We have used this place for years for our fur baby. Don't know if the staff has changed or what but the service has gone downhill. Even after filling out forms in their office at drop off, they still messed up our boarding. This place has been trusted with our baby, but now not feeling it. I've done daycare and boarding here with them and my dog was happy and healthy both times! The reason I can't give 5 stars and why I probably won't be returning are just inconveniences on my end: Their meet and greet will expire in 6 months if you do not use their services for that long, and you must repay the fee of $30. The $30 does not get you a free day of daycare like many other facilities. So if you board infrequently (like me) you have to repeat the process everytime. I also think some wording on the website needs to be changed. On the FAQ for boarding, it reads to bring food in a "a re-sealable bag as kibble oxidizes quickly which results in substantial nutrient loss." Most places want the food in something re-seable for the reason stated in the quote, however this isn't the reason I was told at drop off; their reason is due to convenience for the caretakers. What they mean to say is food MUST be *pre-measured* *per meal* and *individually* bagged in ziploc bags otherwise there's a fee. This was not told to me until I dropped off my dog with her sealed food container and measured food cup. They then said it would be a $15 bagging fee. I did receive a text before my dog boarded that I can go over the email about boarding reminders however I never got any emails, my confirmations were done through text with an email receipt sent at the end of her stay. No big deal, I didn't think much of it because I got confirmation/reminder texts of her stay and I had read the website/FAQs multiple times to make sure I did not miss anything. I don't even own ziploc bags because I think it's wasteful and I don't like surprise fees because this information should've been readily available on the website (even if that information was in that missing email). I was about to run down the street and grab a $1 box because my dog was only staying 3 nights, but a different worker than the one checking me in overheard and helped me out, so that was appreciated! read more

Do NOT take your dog to Biscuits. Our 1.5 year old puppy had to have emergency dental surgery after picking him up from a daycare visit, dripping in blood. A broken lower canine tooth was removed, along with the tooth next to it, and he had to have two layers of stitches to sew up a huge laceration on his tongue. The way in which Biscuits responded to this emergency situation, is troubling. Biscuits staff stated that they "weren't concerned about blood loss" and told my husband that he could "finish out his work day" before picking our dog up. My husband arrived shortly after the phone call, thankfully, because our fur baby had to have 100 ml of blood pumped from his throat upon arrival to the Vet. If we would have waited an additional 4 hours to address his condition... To make a bad situation much worse, the owner treated me horribly when I visited to find out what happened (since Biscuits' staff told my husband that they "found him like that in his kennel.") They refused to allow me to see the space where the incident happened, and did not answer my questions about what the schedule of his day looked like, leading up to the incident. I did piece together that my dog bled in his kennel for 1.5 hours before they discovered that he was injured. My experience makes me very concerned for the well being of other dogs in the care of Biscuits Doggie Daycare. So many red flags about this business and owner. The dogs sit in kennels all day. That's why they don't give you tours. They play dressup and take pictures to make you think the dogs are having fun. It's horrible. I'm SO glad that I no longer have plans to board my dog there for a whole week at a time. Please spread the word to other families, not to take your dog to Biscuits. Staff was generally not helpful and didn't seem to genuinely care for my dog. Was asked not to come back after our first visit because my dog became nervous around new people was defensive over his food in his personal kennel space (We made them aware he gets nervous and stand off ish towards new people) . I felt like we were lied to over what happened while he was at daycare and we did not receive any updates or pictures. I highly do not recommend. read more

Our dog has been coming here for a few months now, we've never had a problem here until recently. Since day one we've made the staff aware our dog has certain triggers and anxiety due to past poor experiences with other daycares and groomers mishandling him. I fully expressed he's been aggressive towards me before even bringing him in but it was out of fear so just treat him gently but he loves people and other dogs. They were appreciative I was honest and assured me it was no problem "lots of dogs have different triggers" and he passed their evaluation just fine. The last time (maybe 2 weeks ago) he stayed there for daycare as I picked him up I was informed he had snapped and bit one of their staff members. I was extremely confused but also obviously apologetic. Staff came out and said they approached him and tried to take something straight from his mouth. (Which I feel you shouldn't do with any dog but ok) She admitted she shouldn't have done that and I told her he will drop anything if you just verbally tell him to, don't try and take stuff from him. She agreed and said "I will definitely do that next time, it's my bad." I still felt awful and apologized. I was informed he was still allowed back and it wasn't a big deal at all. I called today, as I was planning to take my dog there over the weekend just to make sure everything was okay from last time before I bring him by. Receptionist/Staff member on the phone informed me "Yes of course! We love him!" and was told everything was great and there were no negative notes in his file. 10 minutes later I received a phone call from them again, a different staff member (She did not tell me her name) sternly informed me that the receptionist was "wrong" and my dog was no longer allowed back because he was aggressive... ?? Even though she admitted it was her fault and that he's great and they all love him. I'm extremely disappointed with how this whole ordeal was handled and I feel like my poor dog who struggles with anxiety and chronic pain was left shunned. Poor communication on their part. I took my dog to Biscuits for the first time on Monday for a "Meet & Greet". The facility looks clean and very open spaced which I think is great for playing doggos. The staff were helpful and friendly and answered any questions I had. The only thing I wish were better is the intro. I would've liked to see where he would be playing, going outside and what the kennels look like. I also think my guy would need more rest time than typical, he came home absolutely exhausted after only 4 hours. read more

