As I "hemmed" and "hawed" and got overwhelmed with decisions, Lillian calmly and politely kept touching base and working with me. In the end, I was able to get everything related to the counters booked and done with Lillian i.e. the counters, the plumbing, the sinks and fixtures). When it came to the install, both gentlemen were very professional. They showed up on time with the full quartz slab and cut and shaped it on the spot, which was awesome and fun to watch. The installation went very smoothly and I love the finished result. The guys work hard - they were at my house almost the entire day, then were headed out to another job at 5pm! Also, Granite Store is a full service kitchen and bath showroom which unfortunately, I found out about after I had already selected and partially paid for my new floors...my mistake because their prices were lower than what I paid - ARGH! They also do kitchen cabinets (I had mine painted, so didn't need this, but I'm sure they would have been competitive or beat the competition). Obviously I can't say enough about how easily this ONE piece of my remodel went (which I can not say that about most everything else...). You won't be disappointed - try them and see!

Fortunately, we have found some really great vendors that have made it successful and even enjoyable. One of our great finds was Steve Saddler and his crew at Silver Creek Tile and Stone, who cut and installed four stone tops for a new wine room. We had been referred to them, and several other good stone cutters, by the Ceramic Tile Center in Santa Rosa, where we bought our marble slab. While Silver Creek's bid was comparable to the others, we were impressed by Steve Saddler's good questions, obvious expertise, candor and enthusiasm. The stone tops worked out great! The 2-inch mitred edges were flawless with the marble grain flowing nicely from the tops over the edges. Steve worked well with our builder to make the stone tops fit beautifully with the subsequent plaster work. Steve was fun to work with and he provided good design suggestions that made our project better. They deserve a solid five stars and my first Yelp review.

He was diligent in obtaining the side splashes and replacement drawer front (the contractor put the handle on incorrectly). Bertch sent the wrong cabinets on the initial delivery but quickly replaced them within two weeks. However, they sent the wrong drawer front 2 times before getting it right almost 2 months later.

The resulting cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and very well built. I love the self-closing hinges that automatically close the doors. Stan provided all of the trim around the cabinets which matches them perfectly. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the workmanship provided. You do not know if an item will be perfect for your home until the project is under way. We have had several items that needed to be returned and we were told it was over the return time frame, so we could not get a refund. We believe if you spend thousands of dollars on three bathroom remodels and a kitchen remodel and all the faucets, sinks, lighting etc. were purchased from Ferguson Home you should be able to return items and receive a refund. Obviously, this did not happen. Jeffrey the salesperson in the Santa Rosa retail store is awesome. However, customer service and returns are horrible.

Crooked in key areas (no spacers were used), used the wrong grout type for the kitchen (wet space) and didn't mix it properly so it was too dry- which was already leading to crumbling grout days later. It was a mess. We called out a few contractors to give us their opinions and quote a redo; Jason came out and was very professional and thorough in cataloging what we were not happy with, what should have been done differently, what materials should have been used. Jason (one of the owners) gave us a great quote and got us on their schedule immediately. Jose came out and did the tear-out, install and grout all the way through. He even offered to work over the weekend to get us ahead of schedule. He did a great job- taking as much time as each step required to give a perfect result vs rushing through it. Dave (the other owner) also supervised the install and made sure we were getting everything we wanted to be addressed before and afterward. Our kitchen looks amazing now that we used Antognini Tile. I wish I had known about them the first time around. Will use them if we ever tile anything else in our home. You can trust them to do a great job.
