This place is such a nice not so little find. It's part coffee shop, part nut and specialty goods store, with the café on one side and the retail shop on the other, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. We had a matcha latte and the vegan chocolate muffin, and both were really good, well made, and satisfying without feeling heavy. Afterward, we spent some time shopping around the store and browsing their goods, which was just as enjoyable as the coffee itself. Another cool thing is that you can reserve a conference room to get some work done or have meetings in. Oh and they have a pretty big parking lot for a Grand Rapids coffee shop! After seeing Yelp photos of one of my friends', I decided to check out Ferris! Super cool spot with a retail store, coffee shop, training center, and private rooms to rent out. The barista was super friendly and welcoming too! I ordered an iced matcha and added the orange blossom syrup. So tasty! Giving this gem a five out of five. I was meeting someone here and when the uber brought me to a more industrial place, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I trusted her suggestion. When I entered I walked into a small coffee shop, but it also had a wide variety of nuts and snacks you could purchase. Once I looked at the menu I knew what I was going to get: a peanut butter chocolate latte with almond milk and a bagel. The location has wifi, so if you're looking to work while you're here, you can get some work done. The staff was pleasant. Everything came out pretty quickly and the latte was beyond delicious! The bagel was hot and good. I wound up purchasing some nuts and coffee to bring back as gifts for family. I would recommend Ferris Coffee & Nut and will come back if I'm in the area! read more

I purchased a container of Raw Major Mango Mix 9 oz. from D&W Fresh Market in Grand Haven recently. When opening the container 2 bugs flew out of the container. I killed the bugs and later found out they were Indian-Meal Moths. I kept the container and double bagged it as I observed a nest within the mix. I wrote the company and told them of the issue and told them I had the container. I thought I would help Ferris Coffee & Nut out with there evaluation and Corrective Actions. I also asked them several questions pertaining to their Quality Assurance program including their corrective action process. I received a reply 2 days later. They requested pictures of the container and the best buy date stamped on the container witch I supplied promptly. I also supplied them with the lot number knowing that should help them out with their evaluation. 3 days passed without a reply so I wrote them again and questioned if they received my information and told them again that the contaminated container was available for their evaluation. I also asked them about their corrective action program and if they used the standard 8D process. 2 more days passed and they confirmed they received my information, they also apologized for not getting back with me sooner as they were out of the office. No answers were provided pertaining to an evaluation or any corrective actions taken. After 9 days of no actions taken I assumed they weren't too interested others getting contaminated products. Personally I won't be purchasing any more of their products and I want others to be aware so they don't have a similar bad experience like I had. read more

This place is local and does their own production of coffee. The shop is located at the actual warehouse as well. My sister took me here when I visited and it was a cool place. Every Christmas we get the Christmas tree pretzels, dark chocolate peppermint pretzels, and mix & mingle from Ferris. I was disappointed to read that these products now contain bioengineered food ingredients. I expected a higher standard of quality from this local company. read more

I've had a few of their smaller snack packs from Frank's Market, so I decided to place a larger order from their website. Total disaster. Everything that arrived was stale. It's as if they don't know "first in, first out" shipping principles. I called the customer service team at Ferris Coffee and received some really rude treatment. I'll never do an online order again. Despite what I read here as many glowing remarks, my experience was exactly the opposite. This company has no idea how to run a shipping department. read more

Ferris Coffee & Nut Co. is one of those spots that I want to tell everyone about yet also keep a secret because it's definitely a hidden gem. Unfortunately the other cafe locations in Grand Rapids have closed, but their headquarters houses a large cafe as well, with varied seating and decent wifi to get some work done while enjoying a delicious beverage! They also have conference rooms that you can rent if you need a space, which is so handy in this more remote work atmosphere. When I visited last month, I ordered a specialty PB cup latte with oat milk. I loved the flavor of the latte - definitely reminded me of a peanut butter cup. It was an indulgent treat! I was a little surprised by the actual peanuts at the bottom of my cup, but I was able to avoid drinking them. Nothing wrong with it, just unexpected. The baristas were super friendly and kind, and gave me recommendations on what to order and if it would be good with oat milk. I loved looking at the items they have for sale in their retail area, including lots of great snacks, nuts, chocolates, and dried fruits! They have a great selection of ready made gift baskets - such a great idea for the holidays! They also sell some coffee making equipment and accessories like Chemex carafes, filters, and coffee bean grinders. The space is open and bright, and I really enjoyed working there for an afternoon. There's plenty of free parking in their lot, which is so nice. To find the cafe, just look for the tall brick facade - the entrance is just underneath there. I encourage you to seek this place out next time you're looking for a place to relax or get some work done. read more

How could you not love this place?!? It has lots of coffee, candy, and nuts! Three of the 5 basic food groups! Nothing in there is outrageously priced which is nice. I ordered a nitro cold brew (always on tap) and it was super cold and creamy. They've got all sorts of different nut combinations with different flavor and preparation combos as well as gummies, dried fruit, etc. Yes, like any great coffee shop, there were baked goods. I got a pack of the lavender coconut toasted almonds. YUM! Go check this place out! read more

Sea Foam is a candy that is near extinct.....I use to buy it in bulk at Meijer and then they did away with the bulk candy. So, for many years I have only been able to enjoy it while shopping at a candy store in downtown Holland, Mi. I was shocked a few days ago when I got a package from Ferris coffee & Nut Company with two containers of sea foam, and a container of Malt Balls. Since my birthday is coming up Sat. and Fathers Day is is Sunday I believe my daughter found me the perfect presents and it is the best sea foam I've ever eaten....yeah, I started early!!!
