Employees are lazy and slow and my order was wrong. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

I have tried to get food from this Firehouse Subs location twice now, and both times, I have walked away with nothing due to poor service and mismanagement. The most recent issue happened when I placed an order through the app for four sandwiches totaling $56.35. When I arrived to pick them up, I was told they didn't have white bread or roast beef, meaning they couldn't even make the sandwiches I ordered. I asked to cancel the order, but the employees said they couldn't do it in-store--I had to cancel through the app. However, the app directed me to cancel in-store, leaving me in an endless loop with no resolution. I ended up reordering at another location and figured I'd call the next day to request a refund. When I did, the manager was incredibly rude. She repeatedly told me to "calm down"--even though I was speaking normally and politely--and then abruptly hung up on me. Instead of helping, she refused to process the refund and vaguely suggested I could "come in and get a sandwich," completely ignoring the fact that I had already purchased food elsewhere. This wasn't the first bad experience. Two weeks ago, I arrived at 8:30 PM (they close at 9), but the workers told me they were done for the night and wouldn't let me order. So now, I've tried to get food from this location twice and still haven't received anything--just a wasted trip and frustration both times. Between the lack of customer service, rude management, and overall incompetence, I won't be returning to this location. I was very appreciative of the managers kindness after a misunderstanding with an order pick up from this firehouse sub. I had ordered online sandwiches, two bags of chips and two bottles of drink. I sent my husband to get the order and when he came back, the only thing in the bag were the sandwiches even though the chips and drinks were clearly marked on the receipt. When I called the store, the first young man was confused as to why we didn't grab the chips and drinks ourselves as apparently those are self serve items my husband was confused as to why the order wasn't prepared as per the receipt with all items included at the pick up station where the order was marked with our name. He stated "so they're just gonna trust me to grab whatever chips and drinks I want and leave? I guess the store personnel didn't pay him much mimd when he came in and grabbed our order. Anyway, I asked if it was possible to get partial refund for the drinks and chips and I was handed off to another young man who gladly took my credit card information and told me the items have been credited. Apologies for the confusion on both sides I have to admit, I was surprised as I was already preparing for an argument in my head ! I know, everybody knows the feeling of being disappointed that you didn't get the food or drink item that you were expecting. Why oh why does New Orleans not have a Firehouse Subs yet? That my friends is the question. I had my first experience there on 12-30-2016 and I am totally digging this place. We had just worked up an appetite walking around the Tanger Outlet Mall and Cabela's and were looking for something very casual, as we had our 4 year old in son in tow. Firehouse subs menu includes, a kids menu, subs under 500 calories, salads under 500 calories, cold subs, hot subs and hot specialty subs. Do yourself a huge favor and go right for the hot specialty subs. These overstuffed behemoths, especially the large, are more than enough for 2 people to share. We split the steak and cheese and I could not have been happier, as this sandwich was the real deal. Kudos to the friendly staff for walking the floor and engaging their customers in friendly banter. I also love the cool Coke freestyle machine but what truly impressed me, aside from that ridiculously delicious sandwich was the charitable contributions they make to local first responders. read more

I stopped by the Gonzales LA location for Firehouse Subs on LA Highway 30 and Interstate 10 for lunch today. For me, the must have is the Spicy Cajun Chicken on wheat bread. The jalapeños are the best in this selection and the bread fresh. I've eaten In Covington, Baton Rouge, Prairieville, and here. Never been disappointed in this sandwich. They are busy and the service is great. A variety of age groups can be found here. read more

My go too quick lunch location. Always friendly and very hard working staff. Subs are consistent and ingredients are fresh.

This was my second time trying Firehouse and it was a total disappointment both times. Today I went in and made it real simple: ham and turkey on white, with provolone and mayo, cold. Couldn't make it any easier, right? Well, when I got home there was no turkey. Too many other sub places in the area to give this place any more of my $. read more

Very poor customer service recovery. Ordered online three sandwiches and a drink. Two were completely wrong and no drink. Wasn't even acknowledged when I walked in. So I get home and they were wrong, called to the store all the guy said was okay. Drove back up the (10-15 minute drive both ways twice). Again not acknowledged when I walked it. I brought back the sandwiches and handed them to the guy he asked if I'd just called and he handed me a cup. Didn't let me know that they were out of dr. pepper... so I go to check the sandwiches before I left the same guy asked lightly if everything was good and walked off. I'm not really sure when firehouse stopped being so awesome. Saying 'welcome to fire house' when you walked in, or going above and beyond with making sure every order went out with perfection. Probably will not order from this location and may try the location in Prairieville. Sandwiches weren't very good either which sucks because they are one of my favorite places to get good subs. read more

First time in this location in Gonzales, LA...I think it has been open about a year...had tried a Firehouse Subs up in Bossier City, LA back around Christmas of 2015 and liked it... So when the family was looking to "catch as catch can" for supper one Sunday recommended we give this location a try...Ordered online (took my dumbass a few minutes to figure it out...many thanks to my daughter for helping with that), paid online then hopped in my BAD to run down and pick up the order... Ordered 4 completely different sammiches (Italian, Turkey Bacon Ranch, Steak & Cheese and the Firehouse Hero) and everybody was more than pleased. Perfect size, well packed with both meat and veggies...damn tasty and satisfying! The store is located down from the Quaker Steak and right next to Mooyah's on Cabela's Parkway off the Hwy 30 exit in Gonzales, LA...store is clean and roomy and the staff was friendly and prompt... All in all I like this place after having 2 great experiences at opposite ends of LA and just need to start remembering they should be the #1 option... Food is phenomenal the staff at this particular location seemed a little confused yet they were trying to rush my order and and I was happy with the time it took to get our food. My choice was the firehouse salad it's the bomb and they let you special order what you want and it so I really love that it's well worth the price. read more

My first time to a Firehouse sub, the steak and cheese was tasty, it was piled high with meat, peppers and mushrooms. The bread was a little lacking in that it was a not the freshest. The price was reasonable it is a worthy choice against the other big sub chains. read more

Only reason this location gets one star is Yelp won't allow a minus score. We were in Hotel directly across the street and had groom and groomsmen getting ready for wedding. Tried to set up a single party tray for lunches for the wedding party the night before and was told to get back with them the next morning. They refused to fix the single basic party tray when we contacted them as directed. This location is very poorly run and totally unaccommodating. read more

I USED to be a frequent patron. Good sandwiches - poor management. I placed an order for a sandwich tray online at 8am and called as soon as they opened (10:30 am) to verify that it would be ready at 11:30. The manager said that the order was for tomorrow (I did not realize they did not do same day trays). I told him that I needed it today and he said that he could NOT do it because he had four other catering orders. REALLY??? One tray is probably the equivalent of 5 large sandwiches sliced up on a tray... Literally five walk-in customers (minus the individual cash register transaction and individual wrapping of the sandwiches). Would they have turned me away if I had showed up? I think NOT. The store lost an $80 order and my future business. However, the Subway at the Tanger Outlet was happy to make the tray for me and did a fantastic job. Subway has excellent customer service. read more
