Well, the checkout is a little ghetto, the store is full of great ingredients. It's really hard to find things with no chicken in them when I'm looking for food for my French bulldog. They had the items necessary, clean ingredients easy to find. The only thing I disliked, was that the treats presented at the very front of the store had so many chemicals in them to look nice. It sucks that there were no great looking treats without those additives presented. They had great deals on toys, unfortunately, the toys on that drawers too big for my frenchie but they were good deals regardless. read more

do not buy this garbage collar! i went against my better judgement and instinct. i had a feeling it was crap! sure enough my 70lb pitbull slipped out of the collar !!!!! i had to restrain a 70 lb pitbull while holding on to my dalmatian!!!! there was a german shepherd tied to a truck that wanted to fight luka. shit like this is flabbergasting!!! something as simple as a proper collar could have really taken lukas life or the german shepherd. i held him down with all my strength. because -- if my dog luka slipped out of ur shitty collar. those dogs can fight and possibly kill each other and traumatize the community. if my dog lives the fight , animal control will still pick him up for biting - hold him in isolation at the shelter and then put him down. and then my beautiful dog would become another statistic. i take accountability for buying this crap. never again! don't carry this product! it's dangerous. the collar doesn't cinch. read more

Thank you Lori for your training methodology, patience and personal care. We've been a customer for over 20 years, two Golden retrievers and one Goldendoodle have been through her training. Lori trains the owner as much as the dog as 1 hr. a week does not give the results needed without owner participation daily at home. Pups are exposed to other dogs, loud noises, different surfaces and standard commands. All of which are part of getting puppies ready for real life. Ok I hate to give bad reviews but I brought my mid length dachshund in for their so called furminator because he was shedding , and a FULL haircut. I told them what I wanted when I dropped him off- a full all over cut incl trim butt and paws, legs elbows and tummy like usual .. it was one of worst cuts ever and so uneven.. I literally cried , they didn't trim him evenly and barely took anything off , I paid 87.00 Dollars before I could see him and I went back in to tell them he needed more cut off his back of legs and stomach ears and even his tail was still dragging on the ground ..so she took him back quickly and she literally whacked all the feathers off his pretty tail and left his legs so uneven , it looks even worse now , I've had cuts before from my old groomer and it looked so much better , he came out silky and trimmed up real nice and very professionally done .. for $60.. not 87.00 without tip ! That is most expensive groom he has ever had , he wasn't even fully dry , I had to trim him myself when we got home to make him look even .. this is the second time they groomed my dog and it didn't look professional , as the last girl was new , she was supposed to be the senior groomer as that's who I asked for this time!! They don't know how to trim doxies properly I could have done a better job myself! I will Never come back here .. they are NOT professional groomers .. On top of that I didn't realized they didn't even trim his nails til I got home !!!! I don't like that they hold them up by his neck either as my other groomer put him in a small dog hammock while he literally falls asleep !! Love PetSmart but this location I will not go back to. Stood in line for so long with only one cashier that my dog was getting uneasy. They didn't bring out anyone to open another register until the line almost reached the back of the store. They had to open all registers to get through the long line they caused. read more

I visit this store often, mostly because the employees are incredible. Yesterday I ordered some items to be delivered (I'm in a wheelchair and don't get out very often). For some reason, the delivery service only brought me a small portion of the order. They went back and picked up the rest of the order only to then cancel it. I called the store and told them what happened and one of the employees (I wish I knew his name) drove to my house on his lunch brake (about 6 miles one way) to deliver it. My transaction was around 12:30pm on Wednesday 1/28/26 for reference. I shop here all the time and don't usually have issues. I went in to purchase crickets and pick up my online order. I wait in line and the lady who was my cashier didnt say a word to me, no hello, just pointed at the payment terminal. I didn't really understand what she was doing that for. And then she said are you going to put in your rewards number? I didn't say anything because I was in shock that she was being rude. After I paid for the crickets I told her I was picking up my online order. She continued to not say anything, grabbed my order and then said something like grab your crickets. She didn't say goodbye, have a nice day, nothing. I just thought she must be having a bad day I'll drop it until the person behind me in line got a very welcoming greeting and she spoke with them. It made me feel really bad about myself and it felt targeted against me. If I have another interaction with her like that again I will report her. It was very rude and made me feel singled out and discriminated against based on my looks. read more

