I have been here a few times now and every time I have been here the food is always been amazing. There is a wide verity of options to choose from, from Oysters to cheese burgers. Staff is always quick to check up on the table and helpful with food suggestions. With all the dollars on the wall you get the feel of a dive bar with the cleanliness of an actual restaurant.

I've been here twice and I love the wings . It's kind of a spot for old lovers and season people..but the response of service is pretty good. They see about you when you come in..but it truly determines what day you come in on....it's truly a bar situation but it can be good . I got a beer and Sriracha wings. I received sweet potatoes fries that I didn't order but..ok...the first day was great that's why I came back again..onion rings and my wings... absolutely great!!!! I can lie the wings are awesome.it a bar situation...I will come back.

Original Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Choice of Side (Baked Beans)

This new sports themed restaurant offered oysters, wings, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and kids' meals. They also had a full bar and a patio. I liked the newly remodeled dining area with a mix of booths and tables, many TVs tuned to sports channels and 80's background music - a notch or two too loud. The original grilled chicken sandwich with choice of side ($10.99) was served 12 minutes after I ordered at the bar, where the service was friendly and attentive. The sandwich had a moist, perfectly grilled, premium chicken patty on a buttered and toasted bun with fresh veggies. I enjoyed the many side options and opted for the baked beans, which were okay. A happy hour is on the way. Overall, pretty good.

We came in craving wings the other night and left full and happy. Jefferson's has some great happy hour deals that include a $1 half order of friend pickles, $5 tank 7s and my favorite $3 wells! Happy hour runs Monday: ALL DAY Tues-Friday: 11AM-5PM & 8PM - Close. We ended up splitting a 15 piece order of chicken wings with sweet potato fries (which was almost too much food.) They had a ton of sauce options, I absolutely loved the spicy garlic Parmesan and the hot citrus honey sauce! I really appreciated how clean the restaurant was and the service was fantastic. This might be my new favorite happy hour spot.

Stopped in to the newly opened Jefferson's in Lenexa for dinner. This place is amazing! TVs everywhere, and a fantastic menu with something for just about everyone. Hannah was our server, and she was absolutely great. Great service without being overly attentive. We tried the guacamole bacon burger, the fried oyster basket, and the fried mushrooms. The burger is on a potato bun & cooked perfectly, to a medium well, if you want it lower I think you can ask. The fire oysters and mushrooms had a similar breading, and it was flaky and crunchy, and the mushrooms were great with their homemade ranch. I highly recommend stopping in supporting this new local place. Also, if you're in Lawrence there's two locations there!

The beer at Jefferson's is COLD. It's probably my favorite thing about this restaurant, although there is a lot to like. The severs are quick and attentive and the food is great. I do wish the veggie burger was an Impossible Patty or something similar. A black bean burger just crumbles and falls apart when subbed for a regular meat patty. The ambiance is great with the exception of the lighting. It's so so so bright in this restaurant. All in all I love Jefferson's.

When dining at Jefferson's in Lenexa they really step up to the plate! I have yet to have a bad meal there! They are on par with their NKC location. Make sure to decorate a dollar and get the fried pickles. Or try fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks (or my personal favorite) fried jalapeños! For your entree you can't go wrong with the guacamole chicken wrap, fried pickle chicken sandwich, the philly cheesesteak or the oysters (I tried mine Cajun style.) For the sides I recommend the tots, curly fries or onion rings. Be sure to check out one of their 20 fabulous sauces as well! I use them for dipping! My favorites are Sweet N' Sassy, Hot Yaki & Turbo Charged. Make sure to polish it off with a dessert. Their best are their funnel cake fries. As usual the service is always on point! With friendly staff who will always get you what you need. The environment is clean and casual with a small outside area for dining.

My husband and I love wings. We were really excited about trying this place. The wings were a perfect size, very well cooked and crunchy the way I like it. Unfortunately, they lacked flavor. I was really hungry and I definitely ate it all. I like that the wings come with tortilla chips or you can get a different side. My husband had a mushroom Swiss burger and that was delicious, very flavorful. The fries were a bit salty but not bad with ketchup. I will definitely return and try a different wing flavor perhaps a wet wing vs a dry wing. The service was good. The server was attentive and the people were super nice and inviting. The ambiance is a sports bar that has a lot of tvs and a great place to watch the game. It was interesting to see how they had dollar bills pinned to the walls. I'll need to do my research to find out the meaning behind that.

Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. Then speaking of Ambiance... we got to sit in my awesome living room and wolf down burgers and a steak salad while watching the movie of choice for the night. Their extensive beer offering is amazing, but cannot enjoy that during a work lunch! We went on a Thursday which is the Burger and fries combo special. I ALWAYS get their amazing tots that are perfectly seasoned and crispy, but my coworkers upgraded to the massive onion rings. Between the large 1/2lb burger (cooked perfectly!) and sides none of us could completely finish our plates! I have never had a bad dish at either location. Our server, Chastity, was super nice and helpful and explained everything for the first timers in our group. She and Hailey do a great job and we are looking forward to trying another special! Next time I will take pictures before inhaling the top notch food! The only downside is the place is noisy, since the ceiling is wide open. Not a deal breaker for me or our group, but I could see it bothering someone more picky. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the service side fell flat. We arrived mid-afternoon around 1:30-2:00, and the restaurant wasn't busy. We asked if we could sit upstairs, and the host seemed confused before telling us it was closed, then seated us directly next to a loud group despite plenty of quieter open tables nearby. A few minutes later, we looked upstairs ourselves and saw multiple occupied tables being actively served...what the heck? The most frustrating part of this experience wasn't the seating, it was the complete indifference from the staff. Drinks didn't arrive until after we had already finished eating, and despite the restaurant being relatively slow, nobody seemed remotely concerned. No urgency or communication. Just a normal day for them, I guess. A kitchen can only carry a restaurant so far when the front-of-house operates with this little care for hospitality. The atmosphere gives the impression of a place that wants to feel polished and upscale, but the service felt lazy and disconnected from the guest experience. Mistakes happen in restaurants. What matters is whether the staff notices and cares enough to fix them. We left wondering how a restaurant with food this solid has become comfortable delivering service this poor.

I selected the JALAPEÑO CREAM CHEESE Burger, which is a prime Wagyu beef patty topped with jalapeño cream cheese spread, peppered bacon, and pepper jack cheese on a brioche bun. Tater kegs were good, taste and size-wise. But we wound up hardly eating much of the fried pickles. They were drowned in salt, so much so even the ranch couldn't compensate or cover it up. My wife got the unlimited wings. She tried three different flavor of wings, all very salty to the taste. Sweet Chili, the Popping Pineapple and the Teriyaki. And the teriyaki really didn't taste like teriyaki at all. My daughter had the veggie burger, and she said it was very salty. I ordered the deviled eggs and the jalapeno creamed corn. The deviled eggs were good; filling was a little runnier than I usually like in a deviled egg. The jalapeno creamed corn had some good spice, but another dish that had entirely too much salt in it. When my wife and first got there to get the table for our party, the host asked if we had the app. We did not, he instructed us how to download it, and told us we'd be getting an email for a free burger. He also told us about the 20% off "Vintage" discount for seniors, of which I am one. At the end of our meal, the server (who was really cool, by the way) gave us our bill, which totalled with tax $165 plus some change. I told him I was a senior and wanted the vintage discount. He brought in iPad over, entered a couple things and brought us a new bill. I glanced at it and it said $163 and some change. So I walked after him and asked him if I paid up front and that's where they gave the discount. He said no you pay me and I did give you the discount. Sure enough, on the receipt, it was saying vintage discount......$2.60. Now I use math in my head every day for work as an air traffic controller, so it didn't take me long to figure out $2.60 is WAY BELOW 20% off of $165. I was looking for some fine print somewhere that might explain this particular math conundrum. Couldn't find anything. I was going to find our server or a manager, but the family was ready to go, and since it was a birthday my wife didn't want me to make an issue of it, so we left. Not happy with the liberal usage of salt in everything, and with today's prices, especially not happy with the issue with the discount that was about 18% short. Probably won't be back.
