One of my favorite coffee shops moved locations and the new spot is so sick! Love how big it is and how amazing their aesthetic and decor look! Not only does it look cool, the coffee is still undeniably amazing! Love an iced mocha most of the time but theirs is perfect. The people working here are always sweet and I love that Definitely check out their new location when you can to support them:)

I went to Morning Ritual for the first time after they opened in their new location. The space is incredibly open with lots of natural light, cool art, and even a customized photo booth. I've never been a coffee drinker but wanted to try getting into matcha. I decided to try the ube matcha cold foam latte with oat milk and vanilla. It was honestly one of my favorite drinks I've had! The ube was really nice and the drink itself wasn't too sweet nor heavy. They receive baked goods from Nantucket Bakery so you know they'll be good. The staff is always really friendly and pretty fashionable as well. I know they recently hosted a show with some great local bands so I hope they continue! I would definitely recommend coming here but taking the DASH, scooters, or walking may be your best bet on a busy day.

I've always loved Morning Ritual since their first location, so I was super excited to finally check out their new spot while I was in town and it did not disappoint! The space is way bigger, and I love the fun decor. The snoopy accents and sonny angels are such a cute touch! I got my go to which is the ube matcha latte (love that it comes with oat milk), and grabbed a vegan muffin too. Both were delicious! As always, the barista was super friendly and helpful! I'll definitely have to come back the next time I'm in town!

Cute coffee shop! I got the pumpkin latte with almond milk, it was delicious. Plenty of space to sit and do work on your computer, very centrally located.

Great Matcha latte! I had oat milk and sugar free vanilla syrup, it was good! I do wish they had more pastries available, they were almost out of everything and it was only about noon. It is a great coffee shop, very welcoming and quiet atmosphere.

Morning Ritual holds a special place in my heart. When our baby passed away in April, we spent the following weeks consumed by grief. We also spent some of those days going to morning ritual. I even decided to celebrate my first mother's day morning there as well. #1 they have the best drink specials of any place i've ever been to. creative and absolutely delicious every single time. strawberry matcha with a brown sugar oat milk cold foam... unbelievable. now i'm on the golden milk train and im obsessed. #2 they have local treats. 1 being the nantucket vegan everything croissant which reminds me of our baby the most. We love morning ritual to say the least. they have given us something to look forward to since that very first day we went. I cannot recommend enough. check out their insta for the specials.

the witchiest coffee shop on this side of the Mississippi for sure. It is handicap accessible aswell. Morning ritual truly is something special in our backyard. The homemade syrups, the branding, the seasonal specials and the overall aesthetic keeps me coming in frequently. They have done both a tarot and zodiac beverage series throughout the years. I have throughly enjoyed both. The space itself is small when you walk in, but there is plenty of cozy space upstairs to work. Be aware this building is old, and sound does carry throughout. Very queer friendly and queer owned. They are also known for the events they host, which are always a joy to attend. My favorite is an iced violet latte with oat or coconut milk. If they ever get their mocha PB cold foam latte back I will cry. I love this spot, forever.

The Ube matcha is a whole experience of deliciousness! So smooth and creamy I feel like I'm in my happy place whenever I take a sip.

What a gem of a place!! A friend had this gorgeous latte & I had an iced chai latte - delicious and priced lower than your "chain" coffee shops! Great atmosphere too

This is my all time favorite coffee shop. I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but I LOVE their Moon Milk & Chai drinks. The owner Alyx is super nice. The vibe is super cute, cozy & chill. They also have yummy pastries too. I moved to Ann Arbor and make sure I visit everyday I'm back in town!

Morning Ritual is a coffee shop in Grand Rapid's Westside near a strip of restaurants in historic buildings. I went on a Monday morning around 9:15 a.m. and it was easy to get a seat. Here's why you should go: 1) Food and Drink: The coffee menu is large and my miel was well brewed. They also sell pastries from nearby Rise Bakery like pop tarts, muffins and doughnuts. 2) Wifi: It's strong and most tables have their own outlet, making it easy to work from the cafe. 3) Service: It's attentive and friendly and fast. 4) Space: There's a bottom floor with tables and an upstairs with cushioned chairs and large tables for groups. The space is well designed and inviting. Morning Ritual would be my go-to coffee shop to work from if I lived in Grand Rapids.

Drinks are okay. Service is very nice. Main complaint is its too hard to find parking and actually go.

Our server was prompt and we ordered a few of the crazy fun dishes. I had the Love me tender dish which was a waffle with peanut butter, caramelized banana, bacon and a maple bourbon syrup. Oh my this was good. The rest of my group had amazing dishes as well and we had a great time. When in Grand Rapids, stop in here for a fun unique breakfast.

So when my family and I were walking around downtown Grand Rapids and needed a place to eat breakfast, we popped into Social Misfits because their menu is basically 90% waffles. My kids love waffles. Every kid loves waffles. Waffles it is! This is a great restaurant for families (because ... waffles), but also a great restaurant for adults because they have a nice selection of creative cocktails in the evening, and coffee in the morning. Social Misfits is basically waffles, alcohol and caffeine, in that order. When we visited in the morning, the adults opted for coffee (really great black coffee!) and the kids both opted for the Little Lad, a waffle topped with strawberries, blueberries and chantilly cream (basically whipped cream, but a little sweeter and whipped a little longer). Both of my children ate most of their waffle, which is a big thing, considering they usually eat like birds. We also got the Son of a Biscuit, which was a garlic parmesan waffle topped with chicken sausage gravy and a fried egg. You could add fried chicken to the mix for an extra $6 (we did not). This one was fine, but the egg was way overcooked! Oh well. Lastly: We got the Ol' Blue Eyes, a waffle topped with blueberry compote, lemon curd, whipped ricotta and graham cracker crumbs. This one tasted amazing, but there was so much blueberry compote and lemon curd that it made the waffle a bit soggy. I think the chef was feeling generous with the toppings, but homie needed to hold back a tad. Sometimes, a little bit goes a long way! Fifty percent less gloppy stuff would have made this waffle dish 100% better. If you ain't really about that waffle life, then not to worry. Social Misfits also has a few "not waffles" items on the menu, like salads, sandwiches and a couple of bar snacks. But I think if you visit this restaurant, you need to just embrace waffles. There are more than a dozen different waffles on the menu. They're all fun and well-thought-out. Pick one and eat waffles for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
