did you know that morning ritual has breakfast sandwiches? all of which are default vegan (option for dairy cheese available) 1. bacon, egg, and cheese 2. sausage, egg, and cheese 3. egg and cheese all sandwiches come on an english muffin with richie sauce which is some sort of spicy mayo. they still sell nantucket goodies too like bagels, vegan croissants, and the vegan pb chocolate rice crispy treats. i personally like the new location, though of course i miss the character of the old building. the photo booth is fun and i enjoy perusing the various local products and art they sell/display. read more

They close at 7 pm and I got there at 6:52. They graciously took care of me even though I'm sure they just wanted to close up for the night. I got the ecto E&T, it was excellent! I've been loving the espresso forward drinks. And this one hit the spot for sure. The house made citrus punch blended so perfectly with the espresso! One of the better coffee drinks I've had recently. read more

I wish I had dug down a little deeper in the reviews before committing to visiting. Was looking for a nice afternoon coffee pick-me-up and was met with a Debbie downer of a drink. The coffee itself tasted very flat and almost stale and the cold foam was not creamy or foamy at all. The cashier/barista was not friendly. I tried giving Morning Ritual a chance despite the morbid decor, but sadly I will not be back. read more

I don't know how to feel about this place! It's creative and unique, the space is big with lots of natural light and a good amount of space to work. The drinks are interesting. It wasn't bad, but not my favorite. I didn't love the specialty options, but the fruity loopy special was pretty good and tasted just like the cereal (although I wasn't expecting a green coffee) In terms of specialty coffee, I wish they had more staple espresso options (such as brown sugar or cinnamon) rather than fruity syrups (strawberry/peach). Everyone's taste is different, I'd still encourage to give it a try! read more

Didn't know they move to downtown. I was hoping that it is in a house on the west side like before. Now the vibe has change. More like a art gallery that serve drinks and coffee than a cafe. Very minimalistic. I don't like it. Drinks are good. They still serve pastries from local Nantucket bakery. To me, the place looks weird, looks unfinished and seating is not comfortable read more

New location alert! Morning Ritual has moved from the west side to the heart of downtown, at the corner of Lyon & Ionia. The new space is way bigger and brighter, with lots of natural light and space to hang out, get some work done, and enjoy a unique beverage + vegan breakfast sandwich! They also have a lot of fun art everywhere, as well as plenty of cute and irreverent items for sale. Loved the Snoopy stuff! Nate and I stopped in recently to get something from their summer menu - I tried the reaper: vegan caramel syrup, cream soda, espresso, and oat milk marshmallow vanilla cold foam. Nate ordered the sacred heart: lemon syrup, tonic, matcha, oatmilk marshmallow vanilla cold foam, with a dried lemon garnish. Phew! They were both very tasty, smooth and not too sweet. I always enjoy the opportunity to try something unique, and Morning Ritual has always provided that. Also, major points for taking our names for our drinks! Hearing "oat milk latte" and then seeing someone else take your drink is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to coffee shops. It's such a small thing that can make such a big difference and yes I will continue to write about this in every coffee shop review ever, lol. It looks like the space will serve as a music venue, and their sign also mentioned a photobooth, which wasn't there when we visited, so I'm excited to see what they will offer to the community as they continue to bloom in this new location. Parking: metered street parking is available nearby, be prepared to walk a bit! read more

One of my favorite coffee shops moved locations and the new spot is so sick! Love how big it is and how amazing their aesthetic and decor look! Not only does it look cool, the coffee is still undeniably amazing! Love an iced mocha most of the time but theirs is perfect. The people working here are always sweet and I love that Definitely check out their new location when you can to support them:) read more

I went to Morning Ritual for the first time after they opened in their new location. The space is incredibly open with lots of natural light, cool art, and even a customized photo booth. I've never been a coffee drinker but wanted to try getting into matcha. I decided to try the ube matcha cold foam latte with oat milk and vanilla. It was honestly one of my favorite drinks I've had! The ube was really nice and the drink itself wasn't too sweet nor heavy. They receive baked goods from Nantucket Bakery so you know they'll be good. The staff is always really friendly and pretty fashionable as well. I know they recently hosted a show with some great local bands so I hope they continue! I would definitely recommend coming here but taking the DASH, scooters, or walking may be your best bet on a busy day. read more

I've always loved Morning Ritual since their first location, so I was super excited to finally check out their new spot while I was in town and it did not disappoint! The space is way bigger, and I love the fun decor. The snoopy accents and sonny angels are such a cute touch! I got my go to which is the ube matcha latte (love that it comes with oat milk), and grabbed a vegan muffin too. Both were delicious! As always, the barista was super friendly and helpful! I'll definitely have to come back the next time I'm in town! read more

As soon as I walked in I was welcomed with a warm hello from the baristas. This place is huge I recommend teleworking from here. I told my barista it was my first time so she said I had to try the chai latte, so I got that for my wife. I also saw they had ube syrup so I ordered an Ube Egg Nog Latte. It was so good. The ube syrup they use is high quality, as a Filipino American I approve. As an American latte snob I approve of the flavors in the egg nog. The spices were rich but not overpowering and the ube syrup complimented it so well. read more

the witchiest coffee shop on this side of the Mississippi for sure. It is handicap accessible aswell. Morning ritual truly is something special in our backyard. The homemade syrups, the branding, the seasonal specials and the overall aesthetic keeps me coming in frequently. They have done both a tarot and zodiac beverage series throughout the years. I have throughly enjoyed both. The space itself is small when you walk in, but there is plenty of cozy space upstairs to work. Be aware this building is old, and sound does carry throughout. Very queer friendly and queer owned. They are also known for the events they host, which are always a joy to attend. My favorite is an iced violet latte with oat or coconut milk. If they ever get their mocha PB cold foam latte back I will cry. I love this spot, forever. read more

Love this coffee shop! Visited Morning Ritual with friends for an afternoon round of coffee. Everything was made to perfection! Service staff were friendly and helpful. Nice washrooms. Drinks are okay. Service is very nice. Main complaint is its too hard to find parking and actually go.

