His next grooming Bubbles and Bows fixed the hack job from the other unmentionable place, and he looked SO GOOD!! I will ALWAYS come back to Bubbles and Bows!!! Even if I have to wait!! The ladies there are fabulous!! They are so great at what they do, they're super nice, good with the dogs, and Theo comes out looking fantastic!!! This review is long overdue. We got our rescue dog in 2020. She had been at a puppy mill all her life and was generally really nervous with strangers. When we reached out to Donna and team it was a bit of a wait to get her in but totally worth it. They took all our notes about her background into consideration and were super patient with her. It got to a point where she enjoyed going to get groomed. In addition to just doing a great job and working well with our fur baby the team made booking regular appointments super easy and held our regular a lot every six weeks or so and would have her next appointment booked when we came to pick her up. We recently relocated out of state and I was very nervous about finding a new groomer. Donna and team once again went above and beyond and provided guidance in a typed letter about how to groom Evie and her personality. It was incredibly helpful to the new groomer. They also sent us off with a lovely card. We REALLY miss Bubbles and Bows and if you have a chance to take your pooch here definitely go. Chaotic environment, a little hard to communicate with the staff. We were first timers, and weren't very happy with the cut. Groomer did not pay close attention to the face and tail area which is very important for our breed. Possibly would go back, not sure yet. read more

I came in today 7/24/2020 around 12:45. Customer service was good in the beginning. I pick up my dog at 2:45 and was happy about his hair cut and groom except for the fact that they didn't specifically tell me nor showed how they cut both of his nails too short to the point where they were bleeding!!! I have previously mentioned before AND after that he has anxiety with cutting nails! Sadly, I didn't realize until I went home. I've been to many groomers and this has NEVER happened. 2 nails, both front paws. 1 much more severe than the other. There was no discount/reduced price and all they said was that the nails were the hardest to do. Nothing about blood, pain, or accident when I paid. Extremely disappointed and feared that this would happen when taking my puppy to a PROFESSIONAL. Their online mission statement includes "Caring and careful grooming for your pet". Extremely hypocritical. I definitely do NOT recommend unless you want your dog to come out either injured or with increased anxiety! I have worked at a customer service job and the way they hid the fact that this had happened was not morally right nor professional. read more

I was searching for a groomer for my Persian and reached out to Bubbles and Bows. A woman called me back last week, we talked about what I wanted and set an appointment for the following Saturday morning. I checked the website before I left my house in Olympia, and it said they didn't open until 9am. I called and left a message because my appointment was at 8:30, and I wanted to make sure they were open. I was almost there and I got a call from a woman who said I didn't have an appointment and they wouldn't take my cat. She said she asked everyone and nobody recalled speaking to me. Clearly the woman who called and spoke with me a week prior didn't put my appointment in the books, and wouldn't admit her mistake. I was told they don't take cats on Saturday when I spoke to someone this morning, but when I was called last week I told the woman I could ONLY come Saturday and she said that was fine. Today I was offered to reschedule on Wednesday, again, I am only available on the weekends and like I would book an appointment with a company that clearly doesn't write them down and wastes potential clients time. I have brought my golden here three to four times now. I haven't always brought my 7.5 year old guy to a groomers. So from our first to our more recent visit today - I have learned so much about how to ask for the groom/cut I want for him. They have been so flexible and patient and kind to my sensitive guy(I'm obviously projecting here). I shared his last cut wasn't exactly what i wanted. They in turn- asked more clarifying questions, and elicited from me the cut I wanted. I feel really comfortable leaving him to them- as I have learned from experience they are so caring and so responsive to my adjusting my feedback. I even scheduled ahead of time a follow up visit - bc I am confident he will need a trim and they will be the best folks to provide it. I apologize for not knowing the woman's name who groomed my guy today- but she was the same person whom groomed him last time. Do you know how hard it is to find a cat groomer? I've looked for so long to find not just a cat groomer but also one with availability sooner than months out. My cat was very well taken care of & he had complete grooming with a flea bath treatment all for half the price we pay for our dog to get groomed at Petco. To whomever reads this review, I hope you find it helpful. This is a several months old review that's long overdue. Back in Feb, my family and I adopted an 8yr old Shiba Inu from a foster family because the original owner wasn't able to care for him. Within a day of adopting him, we knew he was in need of a bath-having spent most of his days outside. Admittedly, we did try to go to a closer groomers, but couldn't because of needing Vet's papers on immunizations and what not-things we didn't have much less couldn't obtain from the original owner. All this just to get his nails cut mind you. Found this place via Yelp reviews and decided to check it out. Because it's been a few months, I couldn't tell you who did his grooming but it was at least 2 women-1 to cut and the other to "calm" him down due to his anxiety (a trait this type of dog has). They were done in about 10 mins. Can't show you the end product but hopefully a pic of my dog will suffice. Thanks for taking good care of my family's dog. Great dog grooming salon here in Tacoma. They really cut my yorkies hair specifically how I want it and listen to your needs. I also really like how they cut my dogs' faces. Their faces are cut in a way that they keep a cute babydoll face. It's hard to explain, bit if you have ever gone to a dog groomer and they don't cut their face correctly, or cut their muzzle too much, it makes their faces look ugly. But not here! They cut dog faces super cute! Appointments are easy to get. I do wish they had an online appointment scheduling system though. But calling them for an appointment is not a problem at all! I just prefer to be able to schedule my appointments online myself. Highly recommend this dog groomer if you are in the Tacoma area! read more

