in my books! Definitely will be returning and making this place my go-to for any sushi crave! read more
Came around lunch time and was surprised to see there was a table open. Small location holding about 6 tables of 4ppl. Menu includes nigiri in which you can purchase per piece. The hamachi Kama is amazing and typically sells out quickly. They now take credit cards! read more
I have been coming to Mushashi's since pre-Covid, and I feel that the quality has changed a little bit compared to then. Admittedly, I haven't been coming for a while, so I can't speak on the consistency of food. We ordered 4 items, chirashi bowl, unadon, beef sukiyaki, and bento. We liked the chirashi bowl the best, quality and freshness of fish. The beef sukiyaki was more like a beef rice bowl, very different from what we had at other Japanese restaurants. The bento and unadon were ok, nothing surprisingly good. I would come back for Chirashi bowl for sure, but not sure about the rest of the three we ordered. The service was good and quick. read more

Good deal for the Chirashi bowl that I got with thick slices of fish. Fast service since we went when they opened and no complaints, just a satisfied diner! There are limited tables as as I write this there is construction going on nearby in the street so be aware of that. read more

I love Musashi's. No matter how many times I go, I cannot get tired of it. Such a great selection of sushi and small bites, and the prices have managed to stay reasonable over the years! Pretty small restaurant, but whenever I've gone there's never been too long of a wait. It's a great place to come with 1-3 friends and share a bunch of items. Or just by yourself and get a chirashi bowl! I think it's by far the best chirashi bowl around for the price. Even the times I've gotten takeout it's still really good which I don't often feel about sushi. read more

Small little place for some decent pricing sushi. Service was quick and we also got our food quickly. The food was also plentiful for the price - but somehow the quality of the food was just ok even when I adjusted it for the price. Therefore at this point deserving 3 stars. The chirashi bowl of seared salmon had a lot of salmon and thick cut but taste wise it was ok. The salmon collar rice dish was also good price but had a lot of bones. read more
Never disappoints with their portion size! At such a great price, they give you so many thick pieces of sashimi over sushi rice. I get full halfway through. They are quick and fast. Space is a little small but we had seats right away when we got there around 1pm on a Friday. read more

This location in Factoria is a bit on the small side. It doesn't look like much from the outside and we weren't even sure if it was open. It was but the windows looked so dark. It was full on a weeknight though and lots of people were doing takeout. Very busy! Luckily we were able to sit down right away. You do have to order at the counter and pay first. So it's definitely geared toward takeout. As far as the food goes, which was bought out to us, it wasn't bad but not amazing either. They don't have a very extensive menu. Most things are very simple sushi rolls, no special rolls. The fish tasted fresh to me which was good, I had a salmon roll and an eel roll. The eel could have used a bit more sauce I think. Another nice thing about the restaurant was the free tea on the table with cute tea cups. Overall I would recommend this place as good for some takeout but otherwise don't go out of your way. read more
In the area and in the mood for sushi, Musashi's was on deck. Musashi's seems to be about 60% take out and 40% Dine in. Constant people coming in to pick up orders being personal orders or someone doing food delivery. This is alright of course, but this place is pretty small. So more than average foot traffic and door opening gets a bit much. The free hot tea on the table is a very nice touch, but cold water would be too. The service was ok, it seemed to be an all-hands-on deck weekday night as all staff were coming and going for tables and getting take-out orders going. So how was the sushi. Just ok... I went with my usuals - Spicy salmon and Yellow tail rolls. The Spicy Salmon was awesome, actually some of the best I've had, the Yellowtail was some of the worst I've had making for quite an interesting and mediocre sushi outing. The flavor of the yellowtail was eh and didn't look much better. I didn't even finish them which is rare for me not to finish something I usually enjoy, especially if I'm hungry. Even some of the standard salmon and eel rolls were lacking to me particularly in presentation and filling of the actual roll. The best thing about Musashi's though is that it is reasonably priced so there's that. Not the worst sushi experience I've had to be sure but I'd probably skip Musashi's despite it's cool name. read more
What we ordered: Miso Soup, Chirashi Bowls, Unagi Maki, Spicy Tuna Maki & Fried Chicken Finally had time to go to Mushashi's in Kent and omg I miss eating chirashi bowls! Seriously has been so long since I last had a chirashi bowl and it hit the spot. You get a little bit of everything and the maki's are larger than a lot of maki's I've seen! There was limited seating inside, but the decor was nice. Least favorite would have to be the fried chicken. It was just fried and not really seasoned. Definitely will have to lunch here more often! read more

I thought the spicy salmon and onirigi were good value and my partner got the chirashi bowl (which he loves). It's a quaint place in Factoria and is a good spot to get casual sushi. No thrills or anything but you leave full. read more

