The waitress forgot to serve beer to a friend of mine but was humble and polite when reminded. So the reviews of this place are a little low and I think that is because of the fusion food on the menu. However, the biryani at this restaurant is by far my FAVORITE biryani in all of Boston! We pick it up at least a couple times every month. We tell them to make it spicy and omg it's on point! I will always continue to come back here just for that, it's so worth it. There was a lot of confusion with my order, apparently their system was acting weird. Secondly l don't know what screwed up software they have for billing since the total of my bill was totally wrong, when I told that the total is wrong they replied that their is some problem with the printer( a printer that charges u more than the bill... Certainly weird!!!) I would give them a benefit of doubt since this was just my first time there. I hope they fix their software/printer and pay more attention to take out orders too. Very disappointed ... read a few of the yelp reviews & wanted to give it a try. Service was totally not up to par. They were not busy at all & still service was not attentive. Nothing Indo-Chinese in the food flavor. Soups were salty in flavor & just broth with no vegetables & chicken. We didn't try any Indian food but the Chinese food was lacking in flavor. When we got done, no desert menu was offered. It felt like they just wanted us to get done & leave. Sad. I'm basing this review more on the quality of service then the food. I swung by to pick up take out, and I was asked to wait 20 minutes. I was patiently waiting for 30-40 minutes before I went back inside to ask about the status of my order. The reason I was outside was because seats were for customers only, and somehow it would be an issue to let me sit in a 10% full restaurant. Well it turns out the order was ready and no one came to give it to me so I would've been there for hours while the staff hung out at the bar if I hadn't gone back to find my food personally. I may be a take out customer but I still tip no matter what so I'd appreciate the courtesy of at least being remembered. I would understand if they were busy but only 2-3 tables were occupied, and they were fully staffed. read more

We stuck with the Indian food, and had an excellent meal. It started off a little odd with the Pav Bhaji, sort of like Italian Bruschetta except pureed and served with grilled dinner rolls. There was lots of topping though, so we ordered a garlic Nan, and that was the right combination: fresh Nan, garlic, and tomato sauce - yum. We also ordered Lamb Vindaloo which was excellent, but not a classic Vindaloo. No vinegar, no potato. More of a spicy lamb Marsalla - very savory and spicy. Saag Chana was very rich and tasty spinach with chick peas. And Malabar fish was fresh fish fillet chunks in a creamy, rich curry sauce. All three dishes were very tasty and well prepared. I ordered all vegetarian food - Baby corn manchurian, egg plant in garlic sauce and vada pav. I ate a serving of Vada Pav, half serving of manchurian and very little egg plant. My stomach started feeling weird and I burped a lot and my night was terrible because of diarrhea. The highly price food severely lacked quality and food standards. This was a good place. First, let me start with the positives. The service was excellent. When we went it was relatively quiet. The portions were good size. The overall value was really really good. We had the Rogan Josh and the palak (spinach) with chicken. The chicken was super overcooked to the point of being dry which was weird because it was in creamy spinach. It felt like maybe they just had the creamed spinach prepared and then added whatever (chicken, chick peas or paneer) depending on the order. This was a stop-in on a Sunday night with a double date, and wow. We ordered pretty standard fare, and they said they were out of lamb. I ordered a beef dish. 20 minutes later, they said they were out of beef. I ordered kung pao chicken, in the hopes they had chicken. When the server finally came back with food, it went to one person while the rest of us waited for our dishes (10 mins later). No apologies for that. The kung pao chicken I ordered was definitely not kung pao, there weren't any cashews and tasted like basic sweet and sour. I asked them nicely to replace it, but she came back with a ramekin of cashews and used her bare hand (!!!) to sprinkle them on the dish. They tried charging us for brown rice despite them bringing white rice because they ran out of rice (!). On the plus side, the hot and sour soup was great. read more

Umm it's ok. I am always at a lost why Boston lacks great desi food. Even NC has several delicious spots in small towns-what's up Boston. The worst dine-in experience I had since moving to Boston!! 8.30 pm: I and 3 other friends enter. Our order for appetizers is taken with no information about the closing time/ last orders etc. 9.20 pm: Appetizers still not served! We asked about ordering for the main course when the server said that the kitchen was already closed by 9.10 pm. Only one of the two starters we ordered is served. 9.25 pm: The owner comes to our table and "scolds" us for only ordering starters the first time around and says he is doing a favor on us by taking in our order this late. Still no signs of the 2nd appetizer! 10 pm: We eat our main course hastily! Initially, they even charged us for the second appetizer but later corrected it! We order dishes one after other so that to know when to stop either when we are full or we do not like food a lot. We ordered chicken tikka, chicken chilli garlic noodles and chicken biryani. Tikka could be little spicier but chutney made up to it. Hakka noodles was spicy as indicated in menu and we liked it. The best was our last order, chicken biryani. It had the required garam masala and aroma as required. Being from Hyderabad in India, i have good sense of biryani and so i would categorize this more towards chicken pulav, but it was very tasty. One improvement area would be for the server to know the menu dishes better. Overall, we will come back again. The food made our evening. read more

I've been wanted to come to this place since the day I came to the city and finally gave it a try today for lunch. Unfortunately it was not as good as I thought it would be. The samosas tasted like the frozen ones you could buy from Trader Joe's and the yellow lentils were quite bland. Although the food was not completely horrible, the service is what bumps this place down to 2 stars. The waiter seemed inattentive, mumbled when he talked, and was generally an unfriendly person. A friend had a birthday n his wife planned a surprise party with couple of friends here. There was a reservation but we ended up waiting 45 minutes past the reservation time! (After driving from Hartford)... Uff! It was a cold night n no proper waiting lounge. Finally we got seated n everybody were super hungry, started ordering soup, appetizers! Menu is vast and has many things to choose from! We got hot n sour soup, manchow soup, vada pav, veg steam momos, paneer lollipops, bhel puri, masala papads, chilli garlic noodles, n Mumbai style spicy fried rice! Food tasted excellent loved everything(five stars alone for food). The staff serving were super busy n we had to wait for our turn to address them for any help! only thing dint like here was the waiting n seating was not comfortable with kids. The tables organized was just not working! Irritated everyone but dint have any other option!
