If you don't know about this place, you need to know about it! I love the Grapevine! The food here…read moreis always so good and always on point. I always get the same thing when I go, but next time I will have to venture out because the food it was just so good when I I first started with the crabcakes, I will say the crabcakes did not come as I expected, but they were still very good. I was expecting more of a flatter crabcake, but because they were fried, it still held up to my expectation then the salad came out and the salad was very good. I also ordered a lemon berry martini and it was very good. Also, I love the sugar rim on the glass. And finally, I ordered the grilled catfish with the crawfish, cornbread and mashed potatoes and green beans and it was amazing. Our waiter always recommends the crawfish cornbread with the grilled fish, and it was literally the best thing that I've gotten. The service was amazing. Our waiter was very patient with us and took the time to explain any questions that we had. I will say when I went to the Grapevine this time it was a little darker in there than normal, which was a little concerning because I could not see the menu as well as I normally can so being that it was dark it was kinda hard to read the menu and eat our food too . For dessert I decided to get the white chocolate bread pudding and it was so hot and good. It was fresh. It was good. It wasn't too sweet it was just right overall I give this place a 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back sooner than I think.

The fried green tomatoes were beautifully burdened by crab meat and remoulade. The bread pudding was spectacular - just sumptuous. The next time I'm in Donaldsonville, I will make sure to drop by. Bonus: Bo and Grace's shop was outside (Sinners).

They don't have a drive-through so I had to go inside. Being brand new, everything was nice and clean, but I was surprised that they didn't have more patrons. It was pretty obvious that the staff was not totally up to speed just yet; the light kitchen staff looked busy:, on the order side of the counter there were four or five employees standing around doing nothing; two ladies on the pick up side handled my entire order. The lady tried hard to make a milkshake for me, and it did taste good, but it was very thin. The burger was very good, but the Cajun fries were over seasoned (which is saying a lot, since I grew up around here and like things really spiced up) and soggy. I ate about half the fries, and after finishing the burger, it felt very heavy in my belly all night long. Maybe in a couple months I'll give them another try, but I'll be sure to tell them to make the fries extra crispy. I gave them one extra star for not using Styrofoam.

Several QR codes to sign up for rewards and leave a review, which is fine, and easy to complete, but sometimes it's good to just enjoy a good biscuit. I had the vicious. Amazing. So we are visiting this area for the weekend and got a recommendation to eat here for breakfast…read more We get there about 9:30 or so and know it will probably be busy. We were not wrong, the line was to the door. The slogans on the walls and everything in the restaurant was neat and well organized. I read the two comments on the chalk board and my expectation for high quality food increased significantly. Sadly, that would be it. Two registers looked available, but only one was working. The guy taking orders seemed new and friendly. Unfortunately, his conversation tended to move away from taking orders and trying to make small talk with the customers. This made waiting in line borderline intolerable, especially with the child behind me jumping up and down on the wall leading to the register (thank goodness one of the parents finally made her stop). Once at the register, it seemed that the guy was new (or newer) and struggled with the orders a little bit. After repeating my order a few times, he got it. We went to the "Jam Bar" for coffee and water. The sweetener was almost out, there was no cream and one urn was out (the lady was prepping the empty urn for new coffee). I commented about the cream, but was completely ignored by the employee. Another employee came up and I asked her about the cream. She pointed at the 4-5 single serve creamers there and said that was it. I asked about the metal pitcher and she said, "Oh yeah, that has some too." I told her it was empty. She looked confused and then picked it up and left. So, I just served old coffee in my cup that I had to go find since no one offered it to me ($3.50/cup, I would have assumed it would be pristine, but not so much and no one seemed concerned). Now to the meal: I ordered the Vicious Benny and Old School Breakfast. The Vicious Benny was mediocre at best. The ham and hollandaise were good, but the biscuit was grainy and the over easy egg was runny and a little slimy. And there wasn't a whole lot of taste to the meal. The OS Breakfast was much better, but still not a lot of flavor. The bacon was pretty good and flavorful. The eggs and potatoes were cooked well, just no seasoning. Overall, such a sad experience. Maybe my expectations were too high based on what I saw and the crowd when I went into the restaurant.

Tonight ordered a Jalapeño melt, never had it before and it was extremely delicious. It didn't disappoint for sure. The jalapeños were not hot or spicy but gave a great flavor. The service was extremely friendly and quick to get our food out tonight. The atmosphere was quiet as there wasn't many people in the restaurant at the time we were there. I will call that accurate…read more Although I must say the remodel/redecoration of this location makes it a bit more inviting than it used to be. The counter service is fast and friendly, the menu is vast, with a LOT of variety - sandwiches, po-boys, comfort food, seafood, salads, pizza - something for everyone. And the food is good. Not the best you've ever had, but it's good. We came here this time specifically for the fried mushrooms. They are really good. Everything else was okay. The fried fish was good - nicely breaded, mild catfish (no muddy taste), and good crispy fries. The shrimp remoulade salad is kind of puzzling, though. Small, unseasoned boiled shrimp on a pile of lettuce. After being boiled with no seasoning, the shrimp are then heavily coated with red pepper (or maybe Cajun seasoning). And the remoulade sauce is in small condiment cups on the side - barely enough to dress the salad. But most of the food here is pretty good (the burgers are massive), and most plates come with enough for some extra to take home. It's not a place we come to often, but it is always on our list of possibilities.
