Stopped in for a quick lunch. Burgers were their Monday special. We ordered the cheeseburger which came with fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickled onions. The onions rings and cheeseburger were excellent. A couple sitting near us had ordered pizza and it looked and smelled delicious! They have quite an extensive menu featuring housemade entrees. We definitely will return to try the fish, chicken, and pork tenderloin. We enjoyed the casual ambiance and attractive decor. My husband loved the many TV screens showing a variety of sports. We started coming to Murphy's after it reopened when Callaghan's closed. We were impressed with the atmosphere, food quality, and service. This evening we decided to have carry out. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed by our order. The French fries seemed to come from the bottom of the skillet and the turkey sandwich was just ok. We hope this was just one bad experience and not the experience of 2025. read more

I can't believe I forgot to review Murphy's Corner when I went there a month or so ago. This will be a shorter one, since I can't remember what my dinner companions had but we had a good experience. We all really enjoyed our food. I had the chicken tenders which were clearly made in-house. I did start one tender short because one fell off the plate when she was leaving the kitchen, but she got that one to me relatively promptly. The vibe is a standard bar and grill but it was perfectly pleasant. I didn't give 5 stars because the service was rather slow - I suspect they were understaffed (story of the restaurant biz these days) but the food really was great for what it was. I'd gone to Jefferson's not long before that, which is a similar concept nearby, and I much preferred Murphy's. read more

First time coming here on a friends recommendation. Neat sports bars with lots of TVs everywhere. Got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was very good. Was disappointed they were out of pub chips however that was actually good news. Substituted fries and they were arguably the best fries I've ever had. We love to support small business. So far we have tried their pizza which is surprisingly very good for a bar. My only wish is that they would have more ingredients/toppings. Their pork tenderloin sandwich and burgers are also very good. Tonight we both tried the spinach salad which apparently changes from time to time. Can't wait to see what salad comes next because this one was very good and I look forward to what comes next. The staff here is super friendly. read more

The food was good with a decent atmosphere. My one negative is that they charge a 5% fee for using a debit or credit card as a payment method. So, bring cash or be prepared to pay that surcharge. read more

There use to be a jukebox atmosphere that was more mutual to every one. Now its taken on the generic sports environment, constantly have to have sound on to sports. Football games blaring that no one cares about, just because, sports. Food is still excellent as it was, if not better. read more

Yelp never lets me down! Stopped for a quick brunch before heading to the airport. Completely unassuming joint that you wouldn't necessarily walk into on your own. Even when you walk in, it gives "dive bar" vibes more than "delicious culinary delight" vibes. I knew it was going to be a great place when our two teenage girls helped themselves to a couple Jolly Ranchers stashed on the bar top and the bartender just shrugged it off and laughed. I arrived in town quite late and they were a few options. Available to eat. Most of the time, late night pubs have relatively average food. I called Murphy's to ensure they were still open. It was 10:30 PM. The bartender answered and told me the kitchen closed at 11. It was going to be tough for me to get there by that time so I asked him if he would take a phone order For me to be able to dine in when I got there. He was very accommodating, and took my order as if I was in the restaurant. As soon as I arrived, the bartender saw me come through the door, asked if I was Steve. He and another server came to my table, brought me water immediately, and within a minute or two had my food at the table. Absolutely amazing service. They checked on me frequently and insured I was happy with my meal. As for the food, it was great. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a Greek salad. The Greek salad truly was filling, and had all of the right components; tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, feta, and a perfectly mixed dressing. It was excellent. The chicken sandwich was perfect. The chicken was not over cooked, was moist, well seasoned, and a rather large piece. The bun was very soft, buttered and grilled perfectly. The vegetables were all very fresh. The restaurant is quaint, but well accommodated. TVs are placed in great locations that all tables can see them. There's a nice pool table. The bar is reasonably sized and well stocked. It was very clean, and well cared for. This place is a "Must-Try"! I will absolutely be back in the future. read more

Would not recommend. My burger came out undercooked. I also ordered a COCKTAIL off the COCKTAIL specials menu, and they came out with a shot and told me they would not send it back. So I had pay for it and they were not even sorry that it said it was a cocktail on the menu. read more

Very bland experience- food was typical bar food and nothing stood out . Service was acceptable and atmosphere was very generic as well. Went for early dinner and no crowd but fries still came out lukewarm- which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Fries are jot worth eating unless hot out of the fryer. I stopped in on whim for lunch. The bartender was professional and attentive. Not impatient while I familiarized myself with the beer menu. I ordered the fish and chips. I was very pleasantly surprised. The fish was crispy and not greasy. The fries were properly crunchy and nicely seasoned. Ambiance was kind of dive bar, but food and service made up for it.