I will be back because it is so hard finding a groomer you can trust. I winter in AZ. & didn't know they were even there until I drove by one day. We have been dedicated clients for years... Do NOT go to bubbles and bows!! We had to stop going there, last time we were there the workers were yelling at the dogs to calm down, being mean to them, and yanking out hair it was awful! Right in front of us! I'm still baffled I saw this happen... It made my mom and I sick. I complained to the lady who was checking us out. She didn't care whatsoever, said she didn't hear or see anything. That she would talk to her employee. Right after that the girl started making the dog cry in pain again. I said your hurting that dog please stop it. She just laughed and said it was fine. Said the dog is just a rough one. Seriously not okay!!! If you can't handle the dog without hurting it mentally and physically then don't service that dog! I can still hear that poor pups high pitched scream. Who knows what she did to our dogs and how many times... probably traumatized them. Don't trust them to provide adequate care to your pets. read more

I had to wait a bit to be acknowledged at the counter which is not a good customer service move, and they didn't call me when my dog was ready, but think they are more of an operations mindset and just need more time. This place is amazing. We take our little monster dog here to get her nails clipped and it changed our life. She is blind and extremely anxious and clipping her nails was a relationship-damaging battle. Now, we take her in, somebody confidently and kindly cuts her nails, and we're done within minutes. Take your babies somewhere else! Dropped my dog off and she was there for 4 hours which is way too long in the first place and I should have followed my gut and not left her... went back after 3 hours and 40 mins hoping that she would be done by then and other dogs were being worked on so I was told they needed 20 more mins to finish mine who was crying in a crate. Come back 20 mins later to the worst haircut I've ever seen. Still tipped 18% cause that's just how I am even though it's so clear that ever after being there 4 hours the haircut was literally done in the last 10 mins I have never seen something like this. Since we got home this afternoon my dog can barely open her left eye and it's just watering and watering when I try and open it to look it's as red as can be and clearly painful. So I have no clue what happened to her eye and that's just the icing on the cake. Super super unhappy with this place today for making my dog sit 4 hours in a kennel clearly anxious and crying, spending maybe 10 mins giving her a horrendous haircut, and hurting her eye. read more

I came to Bubbles and Bows at my neighbor's recommendation, and I won't go anywhere else. Donna and Stacy love what they do and it shows. They are patient and kind with their clients. I brought my Shih Tzu puppy to them as soon as she had all her shots and they helped to train her to be handled by people other than myself a little bit of cleaning and cutting at first, gradually increasing service as my dog has gotten older. Their prices are very reasonable. We have witnessed just how gentle and loving, but also effective and professional they are with the dogs.
