A good girl

Overall it was fine. We were able to wash my dog with the provided supplies and resources which was our goal going in. There was 1 employee who was "helping" us that was wildly unattententive and rude. There were no directions posted for us to read anywhere and no verbal directions given from any employees, but they seemed frustrated we didn't know what to do! My dog is new to grooming and I very clearly communicated that at multiple points during our attempted nail trim, the nail trim wasn't important to us and I tried to stop them 2x before actual being listened to. It was very obvious the employee did not care about us or my dog, but just cutting her nails so I intervened. They didn't check on us a single time (We were the only people in there for 60% of our time). We had to ask the other employee for product we pre-paid to use during our service. If you just need to walk in, put your dog in the tub and wash then you'll probably be fine here! The lady doing grooming seemed nicer than the other employee. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable the whole time. That employee really ruined our experience with their unprofessional and rude behavior so we will not be returning.

The perfect destination for two little boys (one Havenese & one Shitzu) to get a shave & a shower! Easy on my back & less trauma for them. Everything we need is right there!

Brought my Husky in on a Sunday morning and had a great experience. The gal working didn't make me feel bad about annihilating the place with all the husky fluff during our self-wash and was helpful with the whole process. Many types of shampoo/conditioner in house along with brushes and ear cleaning supplies. Reasonable prices and $1 off if you pay in cash!

So happy to find this place! So much easier to bath than in the tub at home. Our pug loves it!

Dexter's first bath at Shampooch! Finishing up blow drying love our first experience, he did really good!

The place was clean everything was well organized and the staff were very helpful friendly. We will be returning for Dexter's next self grooming service

Shampooch, the do-it-yourself-dogwash place, is awesome! The tubs are nice and high, they have little poles to clip your dog's lead, the shower heads are easy to use, they have about 7 different soaps (including dirty dog & flea soap), strong doggie driers AND all sorts of brushes, clippers & shredders for use. Prices seem pretty great (I haven't priced this type of business before): a small dog is $10 to dogs over 100 lbs for about $20. You pay a couple bucks more for long hair. They will wash your dog also: again, really good prices, starting at $20 and going up, depending on the size of your dog & the condition of their coat. GIVEN FOUR STARS: I could give this place a five just for the facilities, and the staff really is great. BUT - I think it's important to know that one of the owners is not confident clipping nails. The taller woman with wavy hair is awesome and fast. The other woman took a long time, didn't trim very well (barely cut anything off) and her discomfort transferred to my dog, who started to get anxious. Don't get me wrong, it's cheap and overall they get a big A - but I'd hate anyone to go in & not have a heads up for potential trouble areas.

Even after filling out forms in their office at drop off, they still messed up our boarding. This place has been trusted with our baby, but now not feeling it. The…read morereason I can't give 5 stars and why I probably won't be returning are just inconveniences on my end: Their meet and greet will expire in 6 months if you do not use their services for that long, and you must repay the fee of $30. The $30 does not get you a free day of daycare like many other facilities. So if you board infrequently (like me) you have to repeat the process everytime. I also think some wording on the website needs to be changed. On the FAQ for boarding, it reads to bring food in a "a re-sealable bag as kibble oxidizes quickly which results in substantial nutrient loss." Most places want the food in something re-seable for the reason stated in the quote, however this isn't the reason I was told at drop off; their reason is due to convenience for the caretakers. What they mean to say is food MUST be *pre-measured* *per meal* and *individually* bagged in ziploc bags otherwise there's a fee. This was not told to me until I dropped off my dog with her sealed food container and measured food cup. They then said it would be a $15 bagging fee. I did receive a text before my dog boarded that I can go over the email about boarding reminders however I never got any emails, my confirmations were done through text with an email receipt sent at the end of her stay. No big deal, I didn't think much of it because I got confirmation/reminder texts of her stay and I had read the website/FAQs multiple times to make sure I did not miss anything. I don't even own ziploc bags because I think it's wasteful and I don't like surprise fees because this information should've been readily available on the website (even if that information was in that missing email). I was about to run down the street and grab a $1 box because my dog was only staying 3 nights, but a different worker than the one checking me in overheard and helped me out, so that was appreciated!

My dogs are usually with me all the time and I am very hesitant to leave them anywhere without giving two hours worth of instructions. Yes, I'm THAT kind of pet parent. Anyways, I stopped by to check out Linn's place before I took my dogs there and it seemed like a great place and all the dogs seemed happy to be there. She showed me around all the areas that the dogs would be in and I liked that it was very much a home environment, instead of doggie daycares that seem very sterile and not like home. It really is like a little dog adventure land that they can explore the many yards and decks and different areas. After the first night I left my dogs there, I ended up staying longer than expected and having my dogs stay there on five different occasions, one that lasted 4 nights. Each time I felt more and more comfortable and really left my dogs knowing they were in good hands and when I dropped them off and picked them up they were happy -- not scared, anxious or hesitant at all. This is something, especially for my newest dog we rescued from an abusive home just four months ago and he is very timid around most people and new environments. There are also cameras you can check on your pets on, although I never downloaded the app or website. That's how comfortable I was, I didn't feel I needed to check on them. Although I appreciated the picture and video updates that Linn sent me! The price is quite reasonable, but don't forget to leave a little extra if you really appreciate the care your pets have gotten, because she works really hard for the little she charges. Especially with my dogs, I know they're a handful! She is also willing to work with you on pickup and drop-off times and she ensures you are the only person dropping off so it is easy for all involved. The extra gates also give peace of mind your dogs won't escape on accident or if they're looking for an adventure, as mine oftentimes do. Linn really has thought of everything here, and my dogs enjoy staying overnight and playing with all of the other dogs who come here. I just wish I could find a place like this in California, but I'll be back next time I'm in town and know that I can leave my dogs safely while I'm away.

Mel put as much love and care into creating the resort that she does into taking care of her pups! She kept in touch with us regularly, sharing pictures, and giving updates. We had a deeply upsetting experience with Wet Nose and feel compelled to share our story so others…read morecan make informed decisions. We adopted our dog after being told she was completely healthy with no medical concerns. Within 24 hours of bringing her home, she became critically ill and required three days of emergency hospitalization for severe infection, dehydration, and significant weight loss. We spent nearly $4,000 in vet bills to save her life. After requesting her medical records (which were only given to us AFTER we adopted her), we learned she had undergone major abdominal surgery just days before adoption, including treatment for a ruptured spleen and torn ligaments. She was prescribed medications that were never provided to us (or even disclosed to us) and her discharge paperwork clearly required 10 days of strict bed rest -- yet we adopted her on day five. She had been transported from Texas through Saving Hope Animal Rescue, and it is unacceptable that a dog recovering from major surgery was transported and placed for adoption without full medical disclosure or proper follow-up care. When we contacted Wet Nose for accountability and assistance with medical bills, they refused to help and claimed they were unaware of her medical history. Any responsible rescue should obtain complete medical records and ensure a dog is medically cleared before adoption. I even contacted local shelters asking if this was standard practice, and they were completely shocked at how this situation was handled. I know we are not the only story of this happening. Please do your research on this shelter, there are hundreds of Instagram, Facebook and reddit stories sharing similar experiences. Sharing my story isn't "online slander," it's transparency and holding people accountable. I love my dog so much and am glad she's on the mend, but this situation is completely unacceptable. Wet Nose clearly prioritized profit over animal safety.
