California Sunshine Chanel Champagne had an awesome experience here! Pawdicures are a thing w Cali...she no like! The ladies were perfect w Cali and said she did great .... They explained what and how and I appreciated that a lot! Life changing to have this in my neighborhood where we can go regularly and keep my princess manicured and clean! It really is a BIG deal so thank you!!!!! We also used the kitchen sink for a bath! Yay!

Megan was so good to my boy, he looks amazing and smells great too. Couldn't recommend more. Will be coming back. Don't go to your local pet superstore go to Mud Puppies Riverside. I'm still amazed! Thank you.

Thank you for grooming our baby Marley. This was our first time here and they were very efficient and friendly at check in. They did a great job! We will be back!!

After the horrible cut. You can see the patchiness.

I am livid. We took our English Cream Golden to get groomed here. My husband spoke to the groomer and confided in her opinion. My husband left telling the groomer to "Make sure he still looks like a golden." When we got him back, he looked completely different. He doesn't even look like a golden anymore. I am not even that upset with the fact that he doesn't have that appearance but in speaking to our vet, because his protective coat is now gone, he now is more prone to sunburn and lost all his insulation. In doing research, my dog's coat will also never grow back the same if it ever even does. The groomers here are not knowledgeable. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! My husband came to them and sought out advice from someone who is supposed to know the ins and out of dog grooming and in the end, clearly they do not.

An Austin hidden gem. Mud puppies isn't something you'd find driving around. If it wasn't for Yelp and Google I wouldn't have known about it. I spent about $65 for a schnauzer cut, which is the typical price. My doggie was in need of a haircut bad. I showed up to my appointment on time and they greeted me with smiles even when my pup was anxious. His haircut was on point and spoiler alert! They even included a free bandana!

WE LOVE KERA!!! Kera does such an amazing job on our labradoodle Loki and I recommend her for any doodle! Loki has gone to her since his first groom and now he's so well behaved during, she really makes sure they have a great first experience.

So happy that I found a new boarding and playcare place for Dolly so close to home! My friend, Miss Amy D, has taken her pup to the North location of Mud Puppies. When I finally realized that there is a south location and that it is so close to where I live I knew I had to give it a try for Dolly. Like most places there is an orientation day to make sure your dog is a good fit for Mud Puppies. This costs around $30. After this you can bring the dog in for boarding or playcare. Play dates run $22 and boarding is $35. If you don't want to have your dog play or board they have a self serve tub room where you can do baths for your dog ($10-$15) or use the groomer on site. Dolly boarded here for 2 nights. Note: She is very used to being boarded so this isn't an issue for her. She has stayed at a variety of places. I did a tour of the dog boarding facility and they are basically little indoor kennels with wire mesh doors that the dogs sleep in. You can bring your dog's bed or favorite toy--just no raw hides. They will attend to special needs such as medicine or wet food at no additional charge (you need to provide instructions and the food). The dogs go outside to play several times a day which is great because other boarding facilities in Austin don't do several times a day. If you pick up before noon you won't be charged with a doggy playcare date. If you pick up your dog from boarding after noon you will be charged the $22. I feel like this place is very clean, well developed and well managed. Mud Puppies even offers training classes and they sell dog toys in their main lobby. You can tell these people care about dogs. If you do Facebook and you take your dog into Mud Puppies for orientation look for your dogs picture on the main Mud Puppies page as they usually feature new dogs that are coming into Mud Puppies for the first time. Note: Dolly gets a BIG SMILE on her face when I pull up to this place. That's always a good sign!

Transformative Online Training, Truly Beyond Words!…read more We are so grateful for Allegra and her incredible online training program. We took in two stray dogs who were wild, anxious, and completely untrusting. We weren't sure where to begin and it was chaotic for us, until we found her. Through her online courses and virtual sessions, she helped guide us step by step with patience, wisdom, and a technique that honestly goes beyond words. Even though we never met in person, her presence and deep understanding of animal behavior came through in every interaction. With her support, our dogs have started to trust us, calm down, and settle into their new life. The change has been remarkable. It feels like a miracle to see them open up and begin to feel safe and loved. If you're dealing with fearful or reactive dogs, do not hesitate to work with Allegra. Her approach is compassionate, intuitive, and truly life-changing. Thank you, Allegra, so much!!

