If there's one thing about me, it's that I'm going to check out every new coffee shop. Nate and I stopped in to Quickwater Coffee recently for a drink and to see the space. It's a tiny space, way smaller than I expected, but bright with natural light and a couple of comfy couches. It's located in a new apartment building in Creston, so I expect it'll be pretty busy, like it was when we stopped by. Prices were average, $5-$6 for lattes etc. I got the red velvet latte and Nate got a cappuccino. They asked me for my name, but not Nate's, which was weird. I will shout it from the rooftops forever and ever: Baristas should always ask for your name when taking your order to avoid confusion when drinks are coming out!! Anyway, our drinks came out and were tasty. The red velvet latte had most of the flavor at the bottom which made it a bit unbalanced, but I still enjoyed it. The only food items I saw were a few pastries/cookies in a case, hopefully they can add some other food in the future. This isn't going to be a go-to stop for me, just due to the small space and limited menu, but I'm glad we checked it out and it's a good addition to the area.

Came in on a Sunday morning and i think we were the first of the day! Very quiet in there. Would make for a good study location. Major downside- only 3-4 small food options. Would be really cool for them to pair with a local bakery and offer a little bit more, especially as it seems set up for a study cafe. Barista was nice, nothing specific to note there. The cafe is clean and spacious. There were 2 tables outside. It is in a lobby of an apartment complex so I would assume some days are busier. There is a public restroom. The coffee- so we are latte people. They had a few different options for house made syrup. My husband is a huge cafe miel snob so he ordered this. He thought it was ok- it is noticeable that it is not a "true" cafe miel- honey, cinnamon and vanilla syrup. The syrup definitely had a cinnamon and vanilla flavor to me and it was tasty, but I would suggest ordering something else if you love a true miel. It also did not have cinnamon on top which was a real bummer to him. The cafe dolce syrup was good! It was described as a caramel with brown sugar instead of white sugar and I felt that was very accurate to how it tasted. They did have both almond and oatmilk as alternatives. Quickwater definitely has potential, just a few minor things that could be improved upon

Friendly staff, excellent carmel latte! Little pricey for the size of the latte, but quality coffee!

This cafe is in the lobby of an apartment complex, so it is spacious and open-concept.

Honestly, I am not a huge sandwich person, but if I heard a sandwich shop is good, I'll try it. The sandwich was cut in half and had their Michigan Turkey, bacon, avocado, and other veggies that you can read in their menu. The turkey was really delicious - like, really, REALLY delicious. It was so flavorful and soft. And the veggies like avocado, tomatoes, and lettuce tasted so fresh. I got it with sourdough bread, which was really good. It was a bit tough to put the whole sandwich in your mouth because of the crusty crusts (lol), so I just resorted to eating it with a fork and a knife (very proper). The food came out rather quickly, and the service was very sweet, friendly and down to earth. Ambience was great! Casual and friendly. There is street parking - usually, it's not too difficult to find parking around this area. But maybe I just get lucky, I don't know. If it's a good day, you can walk around and enjoy the scene with the river and park!
