Is it just another neighborhood bar and grille? Sure. Does it have a local vibe, with all the sportsball? Yes. Is the food worth the visit, or the drink specials? Yes. Wallaby's is all of that and more. To be square, I've lived in this area for close to a decade, and I never knew this place existed. In fact, I don't even know how long it's been around. But I'm glad I found it! The fare is pretty much what you would expect: burgers & wings or something you didn't expect, like their Wallabaskets or shrimp entrees. But what sets them apart is their execution and delivery of really good food. We opted for burgers, mostly because of the array of choices, and we were not disappointed! My bacon cheeseburger, while maybe not the healthiest thing I could eat, was simply fantastic. The patty was juicy and perfectly done, the toppings were just what I wanted, and the fries on the side were just right. Excellent burger! Service is prompt & very friendly, whether you're at the bar or a table. Pricing is on par with the area market but the value outpaces the price point (the burgers are BIG). Drinks specials on the daily, like that $5 Sunday Bloody Mary or big draft beer Sat/Sun for $5 or less. Nothing not to like! I'll be back for the shrimp-featured dishes (like a Bang Bang special) or maybe the Sydney Sizzler. If those are anything like the burger, then this is the place for me - and you as well. read more

This is a great local hangout. Cool crowd hanging out after work. I got a seat at the bar and Ben did a great job taking care of me. I had a drink and it was made perfectly. I tried the bacon shroom burger. It is an absolute beast! 1/2 pound of meaty goodness. It was cooked well and the toppings were good. The fries were a nice crispy golden brown. I had been here maybe 15 years ago and had forgotten about this place. Some friends and I were looking for a place to sing karaoke on a Saturday night and this was one that popped up. The bar itself sits back in the corner of an industrial business area and can easily be missed from the Main Street. We got there and sat at the bar. Bartender was nice and friendly with good suggestions of drinks and food. We ended up getting cocktails and the Appetizer Sampler, This was a large selection of the food. the potato skins and wings were very large in side and had amazing flavor, the mozzarella sticks hit the spot, but the interesting thing with the sampler was the didgeridoo sticks (crisp green beans that were fried to perfection). After having the sampler I definitely want to go back and try more of the food!!! read more

I love this place!! The service is so fast. Food is so fresh and great. If you are picky then you don't have to embarrassingly say can you remove onions it just comes on the side. The staff is so nice and is willing to have a conversation. The vibe is great there is light up signs EVERYWHERE they have touch tunes and it actually plays it loud not like other bars. Needed to kill time before an event in the area, and saw this was nearby. I think it was a pleasant place to grab dinner and a beer. When you walk in, it smells a bit like cigarette smoke, and there were several college sports games on. This led to a lot of yelling during our meal. I'm not complaining, this is absolutely the atmosphere for that. I am just saying if you are looking for a place to watch a game and don't want to feel judged, this is your place. I ordered the Monday night burger special for carry out, but was charged full price. No where on the website does it say excludes carry out. Had I known I would have gone somewhere else. I know of at least two other places that have Monday night burger specials that do not exclude the special price with carry out. Also, I ordered medium rare and got medium well. Came in on a Monday around 9pm. Was only us and a few people at the bar. Liked the feel of the place and its decorations, laid back and comfortable. Service was super fast and nice. Would love to see it during a game. Got the black and bleu burger and split a plate of the nachos. Burger was a bit cheaper thanks to the Monday special. Burger was slightly dry but for $7 who cares. More bread than meat but tasty. Side salad with southwest ranch was cold, crisp and well prepared. Homemade croutons? The fish and chips. Well, it was awful. Plain and simple. Fries were the extruded battered type and the fish was tasteless and stiff. No amount of tartar sauce (tasty) nor malt vinegar could help this one. Seemed as if the cheapest pre battered frozen filets money could buy. The fish itself had an odd grey color. Yes, we should have sent it back. The side salad was the highlight of the meal. Ordering and getting any service was like pulling teeth. The food was actually pretty good, I had the Reuben with onion rings, my kids had chicken tenders with fries and my wife had a steak and it was all delicious. I really don't like leaving bad reviews for staff, and had she acknowledged once that she was sorry for the service or even had mentioned how busy she was, ANYTHING at all would have at least made it a little better. We ordered : Teriyaki Boneless Wings Thai Garlic Boneless Wings 2x Chicken Caesar salads "Boneless wings" (see pics) were two (per order, four total) breaded chicken fillets with a large amount of relatively flavorless sauce. Not at all what you'd expect when ordering boneless wings. The romaine in the salad was fibrous and dry, definitely left out to dry. Caesar dressing was unremarkable but heavy, probably calorie-dense but of little pleasure. The salad needed a lot of help. This meal overall was not quite abysmal, but very far from good. I don't know what else to say except that for takeout, I don't recommend this pub/restaurant in the least. Almost anything else (non-chain) would be a more responsible choice. So this was a handy location for the four of us to get lunch. It's a nice pub with good parking and location. We were there close to lunch so were hoping to get a seat. Place was not busy at all... A little worrisome but place was friendly and service was good. Typical bar selections... Some with Aussie names. The burger was good. The chicken salad was good... And our modifications were all followed. The fish and chips were crispy with a good flavor and my wife was thrilled it wasn't beer batter. I had the pork tenderloin which was prepped just like my wife prefers them... Thin and juicy. My onion rings were also crunchy and hot. I was surprised by the lack of an Aussie beer. But I like Blue Moon and it's ok without an orange. Prices were reasonable. This is close to my brother-in-law's house and would make a great place to gather. The burger was good, and our server Mary was phenomenal. This is the 3rd time that I've taken my wife & young daughter. Ironically, she's been our server each time. Her knowledge of the menu was most helpful. We will always choose her service. .... on the other hand, those few visits have been somewhat difficult to handle. Each time, the bartender seemed like folks were in the way of him and his regulars having their own good time. I dont know his name, but he has black hair. His regulars were loud and obnoxious. A couple of the waitress' are very rude. They throw your tickets and debit cards on the table. They don't come back to see if you need anything or a refill on your drinks. The guy that works there, don't know if he is the owner or manager has a long nasty beard or goatee but he needs to stop playing the golf game and outside smoking. This place is so odd. It's been here for years. Appears to cater mostly to men and older people. I've come a few times with my girlfriends (mid 40's to early 50's ladies) and it is just weird how bad the servers are. It's almost like they don't want us there. I stopped by tonight to kill some time while my wife hosts movie night for her and a few of her friends from work. The weekend special here is 65 cent hot wings. Bingo! I wanted wings, and that they were on special sealed the deal. The wings are decent sized, and not slathered in sauce. What struck me most was the grill marks on each wing. That nice charred bit in nearly every bite only enhanced the flavors. I had the standard hot, but they have a few flavor variations. For a small neighborhood place, you can't really go too wrong here. I've heard great things about the burgers too. Friendly service and good grub for a neighborhood pub and grill. If I had one complaint, it would be that they don't have much in the way of craft beers, and no drink menu. I get that they're not really after that customer, but a little bit of effort here could go a long way with customers like me. They seem inconvenienced that we were there and needed things like a 2nd drink, menus, silverware or answers about the menu/specials. We like Wallaby's. It's a great place to watch a game and grab a bite. The food is actually really good. I was pleased to see some healthy choices that a lot of bars don't offer. I enjoyed the chicken fajita, chicken quesadilla, the salads are good too. Lots of bars don't even have a salad on the menu. The food is reasonably priced too. They also offer buzz time trivia which is great fun. I saw the negative reviews here with claims about the men's bathroom.
