Evie post groom!
Kahliah L.

This review is long overdue. We got our rescue dog in 2020. She had been at a puppy mill all her life and was generally really nervous with strangers. When we reached out to Donna and team it was a bit of a wait to get her in but totally worth it. They took all our notes about her background into consideration and were super patient with her. It got to a point where she enjoyed going to get groomed. In addition to just doing a great job and working well with our fur baby the team made booking regular appointments super easy and held our regular a lot every six weeks or so and would have her next appointment booked when we came to pick her up. We recently relocated out of state and I was very nervous about finding a new groomer. Donna and team once again went above and beyond and provided guidance in a typed letter about how to groom Evie and her personality. It was incredibly helpful to the new groomer. They also sent us off with a lovely card. We REALLY miss Bubbles and Bows and if you have a chance to take your pooch here definitely go. Excellent grooming and customer service wonderful staff.

cut, groomers, blood, nails

I came in today 7/24/2020 around 12:45. Customer service was good in the beginning. I pick up my dog at 2:45 and was happy about his hair cut and groom except for the fact that they didn't specifically tell me nor showed how they cut both of his nails too short to the point where they were bleeding!!! I have previously mentioned before AND after that he has anxiety with cutting nails! Sadly, I didn't realize until I went home. I've been to many groomers and this has NEVER happened. 2 nails, both front paws. 1 much more severe than the other. There was no discount/reduced price and all they said was that the nails were the hardest to do. Nothing about blood, pain, or accident when I paid. Extremely disappointed and feared that this would happen when taking my puppy to a PROFESSIONAL. Their online mission statement includes "Caring and careful grooming for your pet". Extremely hypocritical. I definitely do NOT recommend unless you want your dog to come out either injured or with increased anxiety! I have worked at a customer service job and the way they hid the fact that this had happened was not morally right nor professional.

I took my "spicy" tortie in for her yearly lion shave. They do a fantastic job at handling the spunk and sass she has! I started coming here last year and wont go anywhere else!

Proof I was called last Saturday.

I was searching for a groomer for my Persian and reached out to Bubbles and Bows. A woman called me back last week, we talked about what I wanted and set an appointment for the following Saturday morning. I checked the website before I left my house in Olympia, and it said they didn't open until 9am. I called and left a message because my appointment was at 8:30, and I wanted to make sure they were open. I was almost there and I got a call from a woman who said I didn't have an appointment and they wouldn't take my cat. She said she asked everyone and nobody recalled speaking to me. Clearly the woman who called and spoke with me a week prior didn't put my appointment in the books, and wouldn't admit her mistake. I was told they don't take cats on Saturday when I spoke to someone this morning, but when I was called last week I told the woman I could ONLY come Saturday and she said that was fine. Today I was offered to reschedule on Wednesday, again, I am only available on the weekends and like I would book an appointment with a company that clearly doesn't write them down and wastes potential clients time. Super flaky company- find someone that won't waste your time!

I have brought my golden here three to four times now. I haven't always brought my 7.5 year old guy to a groomers. So from our first to our more recent visit today - I have learned so much about how to ask for the groom/cut I want for him. They have been so flexible and patient and kind to my sensitive guy(I'm obviously projecting here). I shared his last cut wasn't exactly what i wanted. They in turn- asked more clarifying questions, and elicited from me the cut I wanted. I feel really comfortable leaving him to them- as I have learned from experience they are so caring and so responsive to my adjusting my feedback. I even scheduled ahead of time a follow up visit - bc I am confident he will need a trim and they will be the best folks to provide it. I apologize for not knowing the woman's name who groomed my guy today- but she was the same person whom groomed him last time. Thank you- for being patient with me- and eliciting from exactly what i wanted. She had kindness, love for my wiggly guy and did fantastic. Thank you so much!

Matte's shaved off nicely

What a great place. So happy I found it. I took my cat to get some Matte's shaved & boy did they do a great job. I'm so thankful to have all Mr CornWallis's matte's removed. Would definitely recommend. I found the information on their website about their experience very helpful too

To whomever reads this review, I hope you find it helpful. This is a several months old review that's long overdue. Back in Feb, my family and I adopted an 8yr old Shiba Inu from a foster family because the original owner wasn't able to care for him. Within a day of adopting him, we knew he was in need of a bath-having spent most of his days outside. Admittedly, we did try to go to a closer groomers, but couldn't because of needing Vet's papers on immunizations and what not-things we didn't have much less couldn't obtain from the original owner. All this just to get his nails cut mind you. Found this place via Yelp reviews and decided to check it out. Because it's been a few months, I couldn't tell you who did his grooming but it was at least 2 women-1 to cut and the other to "calm" him down due to his anxiety (a trait this type of dog has). They were done in about 10 mins. Can't show you the end product but hopefully a pic of my dog will suffice. Thanks for taking good care of my family's dog. Highly recommend for any pet owner. 2 Paws up!

