I drove a long way to Murrieta Optometry and IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! They have a very large selection, and so many styles to choose from. Special shout-out to Danielle and Holly, who provided such awesome customer service and care. This is a lovely office with helpful doctors and technicians. I brought my son in for an evaluation and they were so kind and gentle with him. He required vision therapy and we started sessions with Mary who is a delight. She knows what she is doing and I'm amazed at the depth of knowledge and skill in the office. read more

I never actually got to go to an appointment. But I made an appointment for my son who needs glasses and prior to even making the appointment I asked if they accepted my insurance. Well sure enough they said they do. They even took down my enrollee # and said they saw my son's name. They called to tell me 2 days before my appointment that they do not take our insurance. I said 2 weeks ago you said you did. Then she tried to tell me that they don't even check insurance until 2 days before when they are doing their new patient paperwork. Her suggestion was to call around and see who accepts my insurance.. isn't that what I did in the first place? So good luck! read more

I have been to this office several years ago and an insurance change led me elsewhere. After much frustration at the big name office I had been using, I returned this week for a fresh perspective. Dr. Cruz LISTENED to my issues and thoughtfully addressed each concern I had about my vision, eye irritation, and prescription. I felt heard and my eyes are clear and my new script feels accurate! My husband and I moved to Murrieta last year and had yet to look for a new optometrist. I found Murrieta Creek Optometry as it is in the same shopping center as Albertsons where I often frequent. I was extremely happy about my first experience with the staff and met with Dr. Diana Iraheta. She made me feel very at ease about my contact lenses exam and explained what she looks at thoroughly, which I very much appreciate. I'm typically anxious about seeing an optometrist, but Dr. Iraheta was so friendly and created a positive, comfortable environment. "If you're considering coming to this place thinking you will receive quality customer service, THINK AGAIN!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT even contemplate stepping foot into this business if you value both your TIME AND MONEY! I seriously have NEVER EXPERIENCED such APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE in my life and am just BAFFLED that such a place is even running. If I could give a NEGATIVE RATING I would without even blinking an eye! Honestly SAVE YOURSELF from HEADACHES and FINANCIAL BURDEN and GO TO ANY OTHER OPTOMETRY OFFICE but here! I have a serious eye condition and was looking for an office to fit me for contact lenses. I ritually came to this office for OVER 2 YEARS and not only did they NOT FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE with getting me fitted correctly but, when calling my health insurance company to make sure I'd still be covered at the new office, I came to find out this office OVERCHARGED ME than they were supposed to! I can only imagine if I never called my insurance company I would've been totally clueless and would've been short a total of over $800.00 that SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED IN THE FIRST PLACE! When trying to communicate this to the woman at the optometry office who handles their billing, she disputed & even had the AUDACITY to say things like "oh, I've done so much work on this claim already" and "I just think the insurance company doesn't want to pay"...SAVE YOUR CONSPIRACY THEORIES FOR POLITICAL DEBATES LADY!!! I literally told her I work in project management & it doesn't matter how much work you've done on a project because it isn't finished until it's done correctly. Her statements only show her LAZY & INCOMPETENT WORK ETHIC! I then TOOK TIME OUT OF MY OWN PROFESSIONAL WORK DAYS to get both the office and my health insurance company on a three-way call when as the patient THIS ISN'T EVEN MY RESPONSIBILITY! On the call she was in a HURRY TO GET OFF & had THE NERVE to tell the insurance company they were wrong when they stated her CLAIM WAS SUBMITTED INCORRECTLY! How are you even going to tell that to the entity that processes their own insurance claims?! Next I requested the office manager call me back so I could give constructive criticism on her employee's DEPLORABLE CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION but she only just echoed the same CRAP saying things like, "oh she handles the billing for 2 different offices" & "we've always had problems with that insurance company". LIKE WHAT?! Since when has a business's work load ever been the customer's problem??? NEWS FLASH, IT'S NOT! I work with customers on the daily and NEVER have we ever communicated such GARBAGE to make them feel like it's a BURDEN to do our own job right! And also explain then how every other optometry office I've been to (3 others at the same time as this) can get it all right and you guys can't! Honestly a 5 year old with a lemonade stand has vastly wayyy better customer service skills than these individuals! Through email it was NO BETTER when attempting to collect invoices with the correct medical billing codes because yet again I had to DO THEIR JOB FOR THEM catching MISTAKE AFTER MISTAKE OVER AND OVER! It's already difficult enough to have a chronic eye condition but literally having to deal with such a PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS just makes it UNECESSARILY HARDER! If you want quality customer care with actual doctors who know what they're doing go to California Oaks Vision Center with Dr. Vernon Poole or Inland Eye Specialists with Dr. Brett Larson. Dr. Brett Larson is truly experienced in his field and figured out during the first visit with him why the contact lens were leaving my eyes irritated, something this office couldn't do FOR OVER 2 YEARS! However, even though the doctor at Murrieta Creek Optometry was the one to tell me I needed to see another specialist because they were incompetent at their job, they still refused to relinquish the money my insurance company had already paid them for reasons of "time and lab work done". Just another example of how backwards their business ethics are because a good business would understand that if a service was not completed by them then no money should be owed to them. People say it is so hard to find good customer service these days but I don't think it's that hard when trying to put yourself in the customer's shoes and clearly I have found it in other optometry offices elsewhere. I promise you WON'T REGRET NEVER ASSOCIATING WITH THIS BUSINESS IN YOUR LIFE & THEIR ASSOCIATES. I've been coming here for 2 years now and I have had nothing but good things to say about my experience with the entire staff and my optometrist Dr Diana Iraheta. Dr Iraheta was able to fine tune my script from a previous optometrist that I felt was a little off and discovered I have a stigmatism, which is something my other optometrist did not pick up on. I started bringing my son a year ago when he was 4, Dr. Dugan is incredibly patient with him and is excellent in explaining everything she does with the why and how she prescribes. Because of the pleasant experience we've been back and I've brought my two teens. They said Dr. Wilson was very nice to them and she made them feel comfortable. One said she really "vibed" with her . Thank you, Kim for being so patient with my teens in their indecisiveness choosing their frames. Great help from Sayra, she was so attentive, patient as I tried on 20 pairs of glasses (I couldn't decide which pair I liked) and overall professional. She even offered to readjust my old glasses prior to me leaving (had no idea that was even an option, so I greatly appreciated the offer). They are absolutely top notch! I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. At Murrieta Creek Optometry, we encountered the kindest individuals every step of the way. They are professional, knowledgeable & cheerful. I like their office & it's location. I also appreciate they have a nice selection of frames from France & Japan that don't break the bank. One final note. They did offer me coffee which is nice but really isn't my thing. Maggie then pulled out a wonderful selection of Stash teas and I thought wow, they really are full service here! Side note: After working with a different "Vision Center" in the area for years, I finally pulled the plug. It had become like a bad relationship & my husband asked why I continued to go if I was so unhappy. The problem was I LOVED the doctors. It was the front office staff, really just one individual, that we had problems with over & over. I finally realized if the doctors wouldn't address the complaints about her then that says something about them & it was time to move on. Today I realized I should've moved on years ago. There are more great optometrists with VSP in the area and there's no need to settle for sort of good care when you can come to Murrieta Creek Optometry and receive the full package of an amazing experience! read more