We were wondering why we didn't get any cute photos of our dog hanging out with 'friends' at Biscuits... it was the one thing that made us feel better about paying the already high overnight rate, knowing she was getting social time while away from home. Guess that's no longer the case. When I picked up my dog from a 3 night stay, and asked how her time with the other dogs went. I was informed that since we didn't pay to 'upgrade' her stay, she was isolated from the other dogs!!! What used to be included is now at least $65 a night if you want your dog to have any social or play time!!! Basically I was told that we didn't choose to pay to give her some playtime... I'm so curious as to how it could possible cost $20 to let her play a bit?! Crazy! Well, mystery solved, if you don't pay, you don't play! For all you Doggy Parents out there, this doggy daycare is the best in Tacoma. I recently moved 30 minutes away, and not once did we think of changing our pup's daycare. Call ahead and schedule an appointment if you're thinking of dropping off your pup for the first time. The process is smooth and easy. They will check to see if your beloved pooch gets along with the other pups in daycare. Which is important, I was worried that Kida would be scared but she wasn't. They give you updates and pictures of how much fun your dog is doing. The prices are decent, 20 something visits ( all day) for 500 bucks. I've used their grooming services, and there is never a complaint. My dog is always so happy and exhausted after a day of fun. Boarding overnight is always a plus as well! read more

I'm really sad to be writing this review and not giving the full 5 stars. Our dog loves this place for daycare and overnight care. A little bit ago they stopped allowing pick up on Sundays which made us pay a whole extra day. Then starting in 2020, they have completely changed their pricing and have made it more expensive than we can afford. What used to be $50 is now anywhere from $65-$90 depending on the "service" you choose. For $45 they will take our dog but leave him in the kennel all day. Now we will be looking elsewhere for other daycare and boarding options. read more

Our dog absolutely loved going to Biscuits before they changed the pricing. What was originally $30(ish) dollars a day was raised to $47 for "elite" daycare service. There is no option to have the standard doggy daycare. This is being sold at being so much better for the pups, and I understand the need to evolve and enhance the business, but I also think that Biscuits severely underestimated who their clients were. I live in the south end because its simply more affordable than Seattle. Charging Seattle prices or more - $44.00 per day at City Dog in downtown Seattle - is excessive. Unfortunately due to the pricing increase we have had to take our pup elsewhere. Biscuits staff earned this place an extra star because the employees were always kind and welcoming to us. read more

We are giving three stars because we have family who goes here and they love it. Our experience was a little strange, and the only reason we are sharing is because when we look for daycares for our pup, we like to know as much information as possible about the place before we head in. We've had our dog for 5 years, and he has always been going to the top daycares where we live. The last one being Wags and Wiggles in Tustin (if you ever find yourself in Orange County, check them out--top notch). He has loved all of them, and never had an issue at any of them. Today, he had his meet and greet, and they called us after 15 min and told us he needed to be picked up because he didn't pass. The young man at the front desk told us he thought the other daycares must have lied to us about our dog. The place seems nice, and I know people like it, so I think it is worth a shot. But I get a little nervous about them when this is the only place that he has ever felt as nervous or uncomfortable as they say he was. I love this place. My dog loves this place. My dog does not want to leave when we go to pick her up. I appreciate how organized they are and how they seem to care about the dogs and they have a lot of fun with them. Other places I visited, the staff looked incredibly bored or annoyed and there just was not a good vibe. Biscuits has a great vibe. I also appreciate the fact that they allow the dogs to rest in private suites from time to time so they don't get overstimulated, which can lead to more restless behavior I have found. They give them just the right amount of activity and rest. Other places often do not. Other places will often keep them in a big room all day and night without any time to rest on their own for periods. My dog needs activity but also rest time alone too. The only drawback to this place, for me, is that they allow pit bulls. Having been attacked myself and also witnessed other dog attacks by pit bulls, this is not something I am thrilled about. But when I asked the staff about this, they assured me that every dog is fully vetted and no aggressive dogs are allowed in. So I just have to trust them on that. And I do. So far so good. And they are the experts on dog behavior and I am not. And I realize my prejudices are due to past experiences and not everyone has had those experiences. One other minor negative is that they are not good at responding to emails on time. I know they are super busy and I know they just hired six more staff members due to their growth, so hopefully, that will get better too. They are still a 5-star place in my book. The best part is, my dog's behavior has gotten better since she has been there. I know they work on some training which is a huge plus. read more

