I got an iced latte, and Nate got an iced vanilla latte. Their coffee is air roasted, which apparently means it's less acidic. The people working in the truck were friendly and very kind. Our drinks were made quickly and I loved the compostable cups and straws! I'd never seen those before and thought they were very cool. The latte mostly tasted like oat milk to me, without much coffee/espresso flavor. It was good but not quite what I'm used to for a latte. I'd definitely try some of their other drinks in the future. They were also selling bags of coffee and I liked the Star Wars themes!

What caught my eye initially were the fun names for their different blends. As a Star Wars fan myself, I couldn't help but appreciate the clever play on words they use in their marketing. I also like that they offer a subscription in a reusable canister either in one or 2 pound sizes. Three cheers for sustainability! They also have been known to offer hot chocolate mixes, and are growing their wholesale business becoming the supplier for several locations around Grand Rapids. Ed, the roaster and coffee connoisseur extraordinaire is knowledgeable friendly and will also deliver your order for a minor delivery charge. Overall, everything was solid. The Qishr was good, though I think it could have used a bit more kick. Aside from that, the coffee was excellent and the rest of what we tried did not disappoint. The Coffee Crew GR is a small batch coffee company in Comstock Park that employs adults with disabilities, and it's woman owned! Two things that you don't see very often, which is amazing in and of itself. Not only do they roast their own coffee (which is delicious, by the way), they also bake pastries in house! Their mini apple pies were delicious; my kids and my dad wolfed them right down. Per the flyer I grabbed on my way out: "We are owned and operated by a group of special needs young adults, as a for-profit effort to demonstrate the capabilities of these workers." Wholly agreed, and everyone should go and support if you ever pass by!
