This is a cute shop. We're traveling with 2 dogs so we stopped in to get some dog cookies. They sell little pales that you can fill to your desire (price is based on weight.). My 2 were in having sniffing and trying to take samples. I was shocked at how affordable the pail was.... I would get 1/2 a container of milkbones for this price. We came here as we needed to stock up on some dog food as we ran out and needed some more during our trip in Oregon. This Mud Bay happened to be close by the hotel we were staying at and we were welcomed warmly by the staff members there. The staff members were very friendly and told us that we could ask them any questions if we had any and were polite with our dogs. We got what we needed fast as everything in the store was well organized and labeled for what we were looking for. I also love that the water bowl was clean and filled with lots of water as we were traveling and our dogs were quite parched from the long drive. Once we found everything we needed, we went up to the cashier, Kessandra T. and had a quick and pleasant transaction. They even added extra treats for our puppies to have a great trip. We love Mud Bay and it was great to have the same awesome service here as we are from Washington! read more

I wish they would label all collars To be quick release or not I purchased a color that I thought was a cat collar and quick release. It was a thin, black nylon collar with reflective letters that said mudbay. I'm not quite sure which section it was in, but I thought it was a quick release cat collar it was not me and the cat had a terrible accident where she tried to get the collar off herself she got her lower jaw, stuck under the collar and, she panicked she almost went through glass window. She was in flight and response as she was in pain, trying to get it off herself.. it took me two of the neighbors to be able to capture her and hold her still long enough to wear. We were able to safely cut the collar off of her when I called. I was told by a lady on the phone they keep dog collars in the dog area, which to me was her just trying to be defensive. I am hoping that they will tag these collars appropriately read more

Because we regularly buy a certain size and flavor of dog food that is not normally stocked at this location, the manager has put in a special order for us, every couple weeks, so that there's always some on the shelf for us. Today I found out from a chatty and knowledgeable clerk...that this mudbay will no longer make reoccurring special orders for customers. Because the manager who did this for us is gone. And catering to local customer needs "is less efficient". Ummm okay then. So I guess we must now go to another location to woo a manager into a reoccurring special order scenario. Lame. read more

I can't say enough good things about the staff. My Charlie Chibbychops has food allergies a sensitive stomach and picky eater. They have been so helpful with his ever evolving diet. Their can trials and return of unopened food has been a wallet saver too. read more

Mud Bay is ALWAYS the right choice. I've never been to a location where the employees aren't friendly, where the store isn't clean, or where I can't get help or free treats :) I loved this location because as the famous quote from Step Brothers says "there's so much room for activities!" This location is so much bigger than the location near my house where I usually go. But laid out the same, same great products, different employees but same friendly greeting and service. I know some people think that Mud Bay is too pricey but they don't carry friskies and gravy train products they carry better quality food and treats. The staff can help you find great products that suit your pets needs. I'd rather buy at Mud Bay and infuse money into a local business that has local employees who love their job and helping pet owners. All in all I LOVE Mud Bay. read more

They'll help you find whatever you're looking for whether it's the right type of food for your companion or something as fun as doggie birthday gifts. THE BEST! Look no further for your pet supplies. I know on the surface it can seem a bit pricey but honestly they are priced quite fairly compared to chewy, or other big name pet stores (coming from a coupon cutting, bargain hunter). Let's break it down on a few things - Location: very convenient parking, large store with big aisles and plenty of space, very organized, informative tags on the products, plenty of brochures with information on things like diet changes. Staff: the kindest people, always remember my pup, armed with treats for every dog and even considerate about allergies, so helpful - when they don't know the answer they are willing to find it for you, curbside service, delivery, what more can I say! Selection: they have my usual things I need like treats and toys, but they also have a great selection of premium food, dog ice cream, fun and locally made toys, about a million different treats you didn't know you wanted to spoil your fur baby with, and everything for walkies to bath time. I can't say enough how much I love these people and their wonderful store. I get just as excited as my puppy to go see them. read more

The staff at Mud Bay in Beaverton Town Center is great. Our dog has multiple myeloma cancer and is not eating. Matt, the manager, and Kasssandra helped us to try to find a dog food that he would like, or at least eat. They have some high-quality foods that you don't normally see elsewhere. I had the very best experience possible while I was here. I drove into Beaverton to pick up my sweet little mini goldendoodle, but unfortunately we didn't manage to get everything we needed before picking him up (that's my fault... I forgot it takes 3x as long to shop with a toddler in tow). I had found this store while googling pet stores near the breeder. On their website everything seemed to be comparable prices to the big stores, like Petco, so I decided that I'd rather go local (plus they seemed to carry higher quality food). When I walked in I was super overwhelmed since I was running late, tired of shopping with the toddler, and worried about driving through Portland traffic on my way home. I walked up to the check out desks and said to all of these lovely humans "I need help! I basically need someone to shop for me!" They we're so insanely accommodating and so patient with my toddler. One person came out and they took a photo of my sweet puppy (I should've gotten it... oops) and helped adjust the harness we were getting. They walked around grabbing stuff and bringing it to the cart and to the front desk while I tried to keep track of my little human. Honestly... I was like a chicken with its head cut off and they just handled everything for me. I could not be more grateful to them. They never once made me feel like my kid was a nuisance (and he was thank you very much). Honestly, I am so glad to have supported this local store and I will be back if I'm ever nearby when I need my doggy goods. If I lived nearby we would for sure be regulars. read more

I went there to get food for my puppy because he hasn't been eating his food. I got help from the manager Justin and he was extremely helpful. As soon as you walk in they greet you (great customer service-more places should learn from them) and Justin helped me the entire time and explained all of the foods. He gave me samples for my puppy to try and that I can return the food I bought if my dog didn't like it because they donate it to shelters, which is so great.
