Then....I meet Nurse Adeline! Nurse Adeline explained every piece of equipment and shared the medicines he was being given. She helped shift my Brother up in bed, helped the patient outside his room, and shut the door to ER area C that wasn't closed.... all in about 3-5 minutes. She was friendly, helpful, and observant! I'm happy he is being cared for by her and the other staff I met this morning in his room! Keep doing a great job hiring great people!!

It almost seemed like that once she realized I wasn't interested in all the Spa/ Sex gimmicks she had to offer, she was not as interested in providing quality care. I had been seeing her for my yearly gynecologist visits, but eventually found someone else for that. Supplements were hard to get that she had me taking. Constant changes. It was always something. Eventually Dr. Prewitt began administering the HRT pellets herself instead of having a nurse administer them. The process became less and less smooth. From bleeding out after receiving my pellets to pellets never dissolving after 3 months. All with her reassuring me that this was normal. 2 Christmases ago, I bled out through my bluejeans into another layer of a thick sweatshirt. I let her know. The bleeding had stopped on its own. But this still felt alarming. I had always signed up for Pellet Package in December, where you bought 3 and received one for free.. I did just that December of 2023. My first visit was March 24th, 2024. I received my pellets that day as usual. I left and had started home, when I noticed as I was getting on HWY 75 , that my skirt was wet. I realized I was bleeding from the Pellet area. This was around 3:15 or so. I called Dr. Prewitt's office right away. I was told to just go home and put an ice pack on and I should be fine. I called Dr. Prewitt again when I was almost home and was told the same thing. She did say I could come back to the office, but told me that by putting an ice pack on with pressure I would be fine. My drive was about 45 min home because of traffic. By the time I got home I was not fine. i was a bloody mess. I pulled into to the garage and ran into the house to the bathroom. Blood was all over me, floor clothes, running down the seat of my car and garage. floor. I realized then I was dizzy and in trouble. My husband came home. Quite scary to see the blood trail from the car, into the house and bathroom.This turned into an ambulance emergency visit and stitches. I called the office the next day. I spoke to the lady that helps with accounting. She said this had never happened before and would let Dr. Prewitt know. Dr Prewitt called back a day or so later. I did get an Apology from Dr. Prewitt. Thats it. I decided I had had enough. The trust was gone. I have since found a new HRT Dr.and have had zero problems receiving pellets. I also asked for the remaining balance back from the pellets I paid for with Dr. Prewitt. $900.00. Countless phone calls. Many excuses and then ignored. I was told at first the man that was over accounting was in the hospital and I would have to wait for Dr. Prewitt to talk with him. I waited. I called back a couple of weeks later. I was then told that the Office Frost Bank was frozen and they were not able to do anything at that time. Dr. Prewitt had called me herself and told me about the Frost Bank account being frozen. She did not like me calling the office. She then gave me her cell number and instructed me to call on that phone. I didn't . This felt crazy unprofessional. Weeks went by. I called again. Spoke with Jackie, her main receptionist over and over. Jackie has been with Dr. Prewitt for years. She was kind and always told me that this will be resolved very soon and she would let Dr. Prewitt know that I had called. By late summer, I was still calling. I called the office early one morning and Dr. Prewitt answered. At this point, she didn't remember who I was. She asked me if the reason I wanted my money back was that I was moving out of the area? And also said she had never received any messages from Jackie that I called. Yes, she threw Jackie under the bus. Unlike the prior doctor, she understood that side effects like death are valid reasons for not taking a medicine that lab tests suggest I should take. The downside, of course, is that thorough for one patient could mean late for the next, right? And, yeah, I didn't love the front desk person who got snippy because I showed up on time for my appointment, but not 15 min early for paperwork (that they didn't need because it's all in their system already from the prior doctor). It reminds me of the relative who's always an hour late -- why didn't the practice just tell me that my appointment was 15 minutes earlier than it really was?

I also like Dr Veerasami who I have seen a couple times when I needed a doctor same day and Graves wasn't available.

ALSO, wear a mask -- it's required in THEIR building, by law AND by request -- don't have a mask on and they're going to provide you one, or send you home if you refuse. It's just that simple. I've seen a lot of people complaining about insurance issues on here as well, and you can't blame your horrible insurance companies that didn't bill you correctly, as a mistake from the practice -- my partner and I both see the same doctor, they CODE us for exactly the same things, but due to my advanced stages of certain issues....they cover more for me than they do for my partner who's slightly more healthy. I have X number of issues, and the Insurance Company knows this -- if you're ever unsure of charges, call your HI Company first -- I can almost guarantee you, THEY messed up the billing and coding....not UPG. 99% of the time, this has been the case for me. I cannot say enough good things about UPG, and I credit them with basically saving my life. I was wasting away to nothingness and couldn't figure out why, and they finally found an answer for me, and now I'm feeling much better than I ever did before I went in to see them. What to Take Away: Don't blame OTHERS for your LACK of planning. This is basically 2022, the year of LEARNING HOW TO WAIT! We're all going to have to adjust, and re-learn patience. I initially visited her to have boils removed from my skin, and aside from one instance where the stitching on the back of my neck burst, I healed well from each procedure. I returned after a bike accident left my lip healing unevenly, expecting sutures as she had done previously. However, during her visit with me (which lasted a few minutes) she informed me that she wouldn't suture my lip when requested because she's not the type of doctor that would do that. Instead, she injected me with a steroid to aid healing. I wish she had spent more time and reviewed the potential side effects, particularly the noticeable discoloration it would cause on my face. When I called about the discoloration, I was told to email a photo for her review. She recommended a prescription to address the discoloration, explaining that this sometimes occurs. Otherwise, I was informed that it could take months for the color to return. I wish I had been advised about this potential outcome before receiving the injection. Transparency is essential when consulting a professional, as full disclosure is necessary for informed decision-making. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Kinston's Response: You came in to see us just over 2 months ago to help with your lip scar, which in your photo has healed well. a few weeks after that- you called our office to notify us of the hypopigmentation and we prescribed a cream to use with instructions to return to our Office in person to take a look which you did not. I do expect the pigmentation to improve over the next few weeks, but it would have been better for you to come in to see us as we asked you to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE (to Dr. Kingston's Reply) I didn't expect blatant dishonest; so, I will change the 2 stars to 1, since I can't select 0 or -5. To help Dr. Kingston's recall, I've checked my records. My initial appointment was on 6/26/24, and I called and followed up with an email about the issue on 8/12/24, which also indicates where the scar was (photo attached), which is also the date the cream was prescribed, with no follow up appointment. My initial scar was NEVER visible to someone looking at my face; so, I'm not sure what she's claiming looks like it healed. To her credit, it's possible that she's not being blatantly dishonest, but just never took note or was engaged enough to remember where the original scar on my lip actually was. Also, when you gave instructions for me to "come in": 1. Did we make an "appointment"? 2. If so, was I a no-show? 3. At what point between the email exchange (attached) and the prescription for a new cream (the same day)--to fix the discoloration the injection caused--did you notice that I no showed for the appointment you instructed me to "come in" for? 4. Is it standard for a doctor to prescribe medicine to a patient who refused to "come in" for an issue, as you instruct them to? There was never a suggestion or request for me to "come in." If so, I would have explicitly declined the offer. She does expect the hypopigmentation to heal "over the next few weeks." From when, 8/12/24??? It's still on my face as of 9/23/24. Nonetheless, I hope she's correct because it's extremely noticeable, especially in virtual meetings. Dr. Kingston, as a service provider myself, a call to your patient/former patient would have been more respectable, in my opinion.