As a coffee lover in search for a new coffee place to try these pictures deceived me. Creepy dolls inside, reepers on the wall, honestly gave creepy, demonic vibes. Made me very uncomfortable. Coffee wasn't great either. Ordered a iced latte with oatmilk and cold foam..$9!!! Starbucks is literally better priced at this point. Cold foam was warm, barista was not enthusiastic...didn't even smile. They were completely out of all pastries or baked goods. My friend who was with me ordered a Matcha and asked for oatmilk I think and they gave her almond...and she is very allergic!! 0/10 would NOT recommend ESPECIALLY if you are Christian/spiritual.... very uncomfortable in there...felt demonic in a way. Hence the reason it's called morning RITUAL! Didn't register to me till after I walked in. read more

lattes are freakin delicious and the size is great for $7.. only complaint is the staff. they are kind of assholes... i've been in here a handful of times and there is never a greeting or a smile. and it can't be me cause i greet them and smile.... but iguess.. i'm still trying to decide if the coffee is worth it... maybe yes read more

Morning Ritual is a coffee shop in Grand Rapid's Westside near a strip of restaurants in historic buildings. I went on a Monday morning around 9:15 a.m. and it was easy to get a seat. Here's why you should go: 1) Food and Drink: The coffee menu is large and my miel was well brewed. They also sell pastries from nearby Rise Bakery like pop tarts, muffins and doughnuts. 2) Wifi: It's strong and most tables have their own outlet, making it easy to work from the cafe. 3) Service: It's attentive and friendly and fast. 4) Space: There's a bottom floor with tables and an upstairs with cushioned chairs and large tables for groups. The space is well designed and inviting. Morning Ritual would be my go-to coffee shop to work from if I lived in Grand Rapids. read more

I love that Corridor is within walking distance of my office. I have now had their: Squash/Sage Latte Witches Brew Latte (iced) Dark Roast Latte All with non-dairy milk. Hands down some of the best lattes I've had. My favorite was actually the plain old latte. I'm able to order online ahead of time, and because of this I ordered my latte w/extra dark roast. I can't begin to describe the flavor. The baristas are always friendly and work to finish your order quickly. There is a free parking lot for this coffee shop, so you don't have to park on the street. I love that they also host popups either inside or outside. If you hit it on the right day, you might leave with more than a drink/snack... read more

Our group of seven was served efficiently by the friendly baristas. If you like quirky wallpaper, flowers, trinkets, warm drinks with dairy alternatives, and a low-key vibe, this is the place for you. I wanted to find a spot other than the Starbuck's in Spectrum, and I'm so glad that I found this place. I love community locations like this. I feel the warm-fuzzy-wuzzies after visiting cafes like this. If you like trinkets, take a look at their stickers/pins section. The Michigan stickers are really cool. A bit pricey ($6), but worthwhile if you believe in supporting local artists. They have this cool mushroom sticker that is $3 - SUPER COOL ART! Enjoy~ read more

I've had a wonderful experience every single one of my 1000s of times here since it was Corridor Coffee. I love this little-known West Side coffee shop. It's homey with additional seating upstairs. The latte was really good and the choices are plentiful. The "day old" muffin tasted better than most muffins do on day one. Prices are high, which is most likely due to location and rent. Today was my first time in to Morning Ritual since it was Corridor Coffee a few years ago but oh my goodness I will definitely be back sooner! It is adorable inside, but definitely understandably busy on a weekend morning. They do they have picnic tables outside as well for when the weather warms up a bit. Their Instagram is what lured me in and is so well-run. I will for sure look at their page before going to see what's new, as they have many seasonal items. The Stargazer Society (punchcard club for each specialty drink during each astrological season) is such a fun idea and a cool way to showcase creativity and a local artist. I ordered the Ube Cold Foam Matcha and it was as beautiful as it was delicious and I didn't even have to customize it to be dairy-free. The sweet barista(/owner too maybe?) behind the counter told me most of their seasonal/speciality drinks are made vegan because they are vegan themselves! They also sell pastries from Rise, Sweet Batches, and Field and Fire. Good vibes, good coffee, good treats! read more

Even though I'm from Michigan, born and raised, I have only been to GR a handful of times. Most recently, I was visiting with family and I wanted my daily coffee fix for the long drive back home. Local coffee shops are best coffee shops, so I googled "coffee near me" and ended up at Corridor. This local shop really checks all the boxes. The space alone is great. Very charming and cozy, definitely a place that makes you feel welcome. I was shocked at how many drink options they offer! I'm an adventurous eater/drinker, so I love experimenting just as much as I enjoy the classics. I needed caffeine in a bad way, but otherwise I think I would've tried one of the many tea lattes or even a shrub beverage! Everything looked great. The latte I ended up deciding on was excellent. Bonus points: they stock quite a lot of goodies, and many (all?) are local, with lots of gluten-free options. There are dairy alternatives for the drinks as well. With my little to no knowledge of the area, I can't officially say West Side is Best Side, but I'll definitely make a point to stop back here on my next drive through! read more