It's much more wide ranging than training that's only focused on commands like sit/stay/down/etc (though you can work on all of those with the Naked Dog's programs too). Before we signed up for the group training series, I was at my wit's end with our recently adopted dog. He had a lot of behavioral issues, ranging from chewing things in the house, overall excitability, constant attempts to eat pecans and, worse, trash on walks (and often succeeding despite our best efforts & requiring steady doses of probiotics and even a vet visit to induce vomiting), and lunging on leash at dogs and passing vehicles. We also noticed that when we took him to the dog park, he'd play really rambunctiously and generally go 0-60, including running and body checking other dogs (not the best strategy for harmonious playing). The great part about this series is that it's three in-person sessions (we added a fourth for some additional coaching) and the rest is a series of online lessons. This made it easy for us to work through at our own pace. In the online portion, the end of every lesson included video homework that we'd send in and get feedback from one of the Naked Dog trainers -- this was great because it captured us applying these skills in a total real world setting, without the presence of a trainer to coach us or influence our dog to be on his best behavior. Fast forward a couple months, and now we feel confident that we can handle any situation with our dog, including taking him to busy and distracting environments and responding to misbehavior. He's mellowed out so much -- he isn't perfect, but it feels like we've reached an understanding. He went from my problem child to my sidekick. He can walk in a heel, he comes when called, and will wait at the door before we say he can come in. It feels like he's looking to us as leaders and that he's truly settled in as part of our family. We followed the Naked Dog's recommendations for introducing dogs for the first time when we took him over to a friend's house to meet their dogs, and they remarked on what a good dog he is, and that he's better behaved than other dogs they've petsitted, so now we have a worry-free petsitting option. I also now take him by our neighborhood park on walks and let him meet other dogs, which used to be a wild activity full of leash pulling and jumping. The Naked Dog taught us what to look for in reading dogs' behavior so that we can spot polite vs rude behavior and manage their interactions before they start getting too wild, which is a truly priceless part of this training seminar.

Owners were confused and just zapped away without proper training and guidance, I pulled my dog out immediately. If you truly love your dog, and want to learn proper communication, consider positive reinforcement. The only situation I 'maybe' consider this is a pup with aggressive behavior. The owner does need to be diligent with taking their dog to the trainings (we kind of fell off at the end but it was okay) but as long as you stick with it, your dog will learn new skills and will be better behaved than before. We can literally walk our dog without a leash now, I never thought that would be possible. She will sit in her place when people come over and we are always getting compliments on how good she is. We can do things in the front yard and have her stay in the garage and she won't run after other dogs that walk by or other other people or children. She has learned to stay in her place for as long as we need her to be. It's funny because she was a really wild dog before and now that she's trained everybody loves her. overall the training here was worth it and we are really happy that we did it!

The people at the facility that I interacted with or capable and knew what they were doing. My dogs were obedient to the trainers when I picked them up. However, the two 30 minute to 45 minutes training sessions were supposed to be 1hour sessions but we're cut short because other customers were arriving. We did not have enough time with the trainers to become skilled at reinforcing what our dogs had learned. We did get written instructions and email instructions. But for the price, I thought we would get more thorough training. The owner Lisa is knowledgeable and nice. Austin, her son, answers the phone he is also very nice. Leaving my dogs at their facility was stressful. I was told I would have communication and pictures or videos daily. What they didn't tell me is the pictures our poses and videos that match canned statements, not real communication about my dog and only once daily. I was given the direct phone number of the owner but couldn't reach her until three or four calls were made. I felt upset that I couldn't determine my dogs well-being from the poses and the canned comments that were generic to every dog. It was upsetting waiting for a callback. I couldn't visit my dogs while they were boarded for training and one of the pictures they looked very stressed. So I was upset by the time. I finally got a callback. The owner Lisa was helpful when she called back. I did get more personal interaction from the trainers. After speaking with Lisa. When I had a scheduling issue, she was also accommodating. My issue is when we got our dogs home we were not trained to reinforce what they had learned. We are not trained to get the results we saw when we picked up the dogs from boarding training. Then there are the group classes. They last for six months. I had terrible health problems for two months and could not attend and they will only allow me one month credit even though I offered MD proof that I was sick. So two months later, our two, very reactive Frenchies in tow, we were late to class and exhausted due to late night, long flight delays. I called talked to Austin told him we would be 36 minutes late.. He said no problem come on in, we will take care of you when you arrive. After a 45 minute drive , we arrived and employee Jerry was very rude. Turned us away and said "I don't know what to tell you, class is over why are you here"? I explained what Austin had said, Jerry said again. "I don't know what to tell you class is over" and shrugged. I called Austin back, he said "I don't know what to say, sorry come back next week". Even though we arrived at the exact time, I told Austin we would arrive. I expect better customer service for $6,000. The sales pitch I was given, led me to believe they would be very present knowledgeable, and helpful. that has not consistently been our experience. We attended class today and were pleasantly surprised. Lisa was teaching and it was a good class. We went over the basics of what they had taught our dogs and how to do it at a very basic level. I feel like I should've had today's training and several other training sessions during the time my dogs were being boarded and trained. There would've been more value in boarding them if I was better equipped to deal with them when they got home.
