Stopped in to grab my dog some new shampoo on my way home, first time in and I was trying to be quick. I stayed 20min just browsing the toys and treats... had no idea time passed! The staff member was so helpful and friendly. I not only found the best smelling shampoo for my dog, but also the cutest catnip pouches for my cats and a little frozen pup cup. I've had only GREAT service at Mud Bay. I have a VERY picky cat, and vet recommendations for certain ingredients for her food. So we've bought several things that the cat was too bitchy and refused to eat. But Mud Bay's return policy allows me to bring back opened items for a full refund. The staff are always happy to help and give amazing recommendations and customer service. When your animal disagrees with their well-intentioned suggestions, and they refund you in full, what more can you ask for? read more

We just moved to Puyallup from Snohomish. MudBay was my first choice for our pet store. Unfortunately they didn't carry the size/brand of dog food we needed. But I was able to special order with no problem and received a text as soon as it came in. I called and asked if it was ok if I wasn't able to pick it up for a few days and Fiona immediately offered to deliver it to me the next day. She made the entire transaction a breeze and even included a lovely treat for my fur babies. They will always be my go to as long as we are here. read more

I always get a bad service each time employees always hovering as if they think you are going to steal something. They have always racially profiled me so many times that I'd rather go to the Sumner location even if its out of the way. I only go to this store if there is a specific item that I need to get and Sumner location does not have it. Today was actually the worst. So I went to pay up and got suspected that my money was fake after Marci said I cant accept your money cause the pen marker turned yellow. It is supposed to turn yellow! I told her I just got it from the bank and I asked for a manager she said she was in charge, wow I think she needs training then if she was in charge I went to Safeway and paid using the $100 bill I was suspected of by Marci and at Safeway tested it and accepted the money. I think this location needs to train their employees and get a machine that can detect if its fake or not to save their customers for being embarrassed just because the employees doesn't even know how to use their pen detector. Will probably not do a walk in at this location and just do a pick up if Sumner location does not have what I need. Mind you this location is less than a mile from me but I'd rather go to Sumner due to their better service and employees not hovering and racially profiling me. read more

Friendly staff has helped us find everything we have looked for. Some foods are actually a better deal than bigger chains which is surprising for more of a boutique shop. Some items are more expensive but it's location is waaay more convenient than the bigger chains' locations. read more

I started going to this location ever since I changed jobs and I've never had a bad experience! I used to go to the one in South Hill but the customer service was not the best. Employees always seemed very stand off ish and not willing to help. My aunt had the same experience a few times as well. But this one!!!! Every time I walk in I'm greeted with welcoming smiles. I recently went to this location a couple days ago and the employees were extremely helpful!! I was able to find the perfect chews and treats for my crazy pup. Only came in for a couple of things but walked out with a bag full of goodies because I was convinced! I was also told about the 3 soft food can trial per visit and I think that's amazing!! Sometimes my dog doesn't like what I buy her so I'm super glad to know they have this option. I didn't get the names of the worker (I visited on 4/22 around 4:30pm) but this will for sure be my go to location. Plus, they never fail to give us extra sample treats read more