What a wonderful place to give your beloved doggy some time to be taken care of while you just run some important errands for an hour or a few, or take off for the weekend or week!! Located in the old Highland Hill Music Center Building (or if you're old enough to remember, the KFC store) - right on 6th Avenue across from the Swasey branch of the Tacoma Public Library... but the building has been completely redone. It's really nice inside and out!! Complete redo of an older building that brings it totally back to life... nicely done! On our way to LA Fitness, we've been following the renovation of this building for some time - and often having need to put our little Molly (Shih-Tzu) somewhere for a few hours from time to time were really hoping that Biscuits Doggie Daycare could fill that need. So today we decided to try them out, and we're glad we did. The lodging rates are great - and the lobby and dog areas are clean, tidy and in great shape. The owners have spent a lot of time (and money I'm sure) on detail and quality. There's a dog run along the East side, with what I consider to be pretty clever and high-tech ways to deal with waste. No odor or mess was visible despite having many dogs here all the time. We opted for the "1/2 day stay" of 6 hours or less, and also for the "Dog Wash" - both were competitively priced and done with care. We were even texted photos of our Molly as she romped about the place with owners Jesse and Nichole - our doggy clearly was having a good time with them, and it was nice to receive pix as we took care of errands. We pulled back into the parking lot somewhat stealthily just to peek in - and sure enough, there was Jesse cuddling our dog in his lap, watching cartoons with her! No kidding... how cool is that? If you're looking for a place like this as we were, where you can safely and comfortably house your dog - whether tiny or large - for a few hours or a lot longer, I think that Biscuits should be a place you consider. We've used a few other places, and have zero connection other than being customers - but overall, we think that Biscuits is a great place to "give your beloved doggy a home away from home" for a few hours or for days on end. I am so disappointed with their change in rates. We were not informed that it was going to cost us almost $50 to have our dog there today when I made the reservation. I thought their "elite service" was something you had to opt into. It sounded to me like a new name for the option we used to have to pay for extra entertainment for our dogs. Could not be happier with the doggie daycare than I am with biscuits. Nicole Jessie and James are always smiling and happy and loving towards my two dogs. My boys were at another daycare downtown while I was working however circumstances brought about a change. I was very hesitant to leave them somewhere where I didn't know the people. Both the dogs had the two hour meet and greet and they couldn't have been happier. My chocolate lab is older and had been going to the previous daycare his entire life. This is the BEST place to take your dog whenever you need a couple of hours to run errands or to keep your pup busy while you're at work! Prior to taking our golden retriever puppy anywhere we researched a couple of other places which had OK reviews. When I came across Biscuits they not only had great reviews but when I called they were so informative and they stated the initial trial time would be free! From the very first day I took him there they have remembered me and our dog by name. Our puppy Sullivan is worn out every time he comes home and has so much fun. The staff are all so friendly and polite, not to mention the entire facility is super clean every time we go in. I also love that they post pictures to Facebook daily so I can see what our little guy is up to when he's there! :) I can tell you you will not be disappointed here! read more

All we can say is that our dog, Bruno, loves going to Biscuits. It is about the only thing he loves more than chasing rabbits and squirrels. Whenever we take him, he literally jumps out of the car and runs inside. The folks who run Biscuits, as well as all the staff, are great. Most of the time we drop him off for half days...which is a 6 hour period. He plays so hard that he needs a long nap when we get home. The cost is very reasonable. There is absolutely nothing about Biscuits that has been problematic. If you have a dog and you need to leave it to go to work or go to an appointment, you should consider Biscuits. Have been researching local day cares for weeks for the best fit for our 3 year old AmStaff mix. Settled on Biscuits because of the indoor and outdoor play spaces and all the positive reviews, only to call and learn in a 29 second phone call they breed-reject without even allowing a meet and greet. Absolutely disgusted that a company with such great reviews would be so close-minded in 2016. She's 45 lbs, has no bite history, has never demonstrated any aggression ever, but hey, she's a "Pit Bull" right!? Can't be trusted, site unseen. read more