Musashi's has been on my to try list for quite some time, and I'm always on the look out for some bomb Japanese food! We decided to swing by on a Wednesday around 6pm, had no wait time, and received our food in about 10 minutes. The atmosphere of the restaurant is busy and there were a steady stream of customers coming in and out. Ordering was done through a waiter, and the service was decent and pretty standard when it comes to trying a restaurant of similar quality and cuisine. I got the chirashi bowl and we shared two rolls of sushi which I'll review down below: Fresh Salmon ($5) and Fatty Tuna roll ($5.95) : These rolls were good and the fish was fresh, but they were also pretty textbook in terms of how sushi rolls go. Wished that there was a bit more fish in the rolls as you can notice in the photos, and as you are paying $5 per roll only to get a small amount of sushi that wouldn't get use to filling you up. Chirashi Bowl ($17.95): This bowl is presented quite nicely with how the fish is laid out and how fresh everything looked! The tuna slices were meaty, the salmon slices were luxurious in their taste (they were my favorite), and the overall texture of everything was pleasing and refreshing. There is a thin layer of sushi rice beneath the fish as well. If you are looking to get that fresh sushi fish craving out, this is a good pick. But the downside is, if you are looking to get full, sadly this isn't it - the bowl is a deceptively small from the photos. After finishing this delicious bowl and the rolls I described above, I wasn't even close to getting full and I've pretty much spent almost $30 for something that only gets me quarter full. Overall, I would say Musashi's is a solid 4 stars - good tasting food represented with fresh fish, but definitely more on the pricier side in terms of quantity. There definitely are other sashimi bowl options on the Eastside that are roughly the same price but give you more fish and rice. Everything that you see here adds to up $30 just for one person, and my thoughts are usually if I'm looking to spend this amount of money at a restaurant, I'm looking to get full. read more

This is our favorite sushi place in all of Bellevue! It's excellent quality and you get big pieces of fish for the price you pay. Everyone is always very nice and welcoming. We come once every two to three weeks for a fast delicious dinner :) read more
Musashi's is a great location for affordable and quality sushi. If you're looking to ball on a budget, I'd definitely come here for extremely fresh fish at reasonable prices! Once you're finished with your meal, you directly pay at the cashier. Chirashi Bowl (4/5): Thick cuts of raw fish and they are super generous. You definitely won't find anything close for under twenty bucks. Surprisingly filling as well. Toro Roll (4.25/5): I think this was a seasonal dish and it's delicious! Fatty tuna in perfect bite sized pieces. read more
I've been coming to Musashi's for a couple years now, and it's always great! Located across the street from the Factoria mall, there's always ample parking. The interior is a bit small, with about 6-7 tables. You basically sit down at a table and go to the counter to order (they recently began accepting card!) The Chirashi bowl is definitely the highlight! I get this every time I come and it always hits. You can definitely taste the freshness of the fish, and it's very sizable for the price that you pay for it! There's also complementary tea at each table. read more
Splitting sushi and the bill along with it is kind of annoying with people you don't know. ENTER CHIRASHI BOWL. Good serving size for one person with a lot of variety in it for cheap. Very cool. The outside of this place looks a little janky and I was a bit hesitant to go in but honestly the inside was pretty nice! I really liked the spicy salmon roll, it tasted super fresh and delicious. The california rolls were ok. Not super great but not bad either (it's a cali roll so how bad could it get haha). The shrimp tempura rolls were yummy, with perfectly crispy shrimp tempura, and the musashi sushi was super fun. Lots of different flavors and toppings going on! Overall, the price was pretty good for the amount of sushi we got, and the quality of the sushi was pretty good. The only thing is that service was a bit on the slower side. They told us it would only take 10 minutes but we waited a while longer than that (like 20min). Not a big deal if you are dining in, but since we did takeout, I was hoping to get it when they said I would. read more

Everything was fresh and delicious! Parking can be tough because they share the parking lot with all the other restaurants and shops in the plaza, and the spots are pretty compact. To order, you scan the barcode at your desk, then go up to the front whenever you're ready and pay first. Food comes out pretty quickly but the wait time could increase since they get busy quick! This is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place, so there isn't a lot of room. I don't know if it's because of Covid or what, but it was FREEZING when we came (around September) and I didn't have a jacket with me, so I was shivering throughout the entire dinner. It was our first time here and we're foodies, so we ordered A LOT of sushi for 3 people (we had 2-3 giant boxes of leftovers). They offer the classic rolls and sashimi, but also include Americanized rolls such as the BLT roll. They also offer other items such as the Onigiri, which were 2 giant rice balls filled with a filling of your choice. I'm definitely going to come back and making sure I bring a jacket or blanket with me next time! Make sure you come early for dinner because we tried going late on a Thursday night, but the wait was about an hour long. They also get a lot of to-go orders come in, so plan accordingly. read more

No-nonsense, reasonably priced chirashi bowls here -- there are other options but this is what you should get. Popular place because of its incredible value, so don't expect too much in the way of service (or available seats, which there are few of). The different classic options of fish are great and the bed of rice is nice. You get to mix 'n match too, so if you're a salmon fiend and wanna do an all-salmon-don, you do you. I haven't figured out my marginal utility per fish quite yet for some optimized chirashi-ing, so until then I'll get a bit of everything. :) read more

This chirashi bowl changed my life for the better, I swear my vision and taste buds have exploded I could not stop talking about this item with my friends and on social media for the longest time... $18-20 for that bowl with so much sashimi and fluffy sticky rice... I can't get this anywhere in California. Please open a location here I'm beginning you! read more