So happy to have rediscovered Donna, who I entrusted my pup to for boarding and grooming many years ago at Donna's Ark.

K9 Design Grooming Salon

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Most loving dog owners know how hard it is to find…read morea grooming salon you can truly trust. I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

Australian shepherds have very thick double coats, she requires grooming at least every six weeks. From the front desk, all the way back to the groomers they're always so professional, and Mila is always so extremely eager and happy to go there; that says so much. I've had my fair share of very bad grooming experiences, with this very dog. K9 Design Grooming Salon has changed my perspective and Mila's perspective on grooming experiences. We used to live extremely close to the Salon, but we recently bought a house in Olympia and still make the drive! We love K9 Design Grooming!!

We took our 7-month-old Dachshund puppy, Chewy, to Soggy Doggy yesterday evening for a nail trim shortly before closing time, and unfortunately, the experience was very upsetting for both our puppy and us. During the nail trim, Chewy yelped multiple times in discomfort, which immediately concerned us. What stood out most to me was that the same nail appeared to be trimmed repeatedly several times, and each time Chewy reacted more anxiously and vocally. As a pet owner, I found it difficult to watch, and it left me feeling uncomfortable about the handling process. I understand that puppies can sometimes be nervous during grooming, and nail trims are not always easy. However, we have previously taken Chewy to other grooming establishments, including Petco and PetSmart, for nail trims and have never experienced this level of distress from him before. I was also surprised that during the nail trim, we were asked questions about Chewy's diet and food choices. While I understand businesses may offer additional services or products, I personally felt that the focus at that moment should have remained on carefully completing the nail trim and ensuring our puppy was comfortable and calm. At the end of the appointment, Chewy also left with a noticeable hangnail. We declined the nail buffing add-on service, but even so, I did not expect his nails to be left in that condition after the trim. Overall, this experience left us questioning the level of handling, training, and attention to pet comfort during grooming services. As pet owners, we trust groomers and staff with the safety and well-being of our animals, and unfortunately, this visit did not leave us feeling confident. Because of this experience, we will not be returning with Chewy in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as gentle handling, professionalism, and pet comfort are extremely important, especially with young puppies who are still learning to trust grooming experiences.

I was told she was offered a great deal for the rental and some homemade dog treats. Parking was a bit confusing as the parking nearby the business was full and there was a spot that we think was free to use but not sure. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who let us in and the space is huge! There were plenty of toys, a dog pool, and little obstacles for dogs to enjoy to their hearts' content! They even have a hose to fill up the pool or just have your dogs chase around. There were little cubbies and lots of areas to hang leashes, coats, and other stuff on. They had Youtube videos playing too. The dog treats were so creative. They had cannoli, biscuits, and much more. All of our dogs seemed to have enjoy the treats greatly, no treats were left behind. All of the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves as they just had so much to do or other dogs to play with. Definitely look forward to coming back here to throw future dog parties as our group loves to do little events for our fur babies.

This place is super cute decor with friendly and kind staff, but what makes me nervous is how tiny…read moreit is with how many dogs they allow. It made me wonder about the ratio balance between humans vs dogs. I had dropped my dog off for a behavioral assessment, as we have trips coming up and I'm looking for boarding care. This is not where I'm personally comfortable leaving my pup, as the ratio seemed to be 1 human to 15 or 20 dogs in an indoor-only, less than 1500sq foot space. The good news is they are so kind and nice humans, if I was rating them they'd earn 5+++ stars as I'd leave my dog in their care anytime! The problem I had was the physical space (super tiny!) and the ratio of dogs, as they allowed 3 or 4 pups to greet my dog while 15 or so were in a hallway-type space patiently waiting and sooooo well-behaved, to greet and play. The space for playing is very limited, about 1/2 the size of a classroom, and while it's clean and the staff are super lovely, it's probably not the best fit for our pup who loves to play fetch and run. Parking is also super tricky in this neighborhood, as there isn't a parking lot or spaces reserved for the business.