Toxic environment. Treat customers terrible. The grooming salon has terrible F rated leadership. They butchered my sweet dog's fur. She is getting groomed at another salon and they said the damage done to her fur, may never grow back. I asked the dog groomer at Pet Smart to not cut/touch her tail. She cut her tail twice down to a stub to the base of her fur. She also trimmed the side edges of her tail- that will never grow back. I was told that is permanent but the base may grow back, but it could take years. Right now I am having to pay for extra treatments as well as expensive salmon liquid vitamins to try to see if her fur will grow back normal. The fur around her body is burnt and damaged the manager at another salon said. This is costing me extra money and I'm just so sad for my little dog because she's the most well-behaved, sweet, innocent dog. She didn't deserve it and neither did I. This place is absolutely terrible and it all comes down from the weak poor leadership. Take your dog anywhere but here. Especially if you love them and care about them. read more

My six year old son has been very interested in getting a small pet and ultimately, he saved his money and decided on a bearded dragon. Historically, PetSmart apparently has terrible pet husbandry practices which resulted in us getting a sick bearded dragon, who despite our best efforts/care/products; they did not survive. So, we provided him a proper burial to better help my son understand the process and we called PetSmart to speak to the manager about our dragon and their health. The manager was very apologetic and offered to replace the dragon without hesitation; as long as we brought in the body (exhumed it) for her to make sure it was legit. Well, we did that! You should have seen the then manager on duty's face when we produced the dead, albeit freshly exhumed corpse! They apologized profusely and promised us that their policy did not require employee's to verify the corpse of a dead animal before it could be replaced under their policies. I would say caveat emptor when buying pets from PetSmart, though our second bearded dragon has been fantastic. read more

HORRIBLE. We drove some 25 miles to this location as we were pulling up into the parking lot (we were ten minutes LATE) my phone rang and the girl said that they had to reschedule again. Mind you I had graciously accepted their rescheduling three times prior to this appointment. I literally begged her to take my dogs as we had travelled so far, no moving this gal who was a hard core b.....I was so upset at her when she tried to explain to me why over and over again that they had to cancel. My bad I swore at her. The store manager I spoke with was backing up the rude b and stated that I had upset her. Upset her? Why? If she was really and truly listening to me of how long I had travelled as well as the condition of my dogs who really needed a groom, she would have accepted my dogs if Pet Smart needed the business. Obviously they don't. Manager offered me a reschedule again which of course I declined.... Obviously, their commercial does not apply to the people that work at this store as well as the manager who should be more customer friendly and the b that serves as a receptionist at the grooming salon should be more aware of business ethics. 10 minutes late vs. 3 reschedules on your part to me was indeed an unfair exchange. I will NEVER EVER PATRONIZE PET SMART AGAIN. THIS STORE IS FULL OF UNCARING AND B... PEOPLE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I took my cat to get groomed at this location since it's the only Petsmart within a 40 minute drive that will groom cats. My first experience was wonderful with a groomer that I'm assuming no longer works there. They followed the procedure of special cat hours (based on Petsmart's P&P) and actually took the time to care for my cat. My most recent experience, however, was horrible. I booked a grooming appointment for my cat on 4/18/22 and was told that they do still have special cat time. I was a little confused on why my appointment was later in the morning but just brushed it off with maybe being understaffed or it being a slower day so they have the salon open later. When I get there there are a few dogs which was a bit concerning but I figured they would have a different space for cats. I was also put off by the attitude of the groomer taking my cat and how she didn't even greet me other than saying "are you here for your (cat's name) appointment?" I confirmed and tried to have light conversation with her to no avail. Whatever, I also work in customer service so I get it. Once I signed the paperwork she took my cat and said she would see me in a few hours. I thought it was a mistake and at first brushed it off but then went back to confirm that yes, it would be a few hours. I said I didn't want my cat to be here with dogs in and out and her in a kennel for a few hours and they said okay, it'll only take about 15 minutes then. I then get a call saying that I can come in and grab my cat and I see that they have barely even towel dried her and when the groomer was coming up to the front to my cat's carrier she put my cat close enough to a dog's face that the dog's nose booped my cat. That was another red flag for me considering I'm not sure how my cat is around dogs, and I sure as hell don't know how that dog is towards cats, but luckily the dog was very well behaved and my cat was too anxious and fearful to do anything. The groomer gives me an invoice for a completed service ALONG with an added $10 fee. They explain that it's an express fee when I know that the special handling fees (which is what they charged me for) is to charge when an animal is being difficult. I asked if my cat behaved poorly to her saying that no, my cat was good, just very vocal. She then said I needed to pay the invoice and then I could get my cat and leave. I did so because I just wanted to go home but I was upset for being charged not only extra but charged for a completed service when that's not what I got. When cats don't like the blow dryer Petsmart groomers don't keep the cat to air dry, instead they normally dock a few dollars off and explain as to why they did and then send the cat home since they don't normally like to keep cats in the kennels. When I got home I called after inspecting my cat and seeing that not only was her back half not even towel dried, but they missed two claws when clipping her nails (which shouldn't have happened if my cat was well behaved). I then talked to several people and for 30 minutes of my 40 minute phone call they argued with me saying that I shouldn't have brought my cat in, that they don't have special cat hours (which is a lie, since they have a P&P stating that they do need to have special time slots and have to block out time for a cat groom so there are little to no dogs in the salon if there is a groomer that takes cats), and that if I'm that upset I can load my cat back into the car and drive over. I explained that no, I wasn't going to do that since I lived half an hour away, and that I was disappointed with my service and the overall experience. They then told me that I just need to go local then for grooming which is such a cop out and lazy argument. I then said that I wasn't satisfied and that this was not a look great guarantee to which I was put on hold AGAIN and then given a refund. I would've been happy with just a partial refund, but after having to argue my case, be lied to about policies, deal with attitude from staff from start to finish, and have a bad service done I was happy with a full refund. Never take your cats here to get groomed even if you get a coupon for it. I miss the old groomer that actually followed policies put in place to protect pets, instead they're lazy and figure that since they don't make a lot of sales through cat grooming, it doesn't matter. read more

