My friend and I enjoying live music!

Great service, fun environment, live entertainment...we had a great time! It's a beer and wine place in downtown Murphy, cute decor.

The Kelly's showed up at Murphys Iris Pub Hungry, and they did not disappoint . The Irish Nachos, the Stuffed Avocado, Ceasars salad were good. The chicken wrap was good if you like mayo, and it's a little spicy. All in all, great food and great service. Love it.

Went to hear a friend 's daughter play her music. We tried the nachos with carnitas -- sorry, no photo. It was unusual with potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The toppings were really good -- Bavarian cheese, bacon jam, hold the tomatoes!!, and carnitas. I would rather have either more toppings or less chips because we had a lot of dry chips as the end. The pub is cozy, service is friendly, and we had a nice time!

Stopped here before a concert at Ironstone.. The beer was yummy. The staff was great. The bar was old school and very cool.

What a fun find! Visiting Murphys for the first time and needed a place to eat. It was a little late and not many choices. Stumbled into the pub because we heard some great music wafting around...great decision. The food was so scrumptious...like something my nana used to make; yummy in the tummy! Service was extremely friendly (our poor gal was working a ton of tables and the bar, but kept checking on us anyway)! Will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!

This is a great pub in the heart of historic Murphys and, as is not uncommon in this area, makes good use of the town's name. It has a definite ean towards Irish or British pub feel. There's fairly limtied seating inside, since it's small, but there's an outside area. Staff are mostly very friendly and go a great job. They have a good range of different beers, with some uncommon and very good beers on tap, mostly from across California, but with some good Irish beers which one does nto normally see on tap here, like O'Hara's , as opposed to just the usual Guinness stable stuff. Food is great. The Irish Nachos were phenomenal, using kettle chops which actually provided just the right texture and crispiness, plus a great range of toppings giving lots of flavour and balance. 5 stars. Shepherd's pie was nice. A touch salty and fatty perhaps but rich and flavourful. 4 stars. Pretzels with beer cheese and mustard were excellent. 5 stars.

    Live music and great beer!

Then I noticed the customers cars- all new nice vehicles (MBZ sedan, new Ford Bronco, Toyota 4-Runner, etc) The bar section was kind of crowded at 4:30pm, only a couple of seats open, so we sat in a funky raised booth with our backs to the window. Seemed like a lot of regulars as they all knew one another. Female bartender came out and took our beer orders and then brought menus. We ordered food (fish & chips, and a BLTA Club). Friend said they have great fish & chips and she was very pleased. i was surprised to find the BLTA far above my expectations for a pub. Fries were good too- perfectly cooked to a golden brown. I would go back for that sandwich when in that area of town. The food items were each just over $20-24, four beers $9 each. With tax and 20% tip it was just under $100 I'd go back 100%. Not a place I'd take a date, however.

The fish sandwich was ok, nothing to brag about. I have had much better and price was kinda high. Their churro desert with vanilla ice cream was amazing. After searching around…read morea bit I decided to come here given the large food menu and the decent cocktail selection based on the menu online. I am so glad I did and will be adding this to my rotation. I got lucky since they still had st pattys specials. I love scotch eggs and a good potato leek soup. Everyone was super attentive and friendly and they checked in on me regularly. I've never been a big pub person but they do it well with lots of spaces. I managed to get a table by the window so it was a smidge more quiet. The place was pretty packed by 7. I can't believe I've skipped this spot so many times. Sometimes your girl just needs to put away her champagne and touch some grass lol. I enjoyed it so much I came can the next day. I'm a creature of habit and I love good food so this will be part of my rotation. So glad I ventured out! The drinks are strong and heavy with a pretty good draft selection as well. Potato leek soup: so good I ordered it 2 days in a row. Asked for no sour cream dollop the second time. Scotch eggs: not easy to find and my goodness so delicious. The only time a scotch egg is bad is if the egg is overcooked. Not here! Calamari: i juicy and tender chunky pieces mmmmmm. Reminds me of the calamari in Australia. Cottage pie: didn't do the shepherds pie since I generally don't eat lamb. Pretty much the same with cheese on top. I do want to take my part Irish hubby here since I've never had shepherds pie made with lamb, even in Australia it was made with beef. The only dessert option is bread pudding so I skipped. But I will try it on a day I'm not too stuffed, which might be pretty hard with the portion sizes! Yummy food that's more than abundant in portion size, and a big enough variety to suit most palates. Drinks are equally big and tasty. Wonderful friendly attentive staff with the biggest smiles. What more can you want? See you next time!

The food and drinks, however, were a little bit of a let down. -Margarita: 3/5. Didn't taste the tequila and was too tart. -Paloma: 5/5. Still great with the fresh grapefruit. -Calamari: 6/5. Still outstanding. HUGE portion of sliced calamari steak perfectly cooked with a horseradish forward cocktail sauce (love) and tartar sauce. So big was our shared appetizer AND my entree. -Classic Burger: 4/5. Sadly the burger was overcooked this time and so was dry. -Home-cut Fries: 7/5. OMG. These fries are outstanding and truly addictive. I will go back just to get these and make sure I can take the extras home bc again the portion is HUGE! Macduffs is rated high for a reason. Do yourself a favor and give them a try as soon as you can. We will def go back!

We've been going to McP's down there every Thanksgiving since 2018 while staying at the Hotel Del with friends. It's become a tradition. So coming up to Tahoe and seeing the same name, same feel, it just clicks right away. This location has its own energy though. Bigger, louder, more going on, but still feels familiar. Good crowd, live music, plenty of space to hang out, and it always feels like something's happening. The food is solid, drinks are right, and service has always been good. Nothing overdone, just consistent every time. It's one of those places you go after a long day out and end up staying longer than you expected. Easy, comfortable, and just a good time. For me, it ties together Coronado memories with Tahoe trips, which makes it even better. Don't ever change.
