First of all, they are understaffed as I went in 4 times and always a line up of customers waiting. Friendly and helpful staff but it's a disappointing consumer experience. Secondly, pricing is not transparent, did not show iPad during process. Self evident they are all about upselling wherever they can. Just like service at a car dealership. I saved $200+ by cutting extras that had no value to me. Third, and most importantly, very disappointed in the quality of the lens as already has a scratch. My dirt cheap Amazon Chinese progressive glasses and my expensive OVVO glasses/lens have endured for years without any scratches. This is poor quality!!! And no, I did not pay extra for warranty or for the EXTRA lens protection. Obvious LensCrafters is focused on profits, not people or quality. read more

The staff was excessively pushy. Their aggressive upselling tactics made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. I attempted to ask questions about different lens options and frames, hoping to receive unbiased advice. However, it quickly became evident that their recommendations were heavily skewed towards the most expensive options available. It is disappointing to see a company prioritize their profit margins over the actual needs and preferences of their patients. When I asked for the PD (Pupillary Distance) for my prescription, one associate straight up lied, saying a person's PD changes based on frames, so they could only supply it once I purchased a frame from them. This is false. Your Pupillary Distance does not change when you're a grown adult. I understand that they might not have wanted to give it to me, so that I don't purchase glasses elsewhere, but I would've appreciated them simply telling me they weren't authorized to give it to me, rather than making up a false claim. If you value genuine service, I recommend avoiding this location. read more

I was able to share what I was looking for to which several options were quickly pulled, each of which fit my description to a T. In addition to the frames pulled according to my request, Devin provided me with an additional frame which ever so slightly 'tempted my boundaries'. In the end I ultimately went with the frames that were slightly out of the box regarding my initial request, but ended up being everything - they are BEAUTIFUL! Once the frames were selected, I was introduced to Sam, who is perhaps the most wonderful Vision Specialist I have ever had the pleasure of working with!! Avoid this location if you can. Their employees do not communicate with you about your order. I had to call each week for status even though they promised to call me back with an update. I waited over 3 weeks for my glasses and got nothing, the store employees kept blaming the lab. It came to the point that when I called for an update on my order that the store employee told me just to come get a refund cause they had no clue what's going on with my glasses. Having just moved to the area, my husband searched and found this location somewhat near our home. We arrived received a friendly greeting and waited only about 5 mins while Jasmine assessed the damage. My current glasses weren't able to be repaired however she was able to remove my current lenses and have them installed in my old frames and we were able to be on our way in less than 10 minutes with no charge.. Chose this location since I now have Medicare/EyeMed figuring it would be a good deal since other seniors I know aren't paying for glasses. This visit with the Dr on site was OK, but stay away from this location if you don't want to get ripped off if it's time to order glasses. I've been wearing glasses for years and have never paid over $400 including frames, transitional, scratch resistant and progressive lenses but never had insurance before either, usually bought through Costco. Now I had $350 credit for glasses from insurance but yet the greedy clerk wanted another $440 to get a pair of glasses and I had picked one of the cheapest $113 frames they had! These were NO expensive designer frames, but you'd think I picked the gold ones with diamonds after what he said it would cost. What a joke! It's a shame that this place tries to scam seniors when they are getting paid by Medicare. I took my prescription to Costco (well worth the membership fee of $60 if you're not a member yet) and not only got the first pair for free, I got a second one for $189 including all the extras. Yes, 2 pair for less than half of what these crooks wanted for one. DO NOT WASTE your money here getting glasses! read more

Update Number #2. I contacted customer service again. I was told that my refund went through and I can expect a check 2-3 weeks? Today marks a month with no refund. Website says 7-10 days to have the money back on your card. So I have to wait 2-3 more weeks. I talked to the manager again. He was not thrilled to talk to me but I'm not thrilled I don't have my money. I'm told a glitch in the system that's why I didn't get my refund on my card. Fine, glitch in the system then why wasn't a check sent out right away?. It's a month now and I'm told I have to wait another 2-3 weeks. This is a nice new office. Everyone was really friendly and I was greeted right away . I made an appointment and I was early so I picked out frames and waited a little longer for the doctor To see me cause they were very busy . It was a good experience . The doctor was very nice & thorough with a good personality . The support staff were all very nice and friendly as well . I was able to save $300 on a promotion they were having that day and they still gave me my AAA discount on top of it . The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they don't have an onsite lab yet and I have to wait 3-5 business days to get my glasses. Had my exam and glasses fit. After 2 more adjustments I had to leave for Europe. My nose became raw and very irritated. I found a local optical shop and had them adjust the nose piece. Now the skin on my nose is healing and there is no pain. I gave a one star because you can't leave a negative number. It seems that their employees worked at Ralph's just before going to LC. Horrible..... They started out nice, took my money and has been "smoke and mirrors" ever since. They told me it would take 7 days to get my glasses made - OH, this location does not have a lab on site and my glasses were being made in Texas as I live in California. Now on 10 days, still no closer to getting them, after 3 different phone calls at 3 different times, I've got 3 different answers and none of them gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. If I knew ahead of time before they took my cash purchase, I would have drove to the Ontario Mills site - they have an on-site lab there and you get your glasses in an hour - and made my purchase there.... That sure would have saved me some Grief.... Typically, LensCrafters is MORE expensive than most eye wear makers and I thought it was for the reason that they make their glasses on-site at each location.... Evidentially, this is not the case at all of their locations. read more

Checked out this Menifee location after going to the Temecula Promenade. I was very impressed by the modern store and selection. I came in on a Monday and was able to get a quick appointment. I found a beautiful new pair of Tiffany eyeglasses and sunglasses. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful the moment I stepped in the store. The manager Emily was so great she helped me to get the best price with my insurance. The optometrist I saw was also very nice. I highly recommend this store! It is worth the drive. read more

Customer service at Lens Crafters in Menifee was excellent. The staff was very attentive and helpful. But I had an eye appointment and the doctor was horrible! She spent about 5 minutes checking my eyes and seemed in a hurry. She spoke very little English so it was very difficult to understand her. I got my glasses two weeks later because be forewarned they do not make glasses in this Menifee location. I felt the prescription was too strong but allowed my eyes a few weeks to adjust. Headaches occurred and fatigue and I was constantly taking my glasses off to see up close. Yesterday I went to America's Best for an eye appointment. The doctor said my prescription was double over corrected! He was not surprised I was fatigued and had head aches. Do not go to Lens Crafters for eye exams! They are more interested in selling their expensive product than insuring they have qualified doctors! read more