I should've read the reviews here prior to even going here. Do not take your pets here for grooming. They don't care about you, your pets or your business. After months of bringing my dogs here to be groomed, I was refused service today because of my dog's history of seizures. My dog hasn't had a seizure in over a year and I informed them of that, but they didn't care to hear anything I had to say. I had also informed them of her history of seizures at every past appointment I had brought her too, so they have been aware and have seen her with no issue for months. When I called and spoke to a manager I was informed that the groomers can refuse service to any dog. When I asked why no one had called me to cancel the appointment; commenting that I had wasted time and gas as it's a 30 minute drive for me, the manager said he was unsure and he would speak to them about that. He provided no apology. When I stated that this is horrible customer service and I would not be returning, he responded with a chipper, "okay". They clearly do not care about you, your pets or your business. Go somewhere that does. read more

I am very disappointed in theit grooming salon. I Was actually looking forward to it because I got off work at 7:30 and by the time I called to see if I can get my dog's nails trimmed.. they were willing to do it 30 minutes before the salon closed. When I got there... my dog took a potty... from being nervous and they cleaned it. What I found outrageous was... the way they handled my dog. They used a neck collar lead but my dog was unwilling to follow and she roughly 45 pounds and they basically choked/dragged her across the swinging doors. The groomer kept choking her unwillingness towards me... and some other groomer that seemed to have a bad attitude told me to step outside... I tried to keep an eye on how they treated her. The 3 groomers wrestled with my dog.. trying to put on 3 different choking leads and even a muzzle! I Can understand the muzzle but really? After 5 minutes of choking my dog, they decided my dog was too much for them to handle and need to take her to a vet and get sedated!! To trim nails... This one star is only towards the grooming salon inside petsmart. read more

Bought a baby guinea pig here, she was healthy then a couple days later she got 2 eye infections & upper respiratory infection. They said they would take her to the vet to get her checked up, they would give her meds & she would only be there for 10-14 days. Almost 2 weeks later (today) I call to see what day she's going to be ready & the guy on the phone says "she has probably another 14 days still" excuse me?! The staff is not knowledgeable about how long animals will stay there when they are sick. They do not give updates. They told me I could visit her, but when I came they said that's against their policy. Never buying another thing from PetSmart. Including live animals, never had a problem with any animals from petco! Hopefully I'll actually be able to get my guinea pig back, my other pigs grew a very strong bond with her in the short time she was home with them. Luckily they haven't gotten sick with what she brought home. read more

I wish I could give this groomer a lower score. I absolutely will not bring my dog back to this location. His first experience here was completely traumatic. He sat in my lap, pinned as close to me as possible on the way home. I brought him in for a bath and brush, nail trim and teeth cleaning. They came out, but the choke leash on, very tight for a dog with a harness and leash still on him. When coming to pick him up, they told me to give him CBD for the next visit. Then proceeded to call him crazy and the Tasmanian devil. I understand he is a puppy and is nervous for his first experience. However, that's what I'm paying them for. I'm paying for a service. I'm paying for someone to provide something I can't. I would expect someone who does this all day, every day, would be capable of handling a puppy with patience and care. Very unimpressed. read more

