Chicken Tikka Marsala with rice $7.50 and mango lassi $3.00
    Diane H.

Not bad for indian food smack dab in the middle of dtx/south station. I did not get the combo the first time I went, i just opted for the chicken tikka masala with white rice and it was pretty good. I do wish the curry was more thick but it seems to be a trend to be thin. My meal was 7.50 and with a mango lassi included it was $10.50. The mango lassi/ other drinks are in the fridge to the left. The line goes very quick. Some seating if you get here early... the spice level was higher than mild so that got me sweatin'~ They take card which I like. The chicken was sort of dry ..but then some piece weren't..I would definitely return when I crave indian. I cannot even compare this against the food truck in dewey square because it's different than that.

D'guru is located in downtown Boston. I'd say on of the only good Indian take out place you'd find in downtown. I usually go for a non vegeterian combo.

    Chicken Tikka, veggies, and Naan.

I wouldn't go there again. My meal was very oily, never had an Indian food like that before. It was a big serving.

    Chicken combo. So good!!

Cafe Bonjour - Strawberry and banana crepe

The strawberries and banana balanced it out so it didn't feel too heavy. Portion size was solid--borderline dessert-for-breakfast, but in a good way. Coffee was decent, nothing crazy. Place is small and gets packed, so expect a wait. Overall: great spot if you want something sweet and indulgent for brunch.

I stopped by in the early afternoon this past Monday with my top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality. This establishment is pretty close to a prior Airbnb we've stayed at and is in a neighborhood we've spent a solid amount of time in, so it's been off and on our radar for a few years. I'm pretty sure we attempted to stop by on an earlier trip but it was too busy - a tribute to the restaurant for sure. Two elements stood out to me almost immediately when we walked in, one good, one bad. On a positive note, the service was excellent - that came across in waves. This is a busy restaurant in a tourist area, and nine out of 10 times, the hospitality would suffer as a result. Not here; we were warmly received as soon as we walked in and were consistently attended to throughout our visit. Top notch in that regard. Con? Personal preference on my end, it just felt kind of grimy in there, like it had taken on the personality of its neighborhood, which is in my opinion not the best and has a homeless issue. There's definitely some personality in there - some gorgeous wood paneling and whatnot - but it was a little too chaotic/claustrophobic for me. I think there's a way they could upgrade the interior without compromising the uniqueness of Cafe Bonjour. I was at the part of our mini-vacation where I didn't necessarily have regrets over my food naughtiness, but my palate definitely needed some legitimate nourishment. I opted for the Signature Blueberry Bowl,, which predictably featured a great many blueberries, and was essentially an acai bowl interpretation with bananas and peanut butter (similar to the Acai Power Bowl at Playa Bowls). It was fine - good portion for what it was. I think they should have made it more...solid, if that makes sense. Like make the blended blueberry aspect quasi frozen so it had more substance to it. Without doing so, it just seemed too liquidy and harder to eat as a result. It was also a little bland and could have used an additional ingredient or two, and the hunks of peanut butter were difficult to blend into the bowl, so sometimes you'd end up inadvertently getting nothing but a mouthful of peanut butter. Not the best, but also probably not their biggest menu selling point. For what it's worth, my chum loved her dish (I think she got the Bennies) and enjoyed her time here immensely. This is one I'd like a do-over on and would be more than willing to come back with a better appetite and revisit - I don't know that my opinions on the vibe/atmosphere are going to change (though maybe some of that is dependent on the weather and this place really shines when the sun is out), but I probably didn't get the best that Cafe Bonjour has to offer.

For the food, we got the tuna kimbap, Seoul toppoki, and bulgogi hot pot for two. Everything was SO good. The ingredients were fresh and the food was flavorful (sweet from the bulgogi, savory from the mushrooms, spicy from the toppoki sauce, salty from the tuna, and sour from the pickled vegetables). The price for the portion size was a great value and we ended the night feeling very full and even had to pack up an entire container of the hotpot for two that we didn't finish. Overall, we had a great time and I can't wait to come back again. This might be my new favorite Korean food spot in the Boston area.

This was our second time ordering delivery from Seoul Topokki. We remembered it being really good…read morethe first time, so we went for round two. We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

The restaurant is a decent size and I think they'd be able to accommodate larger parties with no issue. Only thing is, they don't do reservations & only walk-ins. We visited before the kitchen closed & ordered the following dishes: - Jahunger noodles - Meefen noodles - Kavap (lamb kebab skewers) - Hand-made Lamb Dumpling (7) - Not Your Average Honey Cake I had to try the Jahunger noodles again! When I ordered this for takeout, I really enjoyed the flavor but was skeptical about it because I couldn't believe how small the portion was... or if I got skimped because it was a delivery order? I feel like I did get a slightly bigger portion dining in vs. takeout but that could just be me! Anyways, I loved the chewiness of the noodles & the spice! The spice is subtle & hits you at the end of each bite. The Meefen noodles were my favorite. We were warned by our server that this was a spicier dish but luckily, we LOVE spicy. Yeah, it's definitely more spicy than anything else we ordered but I didn't find it to be that spicy. LOVED THE FLAVOR for this dish! I liked that it was spicy but didn't have a bitter note like how Szechuan mala dishes can be with the peppercorn. The sauce tasted like it was made with chili bean sauce & sweet bean paste. Enjoyed the noodles a lot too! Super bouncy and very similar to udon noodles. The kavap lamb skewer kebabs were cooked well. Didn't taste gamey at all & felt like they were seasoned well. Very strong in cumin flavor. The hand-made lamb dumplings was a dish I personally could do without. I don't typically like when dumplings are wrapped this way and when we received this dish, the dumplings were cold. I don't enjoy cold food, plus the filling was very bland. Lastly, we had the Not Your Average Honey Cake for dessert. This was so good! I'm honestly not even a cake person usually but after seeing so many great reviews about it, I had to try it. It's not too sweet & was perfectly moist. Overall, the food was more or less solid! I think next time I won't be ordering appetizers... I feel like they're expensive for what you get here unfortunately & not worth it. $15 for 3 tiny lamb skewers is insane & $13 for lamb dumplings that were cold and bland. I did enjoy the noodle dishes & the honey cake though! We don't mind prices of food if the dishes are good. The appetizers are not worth it, in my opinion. Service: It was meh. My guess is our server's name is Elden, as noted on the receipt? He was a taller individual who just looked like he didn't want to be there. Originally, he had us wait a few minutes to prep the table and when he brought us to the table, it had just been cleaned. I go to sit down & immediately he goes "No!", with no explanation for why. He proceeded to move all the tables around, remove the extra chairs aggressively, and place the utensils and napkins. Throughout the meal, he was just staring at us to see if we had finished or were finishing up. Felt super rushed essentially. I understand we came close to kitchen close time but we ordered quickly & left before restaurant closing time. I thought it was interesting though because many of the tables around us arrived and ordered just before us or a minute after us & by the time we left, people were still eating... Lots of attitude & many of our interactions with him (for water, etc), he was nonverbal but his face was loud! Very passive aggressive from start to finish. So, I didn't particularly like that. And not to mention, we paid for the bill while we were still eating & after he took the bill and tip (20% cash), he was much happier + nicer to us... too funny. Overall rating: Food- 3.8-4/5 Service- 1/5 Likely won't be back for a while.

The menu is entirely online but food came out quickly after we ordered. Dishes we got: - beef laghman: spiced well and chewy noodles!
