It's been just over a year now that I've gotten my tile installed and I feel like I'm looking at it for the first time every day! I Love it! I was very impressed by Jose(?) when he first showed up to look at the project and submit a bid - he was so clean-cut, and perfectly groomed. Definitely a professional appearance. On the day of installation, the 2 guys that were to install the tile arrived (on time), and Jose showed up with them. I really appreciated the personal touch and time he took with the guys to go over the details of the project. The installers were very polite and very competent at what they do. I know that some people might say "It's just subway", but with the dark grout, there's really no room for error - any offset tile will catch your eye right away. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything looking as good, if not better (because we have new tile after all) when they left. Many thanks! I would highly recommend! read more

From the front office staff, to the fabricators, to the installers, we had an excellent experience with Munoz Tile. Erika was amazingly patient and sweet with my endless questions. I would stop by frequently because the warehouse is very close to my home, and on the way of my daily commute. When Erika wasn't there, Melanie was equally helpful. We picked out a quartzite for our kitchen counter and it arrived within two weeks. Since Munoz only stocks quartzite, they recommended a local yard for the natural stone that we wanted for our fireplace surround. The yard delivered it to them seamlessly. Jose, the owner, came to measure with another employee. He was prompt, conscientious, and meticulous with calculations. Three weeks after our countertop was prepped and sink set into the plywood base, Gustavo and a crew of 4-5 men came to install. They covered my floors with heavy padded tarps, set up their saws and grinders in the driveway, and took the entire day installing my counters and backsplash. I love that they miter the edges of the counters, and that there are only two almost-invisible seams in my entire kitchen! Gustavo came back the next day by himself to install the fireplace surround. He was equally as meticulous, and was concerned that his crew might have nicked a cabinet the previous day. (Not the case!) They were slightly more expensive than the huge mega-installers in the East Bay, but I preferred local, AND Munoz had a better selection of countertop choices. And the mitered corners look SO much nicer. I cannot recommend them higher. read more

Munoz Tile does spectacularly great Tile and Granite work. They prepare the floor, wall and counter surface carefully. In our case they prepared a mortar bed floor and wall for some beautiful Italian tiles and some sparkly terrazzo floor tile. Our bathroom is irregularly shaped with vaulted ceiling. Handled perfectly. Everyone who has seen it is amazed. Super professional and efficient and competitive bids. Would have them back in an instant for any floor, wall, backsplash tile or counter work. In fact, planning to have them back for another project. Based in Petaluma but work in San Francisco as well. Highly recommended. read more

Wish I was writing praise like all the other reviewers here. Unfortunately, I can't say I've had a great experience with them at all because they still haven't contacted us about a simple, basic quote. This process started mid-July. My husband reached out by email and received a quick response that same day. The representative asked for additional information, which my husband provided, and that was the last email. No follow up, no estimate, no quote. A few days later, my husband decided to just stop in. He spoke with the same lady he corresponded with in the email. Took down his info, details of the job, etc. and gave him a rough estimate. The owner was out of town for another week and an official quote would be provided once he returned. They never did. We initiated contact twice, and both times were met with silence. Perhaps they're too busy to take on new clients, or just simply forgot - both times. Who knows what the deal is. read more

They were terrible to work with. Showed up late and missed appointments. When they did show it was with one hours notice. We contracted for a master bath sink and backsplash. After they installed the sink, they informed us that they didn't have enough material for the backsplash and that we were on our own. The guest bath sink was installed in a way that makes it so the the center flip-out drawer doesn't close, so we had to remove that. Worst of all they used the wrong epoxy on more than $15k worth of kitchen stone and it has stained horribly, and will likely need to be thrown away. read more

We went with Munoz and our counters look amazing. I found scheduling to be difficult with them (difficult to lock down a time and they flaked on the first appointment), but once they got out here, they did an amazing job and were super nice. We didn't use them for our tile, just counters and if I had it to do over again, I'd use them for the tile too. read more

Fabricated a vanity top but left an imperfection right in the middle of the top. I understand marble has imperfections but my argument is they could have cut the sink hole 1" more to the right and cut them out. It looks like somebody burned it. I had Jose come out and give me a bid on my firepit! He came on time and gave me bid that evening! I appreciated his knowledge, and the fact that he was a professional in every way! The firepit was scheduled for tile installation the following week and all went as planned! The work crew of four picked up tile from store and completed job in one day! They cleaned up their mess and also wanted to be sure I was a happy customer! They did a beautiful job and I have received nothing but compliments. The people who work for Munoz Tile are true professionals. Their work was spectacular. They carefully cut parts of the sheets of smaller natural stone tiles on walls and backsplash so it looks like each one was individually attached to the wall (not repetitive) and small areas were also installed with precision. The ceramic wood floor tiles were challenging as we installed them on a diagonal - with some curves around a standing fireplace as well. Highly recommend Munoz!! read more

We have used Munoz on several occasions and have been happy. They have great people/brothers that work for them and they do good work. On this occasion, the communication was poor on their part. It required that I text and email them consistently to get the job scheduled and then it was delayed by a week+. This cost me $$ as i has to reschedule other vendors. I asked if there was enough material for a waterfall edge and they responded yes but told me that just the waterfall edge would cost an additional 60% of the initial cost of the job. The finished product is good but in this case, communication and pricing was not. read more

Unprofessional and careless. Installed new quartz counters in my kitchen and they were careless in their measurement so the undercount sink does not fit. They measured the island wrong but I was able to reject it so they (reluctantly) made a new counter causing a two week delay. The sink is unrepairable. When I complained, they said "it's only 1/6" off". It's more like 3/16" and it looks bad. These guys may have been good once but they are too busy and don't train or supervise their personnel.. read more
