Julia did a 2 week board & train with our dog while we were traveling, mainly focusing on leash skills and practicing calm behavior around exciting things. Shaggy Shack Pet Resort returned my severely arthritic, disabled dog to me smelling of pee, a…read moresticky underbelly from laying in her pee, raw spots on her elbows, an elbow with dried blood, inflammation and swelling of both her elbows so severe that it shook with each step my dog would take, and pee on her food container. I put my dog into boarding August 17-21, 2023 with Shaggy Shack; Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. My dog has a muscle dystrophy disorder that effects anywhere in her body that has collagen. At less than 2 years old, she has severe arthritis in her elbows. I let Shaggy Shack know of her disorder prior to leaving her with them. I even wrote a note and taped it to her food container. I spoke with 2 workers, 1 manager, and then finally the owner. None of the stories matched with the others. When I spoke with Tonya, the owner, I explained how I received my dog and that her inflammation could only be that severe if she was not given her medication. Tonya said "the girls could have missed some medications, we're not perfect." I asked for a refund, to which she said "we won't be administering a refund because that would be admitting we did something wrong." My dog was returned to me with dried blood and sticky from pee, how is that right? I have no answers I'm satisfied with, only multiple stories of what may or may not have happened to my disabled dog. At this point, I paid to have her be grossly neglected. Tonya provided a med sheet 4 days later to try to claim they gave my dog her medication, even though my hydrotherapist (who I had look over my dog for other injuries) agreed her condition could've only been that bad if she had not received her medication. Tonya shifted the blame to me, saying "You chose to bring her to a highly stimulated setting instead of staying home with your handicapped pup." I trusted Shaggy Shack to care for my dog as if she were your own, as the website claims the business would do. I will not make that error again and suggest others not to as well. Do better.

Bernard loves playing with dogs, but when its raining at our normal spot he ends up sitting inside with some outside time and not a lot of dog socialization... or at least that is my guess. When he comes home on rainy days he is not all that tired. In fact he seems like he just hung around all day instead of playing. The first time we took him to Shaggy Shack it was raining and I thought he was going to come home not tired at all. Oh man was I wrong. He was knocked out and it was in a way that leads me to believe not only does he get to play with dogs, but he has moments of thinky time or play time with humans. I cant say for sure, but I love how he comes back those days. Clearly wore out from a day of fun. I really like this place but unfortunately its a bit of a drive to do daycare daily especially when we have an on base option right next to my wife's work. I will say though they are definitely going to be our go to for boarding. The one major downside to our normal spot is there are no options for drop off pick up on Sundays. A lot of our trip or time where we need to board is Just saturday evening. This gives us the opportunity to board and pick up when we return and not have to board an extra night. In addition we had a last minute boarding need when I was too lazy to get boarding scheduled at our normal spot and it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this place. Its not on base so anyone can use. The place is huge. Staff knowledgable and friendly and overall I have nothing but positives about here. I wish their location was closer, but thats not a negative, just a desire to make my life easier.

Ingredients included peppermint, lavender and rosemary oils. Next morning it was evident my cats were not feeling well. The hot line poison control vet recommended washing the spray off (with Dawn) ASAP. Can do for the girls. But for my 17lb male and a feral at birth, muscular male- H*ll No! My vet's receptionist recommended Clip and Clean. They were lovely and responsive, got us in that morning. The owner is the cat whisperer! I picked them up 2 hours later, clean as a whistle and the cheerful owner all in one piece. If 10 stars were available I would give them 20.

Love how accommodating and friendly Happy Dogs is! Staff are super sweet and kind to both humans and pets. Sheri, the owner, is wonderful and the entire team of humans are the best! I love the updates with photos of your pets and how they allow plenty of playtime and interaction for our pup, both indoor and outdoors. They also have added-on features like grooming/bathing and dog walking, which is great! I always feel relaxed and comfortable leaving my dog here and he gets excited and eager whenever we arrive to Happy Dog! He gets to roam around outside and play in addition to quiet-times indoors for napping and sleeping. The business operates with convenient hours M-F 6:30am-7pm, and weekends 8am-6pm with store closure during nap-time (11am-3pm) and they offer daycare so there's a lot of regular dogs here too. TEN STARS! I will start by telling you how anxious my…read morehusband and I have been about figuring out what to do with our dogs while we are gone for a few days. My little mutt was rescued from a shelter and seemed to be abused in her previous life. She is so sweet with us, but unless you are in her circle (which consists of myself, my husband, and my brother-in-law who lives with us), she will growl and bark at you if she catches you even glancing at her. That being said, she LOVES Happy Dog South Sound! Having never boarded my dogs, I had no idea what to expect, but the staff is so incredibly nice, patient, and helpful! I must have called a dozen times before we dropped our dogs off the first time, and then even AFTER the first time for follow-up questions. I am positive that they have caller-ID because when I called after their first visit, they referred to some details that made me think that they knew who I was. Even then, they were so pleasant to work with! NEWCOMERS: How it works is you need to call and schedule a day to take your pup or pups there for an initial "meet and greet." They can only do the meet and greets Monday-Friday when a manager is present, so be prepared for that. Depending on their availability, they can probably take you the next day. I had two dogs and travel for work, so I made the "reservation" a week in advance. You can drop your pup off between 7am and 9am and then pick them up starting at 3pm to I think 7pm. When you arrive in the morning, they will have you fill out some paperwork, and when you are done, they'll take your pup(s) inside and that's it! When you go to pick up your pup(s), they will tell you if your pup(s) passed or not. If so, then you will receive an email to register for their reservation site called Gingr. The site is easy to use! We've since dropped our dogs off for daycare again, and they brought out a credit card machine when I picked up my dogs, so make sure you have your card with you when you go up to the door! The meet and greet is free, so you won't experience this the first time you go.