Gosh where do I begin. I've come here twice now. The first time they over charged me, but never let me know and a year later sent a refund. I came again a couple weeks ago and they overcharged me by $200. When I mentioned to the manager that it seemed expensive she told me I was getting a good deal. I went over my bill in detail and realized I was overcharged and it took then days to get back to me. Fast forward to today. They called me yesterday and told me my daughter's glasses came in so I made an appointment for 9am today. Well it's 9:20 and no one is here. I told them she is missing school and they assured me it would not take more than 5 minutes. I will not do business with this optometrist again. I will also not do business with their other location in Temecula. read more

Your business does not provide a high level of customer care as you claim. You've just lost six patients that frequented this location for 10 years. Here's why: 1. Answering my call, not to greet me, but to laugh and finish up their office conversation first. 2. Not wiping down equipment before next patient uses it. 3. Assuming that people of the same race came together. 4. Inconsistent experience: a. Received a second poorly written custom text regarding frames pick up from your business alert number. b. Fraudulent fee - Attempted to charge a fitting fee when not fitted for contacts. c. Conveying false information regarding the effects of insurance to frames arrival expectancy. Your staff needs to conduct themselves professionally, strictly follow clear and concise work flows to produce consistent positive experiences. This was my second visit with this office. The doctors seem really nice and helpful. However, today there was an issue with my insurance, and the office staff was extremely unprofessional. I don't remember the gals name that took care of me, because I was so frustrated I didn't want to be there any longer. When she called my insurance she proceeded to put them on speaker phone where the entire office could hear, she even put the volume louder so she could hear. If you are on hold fine, put it on speaker until they answer, and then pick up the phone. No, she the representative answered and she continued to keep her on speaker phone where everyone could hear my business. Extremely unprofessional and not worried about privacy what so ever.
