The ube syrup they use is high quality, as a Filipino American I approve. As an American latte snob I approve of the flavors in the egg nog. New location alert! Morning Ritual has moved from the west side to the heart of downtown, at the corner of Lyon & Ionia. The new space is way bigger and brighter, with lots of natural light and space to hang out, get some work done, and enjoy a unique beverage + vegan breakfast sandwich! They also have a lot of fun art everywhere, as well as plenty of cute and irreverent items for sale. Loved the Snoopy stuff! Nate and I stopped in recently to get something from their summer menu - I tried the reaper: vegan caramel syrup, cream soda, espresso, and oat milk marshmallow vanilla cold foam. Nate ordered the sacred heart: lemon syrup, tonic, matcha, oatmilk marshmallow vanilla cold foam, with a dried lemon garnish. Phew! They were both very tasty, smooth and not too sweet. I always enjoy the opportunity to try something unique, and Morning Ritual has always provided that. Also, major points for taking our names for our drinks! Hearing "oat milk latte" and then seeing someone else take your drink is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to coffee shops. It's such a small thing that can make such a big difference and yes I will continue to write about this in every coffee shop review ever, lol. It looks like the space will serve as a music venue, and their sign also mentioned a photobooth, which wasn't there when we visited, so I'm excited to see what they will offer to the community as they continue to bloom in this new location. I went to Morning Ritual for the first time after they opened in their new location. The space is incredibly open with lots of natural light, cool art, and even a customized photo booth. I've never been a coffee drinker but wanted to try getting into matcha. I decided to try the ube matcha cold foam latte with oat milk and vanilla. It was honestly one of my favorite drinks I've had! The ube was really nice and the drink itself wasn't too sweet nor heavy. They receive baked goods from Nantucket Bakery so you know they'll be good. The staff is always really friendly and pretty fashionable as well. I know they recently hosted a show with some great local bands so I hope they continue! I would definitely recommend coming here but taking the DASH, scooters, or walking may be your best bet on a busy day. read more

the witchiest coffee shop on this side of the Mississippi for sure. It is handicap accessible aswell. Morning ritual truly is something special in our backyard. The homemade syrups, the branding, the seasonal specials and the overall aesthetic keeps me coming in frequently. They have done both a tarot and zodiac beverage series throughout the years. I have throughly enjoyed both. The space itself is small when you walk in, but there is plenty of cozy space upstairs to work. Be aware this building is old, and sound does carry throughout. Very queer friendly and queer owned. They are also known for the events they host, which are always a joy to attend. My favorite is an iced violet latte with oat or coconut milk. If they ever get their mocha PB cold foam latte back I will cry. I love this spot, forever. read more

As a coffee lover in search for a new coffee place to try these pictures deceived me. Creepy dolls inside, reepers on the wall, honestly gave creepy, demonic vibes. Made me very uncomfortable. Coffee wasn't great either. Ordered a iced latte with oatmilk and cold foam..$9!!! Starbucks is literally better priced at this point. Cold foam was warm, barista was not enthusiastic...didn't even smile. They were completely out of all pastries or baked goods. My friend who was with me ordered a Matcha and asked for oatmilk I think and they gave her almond...and she is very allergic!! 0/10 would NOT recommend ESPECIALLY if you are Christian/spiritual.... very uncomfortable in there...felt demonic in a way. Here's why you should go: 1) Food and Drink: The coffee menu is large and my miel was well brewed. They also sell pastries from nearby Rise Bakery like pop tarts, muffins and doughnuts. 2) Wifi: It's strong and most tables have their own outlet, making it easy to work from the cafe. 3) Service: It's attentive and friendly and fast. 4) Space: There's a bottom floor with tables and an upstairs with cushioned chairs and large tables for groups. I love that Corridor is within walking distance of my office. I have now had their: Squash/Sage Latte Witches Brew Latte (iced) Dark Roast Latte All with non-dairy milk. Hands down some of the best lattes I've had. My favorite was actually the plain old latte. I'm able to order online ahead of time, and because of this I ordered my latte w/extra dark roast. I can't begin to describe the flavor. The baristas are always friendly and work to finish your order quickly. There is a free parking lot for this coffee shop, so you don't have to park on the street. I love that they also host popups either inside or outside. Today was my first time in to Morning Ritual since it was Corridor Coffee a few years ago but oh my goodness I will definitely be back sooner! It is adorable inside, but definitely understandably busy on a weekend morning. They do they have picnic tables outside as well for when the weather warms up a bit. Their Instagram is what lured me in and is so well-run. I will for sure look at their page before going to see what's new, as they have many seasonal items. The Stargazer Society (punchcard club for each specialty drink during each astrological season) is such a fun idea and a cool way to showcase creativity and a local artist. I ordered the Ube Cold Foam Matcha and it was as beautiful as it was delicious and I didn't even have to customize it to be dairy-free. The sweet barista(/owner too maybe?) behind the counter told me most of their seasonal/speciality drinks are made vegan because they are vegan themselves! Even though I'm from Michigan, born and raised, I have only been to GR a handful of times. Most recently, I was visiting with family and I wanted my daily coffee fix for the long drive back home. Local coffee shops are best coffee shops, so I googled "coffee near me" and ended up at Corridor. This local shop really checks all the boxes. The space alone is great. Very charming and cozy, definitely a place that makes you feel welcome. I was shocked at how many drink options they offer! I'm an adventurous eater/drinker, so I love experimenting just as much as I enjoy the classics. I needed caffeine in a bad way, but otherwise I think I would've tried one of the many tea lattes or even a shrub beverage! Everything looked great. The latte I ended up deciding on was excellent. Bonus points: they stock quite a lot of goodies, and many (all?) are local, with lots of gluten-free options. There are dairy alternatives for the drinks as well. With my little to no knowledge of the area, I can't officially say West Side is Best Side, but I'll definitely make a point to stop back here on my next drive through! read more

You can grab your order on the main floor, head upstairs and find the perfect spot for grinding out some work, or you can have a seat in their cozy corner as you sip on your drink. ⁣ And guess what! You wouldn't think to find the best chocolate shake in Grand Rapids here, but it's true! I can't have a chocolate shake anywhere else since I've had Corridor's. I've lived on the west side my entire life and this little shop is hands down one of the greatest additions to the neighborhood in years. It's quaint and cozy inside, and you can tell the owner has gone the extra mile to ensure high quality and extremely friendly customer service. My other recommendation would be the miel. I didn't know what a miel was, but tried this espresso drink with honey on a whim and it's become my hot drink go to.
