I had an appointment for today at 9am and my son and I are first time patience here. Unfortunately with kids, things happen and life happens and we were unable to make the 9am apt. They don't open until 9, so I couldn't call until the time of the appointment to cancel. Gabby I believe her name was called me and scolded me for not texting to cancel, which I didn't even know was an option as we have never been here before. I was super apologetic about us missing the apt. You don't ever make an apt with the intentions on missing an appointment. When I asked to reschedule for any day next week, I was told because they can't fill this time a lot that I couldn't schedule together with my son. I'll just go to another Drs office. I don't want to do business with people who are not understanding when dealing with children. read more

I dont normally take the time for reviews but Im feeling mixed up. Ive been going to Lake Vision since 2011, I can handle change but not when it feels off a bit. Ill miss Patty so much but I must celebrate her retirement! I loved our previous Doctor, I admit I had a wonderful experience with the new doctor. The atmosphere was slightly different though. First of all, the first voice, face and front person Gabby is and has ALWAYS been exceptional! Beyond friendly and professional, how she manages so much and still leaves everyone feeling like family and like the only patient in the room or on the phone is beyond me!! Especially the Patty Gabby duo brings huge smiles, they made me feel like I was their favorite every time! Thats rare for one person let alone two so Im soooo grateful Gabby is still there!!! I found the new staff members lovely but to me it felt like something was off, they all seemed a little nervous to be themselves, hard to explain, the family atmosphere didn't flow, like it came from new management and that would be sad to me!!! My husband is a client also, my husband and I felt a little pushed & hurried for the cost and purchases this time. That was different. The doctor Michelle is nice and helpful. The staff at the front desk are rude and have attitude. Their glasses are a bit over priced. I asked for my prescription to order them else where, and thats when the attitude started. While I was waiting for my documents , Gabby the receptionist was rude to other patients that were trying to schedule an appointment on the phone. Sadly this is one of the few places my insurance approved for me. read more

The service is okay. The screws came off two days after I picked up my glasses. Returned them to get them fixed and I had to wait something to do again with the screws and wrong frame. They finally made it right, but it took them weeks. Which is fine things happen. I just thought it was a comedy of errors. The sad thing about this place, is that they are not open every Saturday. I work during the week and can only make it on the weekends. The front desk admin gal had the audacity to say well "Yeah, we have kids so...(basically saying we have a life too and can't be open on Saturdays!) read more

I initially went here because they are close to where I live. After my first visit last year I realized that after 12 year of wearing glasses this was the absolute best exam I ever had. Not only was the exam great and different it resulted in the best prescription I ever had as well. I got a new job and the insurance they offered would not allow me to go here so I changed insurance so that I can go to Dr. Buu. When I got to the office there was some serious confusion with my new insurance, that had nothing to do with them. The staff (all of them) rallied to help me get it straightened out. The made phone calls on my behalf and ultimately it was all taken care of but it was totally because of their efforts, kindness and customer service. Ordered a pair of glasses, and a pair of prescription sunglasses. $400+ and 2 weeks later I find out they ordered a different set of frames than the ones that ordered. I called the same day I picked them up and they said that it wasn't their fault. These sunglasses do not fit my face. They they are nothing close to what I ordered. They refuse to accept their mistake or take any responsibility for it. STAY AWAY!!! *UPDATE* after 4 visits, over a month of waiting, and $200 later they still cant get the order right. we have been through 3 sets of frames, and they have taken our money and given us nothing but frustration! read more

I LOVE Dr. Buu and her staff. I had not really seen an optometrist (Target doesn"t count) so I wasn't sure what to expect. To my relief, it was painless, imformative and pleasent. I was seen promptly. All of my concerns re. eyes were explained and put to rest before I even had to a chance to ask. Gabby is a delight to work with. I needed to reschedule 2 x's, with no problems, attitude or seeming to be inconvenienced by my rescheduling requests. I've been going here since I was in 6th grade, I'm 21 years old now. Dr. Buu is one of the best eye doctors and will really go out of her way to get you seeing clear, i was diagnosed with Kerataconus and ever since, she has been helping me see clear through any complications. Right now I am wearing Scleral lenses that she had me fitted, and they're really comfortable and it gives me great vision. Would highly recommend you guys come here because Dr. Buu and her staff take very good care of you and everyone is super nice! read more

I went here for the first time on a referral from my doctor. I've never had such a great experience at an optometrists, Dr. Buu is so pleasant and thorough. She treated me as if she had all the time in the world and did so many tests and answered all my concerns. The front staff was extremely helpful and the dispensing optician worked with me to pick out a frame that suited me.
