Extremely late getting in for an appointment knowing that I had time constraints for a scheduled pickup. Never completed the exam.

Quality and personal time and care. Staff and Dr. Fennema are fantastic. Eileen helps you find the perfect pair of glasses.

My whole family has been seeing Dr. Eric Fennema for about 8 years now and we couldn't be happier with the care we receive. He's a knowledgeable, patient, and thorough optometrist who truly takes the time to listen and explain things clearly. You never feel rushed during appointments, and he always makes sure your vision needs are fully addressed. We trust him completely and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great eye doctor." Not only is Dr. Fennema an excellent optometrist, but his entire team is wonderful as well. Eileen, who helps with fittings, prescriptions, and choosing glasses, is especially fantastic. She's incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind--and she always makes the experience fun with her great sense of humor. You can tell she really cares about helping you find the right fit and style. It's always a pleasure working with her! read more

Great office! Been coming for years for myself and my family. We love it. The Dr is great, sweet, and takes his time I never feel rushed. However, they are a busy practice so plan to wait a little- as you would want the staff to take their time with you! read more

Made an appointment over the phone with them, took the time off of work only to arrive and be told me appointment was made for the wrong day. I couldn't make it to the new appointment and their next available one was a month away. Needless to say I won't be returning and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Absolutely love Dr Fennema but unfortunately will be leaving this optometrist office. After three years of requiring masks this is OVERBOARD. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. read more

The doc here is awesome. He is a very good thorough optometrist and with the quality of his care, I will definitely be back. My eyes tear up a lot and working In front of a computer, he explained the need for two sets of glasses. It all made sense and hopefully I will have a better experience, especially with my job being in front of a computer 80% of the time. Great experience. read more

This office is terrible Very unprofessional and discriminate against people with disabilities! LITERALLTY Half way through my exam I was asked to leave after one of the staff members felt uncomfortable with my medical condition! I filed a police report on site, and followed up with the Civil Rights Division and American Disability Association. This is NOT okay!!! read more

Great office, great staff, awesome doctor. We drive an hour to this office and never question weather it's worth it, it is. We had visited a couple different places, and received poor service, bad prescriptions, and high pressure sales on glasses we couldn't afford. This office is everything we were looking for and more. read more

Very Very pleased with Dr. Fennema. I have been wearing glasses since I was 10, I am now 38, no doctor has ever taken the time to explain the issues I have with my vision like Dr. Fennema has. I also brought my 8 year old daughter with me, Dr. Fennema and his team were sweet and patient. I feel like the Dr. truly cares and takes the time to show that. I highly recommend. read more

Thank you Dr. Fennema and team for being so accommodating. I have a tricky astigmatism that you have to be patient with to get the best fitting contact lens and perfect vision. The entire team made me feel very comfortable, professional and understood how to deal with my stubborn eyes. Dr. Fennema is extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him! Kudos to entire team! read more

I've been going to Dr Fennema for awhile, and was visiting this office before they moved to their most recent location. My husband has some pretty serious vision issues, so while I go for your run of the mill myopia, my husband's needs are more involved. I don't have any issue with Dr Fennema, but I wont be going back anymore because of how the office is run, the time it takes to accomplish anything and their costs. Appointments take an average of 1.5 hours for each family member, so we'll be there for a good 3-4 hours when its me and my husband, and that's WITHOUT picking out frames. Every year when I make my appointments I ask, "What time would be best so I don't have to wait?" and there seems to NEVER be a good time. They'll schedule you for their first appointment at 8:30am and not call you for another half hour which makes NO sense. It just seems like a poorly run office if they open but are not ready to receive patients. Open later or arrive before patients - simple as that. This most recent year the cost was outrageous, and then they sent us a follow up bill for a $7 charge (for each of my family members). We have eye insurance which covers all the basics, but somehow they find ways to charge you. Our last bill was for over $500 and that was for one set of adult frames ($100 after insurance), one set of child frames ($7 after insurance), and three sets of lenses - only one of which was more than bottom of the barrel basic. It took 3 weeks to get my husband's glasses in and then they were the wrong prescription. After dealing with a lot of discomfort, no response from their office, and being billed AGAIN he went to a ophthalmologist who took care of everything within days. Considering we only go to the eye doctor's once a year, I put up with my frustrations for awhile - maybe a good 5-8 years. But we're going to a better run office from now on. read more

Office was very easy to find. Parking lot does get busy so finding a spot can be tricky. Office is located upstairs but don't worry there is an elevator. Front office was very friendly and the office is very clean. There is a wonderful fish tank that our son adored. Dr. Was very patient with my husband and very thorough. We ended up coming back to order his glasses but the optician was great! He can't wait to get his new rx! Thank you!! read more

Dr Fennema and his staff are the best! This was hands down the best eye exam I've ever had. I have extremely poor vision and astigmatism. I knew my current glasses and contact lenses were not the best but I was shocked to find how bad my last exam was which resulted in a prescription that was way too strong. Dr Fennema took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I learned about issues with my eyes and vision that no other doctors ever explained. I can't believe the clarity I have with my new contacts and glasses His staff is also wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The tech who helped me pick out my new frames was nice but honest. With her help, I not only chose frames I liked but that also work well with my features. I have already sent two of my friends to Dr Fennema. read more

I've been going to Dr. Fennema for years. Even though I have moved out of the city, I remain a loyal patient because he is the best! He is very accommodating to his patient's hectic schedules and he provides excellent service. Thank you Dr. F and staff! read more

Love love and love this doctor and team! State of the art equipment to perform the exam, he is so patient and explains everything to you. My whole family goes here. The team will look at even option to get the price if you choose to purchase frames and lens. So great to have someone so good in our growing city of Menifee. read more

Ok let me just say very professional and friendly staff. I made the mistake and was at the wrong office. Knowing I was late the lady behind the desk contact the other optometry office ( even tho I wasn't their client) and told them I was at the wrong location and running late. Now I wish I would have used this office. Thank you read more

Been going to Dr. Fennema for years. He has great bed side manner, and thoroughly answers my questions. As my eyes have changed he was been very willing to discuss what would be best. Bifocals, computer glasses progressives etc. The rest of his staff is great too. I have always had good experiences. read more

I have bad astigmatism and wanted to get sized for contacts or sport glasses with the inserts to begin cycling again. I was told that there was only one type of lens available for my type of astigmatism. They were the most awful lenses they turned a lot irritated my eyes. Well after going to a better office I was told that I was lied to that there are infact 8 different contacts that i could try. I was also sized correctly and this was the first time in my life I could see 20/20 with glasses. This new office Bear Creek Eye Optometry is amazing. Menifee Valley Optometry never follows up with you to see if your glasses or contact lenses are a good fit. The office manager won't call you to let you know if special sports glasses come in your prescription.you You have to make a special drive there to see what is going on to get the BS "Oh i was about to call you" . Don't waste your money or time going to this office go to Bear Creek Optometry or any other optometrist and be sure to ask about the doctors background. read more
