Margarita pizza
Mike B.

I heard from friends that Hall Street Bakery made great pizza. With that recommendation we had to try it. The margarita pizza was outstanding! Ingredients jump out at you and the crust cannot be any better. I never thought I could get this good of a pizza at a bakery! We went back a couple of weeks later for another pizza. Just as outstanding. Another bonus although I cannot remember the specifics is during "Happy Hour" there is a discount on pizza's.

Lunch with my son, sooo good. Walked there from his place. Wonderful outdoor seating area. I had a pesto sandwich, 1/2 size, cake with chips & a pickle (I didn't get pickle as I don't care for them). He got a chicken parm sandwich. We both really enjoyed our meal. Staff was friendly & attentive. Will be back. Ample parking for those that drive to location.

Assorted baked goods.

Local bakery with friendly service. There are a good handful of local coffee shops that also offer baked goods in this area but Hall Street stands out for a couple reasons: They have more than coffee and baked goods - pizzas (they even sell wine/beer and are open in the evenings unlike normal shops like this), they have in site parking and I love taking advantage of their 50% off yesterdays baked goods rack. We enjoy their muffins and cinnamon rolls - but find their breakfast cookies and scones to be dry and bland - personal preference. They also make really nice gift baskets if you're looking for a pretty, high quality option. Last, in the warmer months they have a lovely outdoor patio for sitting/dining.

Porky Pickle Pizza

A comfy cafe atmosphere with plenty of seating and lots of food options. Delicious pastries, baked goods, sandwiches and more! I tried a ham and cheese croissant, which was warmed up and very tasty. We also ordered the special Porky Pickle pizza, which I highly recommend for all bbq pork and pickle lovers. It was just enough for 2 people to split. Unfortunately the wait for pizza was over an hour in the evening, so definitely be prepared to wait. The servers also forgot to bring out our beer and wine until we asked about the drinks 15 minutes later.

I am so lucky to pass this bakery multiple times a week! It's so convenient being located at the corner of Hall and Kalamazoo. I've frequented this place for the past 3-4 years and haven't written about it - sorry! My aunt did me a huge favor and transported a huge suitcase of my cousin's kids' hand-me-downs from Florida so on the way to her house to pick it up, I thought I'd treat her to an assortment of my favorite pastries! I was greeted upon arrival and almost everyone (workers and guests) was masked! Thank you! My favorite item here is their cinnamon roll - huge and great frosting :) I will add more details the next time I pick up something for myself!

I would absolutely stop over there before or after going to one of those. There's ample parking and it's within the general area of the movie theater. The spot itself has a good amount of seating and some of the coolest decor. There is a massive wooden art piece detailing history which is so fun to just sit and read. The staff was more than friendly and polite. They gave us some really helpful information and recommendations for drinks. We didn't end up eating any of the food but the honeycomb dessert looked incredible and my boss has said that the spinach pie is amazing. I really loved my strawberry matcha! The drink was beautiful and tasted really great!

Overall, everything was solid. The Qishr was good, though I think it could have used a bit more kick. Aside from that, the coffee was excellent and the rest of what we tried did not disappoint. I also had an organic mango juice, which was fresh (even though it came in a bottle) and really enjoyable.

I've been going since late 2022/early 2023, back when they were just a vintage shop (with a cute cat) at their old spot further down Division. I first came across them at a market and bought a shirt (still probably my favorite shirt in my collection) but at the time they were pretty under the radar, so I forgot the name. Almost a year later, an old friend complimented that same shirt, which led to me telling the whole story. I was like, "all I remember is they sold spoon rings," and said friend immediately goes, "sounds like Otono on Division." Ofc I went there that weekend, and sure enough, that was them. Been a fan ever since. At this point, a good chunk of my wardrobe is from them. It's been really cool seeing how much they've grown and evolved, especially with the addition of the café. I think it's such a hit and fits their vibe perfectly. The owners are also super personable and the staff are always kind. I added a few pics from past visits, but I definitely recommend checking them out. And if you get lucky, they sometimes have cookies and other treats from Cou Cou Bakehouse when there are leftovers from her pop-ups!