When I brought the girls in i was told that our cocker needed to have the ears shaved. I told her that I didn't want her ears shaved she said she would not give her a bath without shaving her. What pissed me off, got my panties in a bunch, or flustered me (choose one), was that an employee and I were leaving about the same time. I pulled out and lined up to merge into traffic along with a few other cars. My indicator was on signaling that that I was turning left so there was no confusion. The employee that was behind me took it upon herself to cut me off and merge onto Meridian. Ok cool you want to drive like a c*unt then go for it but forget the moment I see you walking out of Petsmart whether you are off the clock or not you're still associated and representing Petsmart. The old me would have flipped you the bird but I've changed me life. I've had my dog for over 4 years. He is a rescue and has his issues but I have NEVER had a groomer complain about his behavior! I called this morning to see if Petsmart's groomers had room to fit him in today and they said yes if we bring him in right away. I hurried out the door to get him there and were greeted by the gal that would be grooming him. We explained that we were aware that his coat was a hot mess...we haven't been able to get him groomed for several months and he hate being brushed. We left and he happily went into the salon with her. When it came time to pick him up we were greeted by the same groomer. They had 4 dogs up on tables being groomed. She explained that my dog had tried to bite her when she tried to lift his leg to groom his groin area. She said he was so snarly they muzzled him! And they had to use an assistant to hold him. Do you think maybe they were stressing him out?? So she finished his cut, even though her manager had suggested that maybe she shouldn't! I was very apologetic and took him and walked into the main store where he peed like crazy and pooped within minutes of leaving the salon. He was there for 4 hours....do they NOT take the dogs potty?? Poor thing he was a nervous wreck. After reading the below review about a dog being manhandled by a groomer I am thinking mine was as well. I WILL NOT be returning to this salon.....the store itself YES!! I am writing this review based on the grooming. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!! Unless you enjoy them cutting their nials way too short, and picking up a dog that doesn't even look groomed. What a joke. We took our puppy here, and will never go back. I would suggest supporting a small business, I know I will in the future. It looked like he sat in a cage for four hours stressed out. This is mostly a compliment about one of the staff members: Josie. A bit of backstory: The boyfriend and I have a couple of foster reptiles from the Seattle Animal Shelter that we take care of until they are adopted and we also come here to volunteer for the Puyallup Animal Shelter during their adoption events. When we decided to adopt one of our fosters, a corn snake, we decided to check out the prices and get her equipment from PetSmart. Josie asked us if we needed help and we decided to tell her about us adopting the snake and seeing if she had any recommendations of things to get in addition to what was already in our cart. I'll be honest, I've not had a lot of luck with PetSmart employees in the past at other locations - They seem to know a little bit about everything but aren't really "pros" at any topic. Josie gave us recommendations and she CLEARLY knew what she was talking about - She gave some rescommendations for an under-tank heater and that there is a thermostat you can buy online that connects to the heater so it shuts off automatically when it gets too hot. Turns out she has a ball python and REALLY actually knew what she was talking about and she spent about 20 minutes with us telling us what we needed, what we didn't need, etc. Not only that, but she EXPLAINED everything and her personal experience. If you have a question about a snake, I would HIGHLY recommend her. She was simply AMAZING. read more

First time I dropped my fir baby for boarding, the lady that was checking me in was rude and the lady they came and got my dog was rude and seemed like she didn't know how to handle dogs. Tried one more time today with doggy day camp and again they were not prepared for my arrival, got me confused with another customers dog information and they broke my dogs feeding bowls and didn't acknowledge or apologized for that matter. She stood there taping a box while ignoring me. As I waited patiently for her to get done. She finally looks up and asked what was the reason for the return with an attitude. I explained to her that the item doesn't fit my fish tank. She looked up the item on the computer to double check the items like it wasn't on the receipt. Called the manager over to explained as if to get an approval. Looks at me then gives me my money while glaring as if I shouldn't get my money back. My last visit to Petsmart was very sad. My fish is dying and I went in there with a gallon container to get some of their good water so that I could help my fish live. My son accidentally put something in the fishes water and it was slowly killing him. They flat out told me to leave. They told me there was no way they could help me with that. This really showed me that they did not care about my fish suffering at home. The reason that they would not help me was that they were afraid that I would file charges against them for killing my fish. This was after I explained how much their water had helped my fish in the past. They said they have water they can sell me but none they can give me for free. This says a lot about this place. They are only interested in helping me save my fish if they are going to make money. Even though I have already spent hundreds of dollars at the store. read more
