My husband and I ordered through Doordash. I have a gluten intolerance, but there was no way to note that in the app. So I called the restaurant TWICE and spoke with a manager (so I was told). He assured me they would make sure that my meal was gluten free and made with corn tortillas. After I took a couple bites, I questioned whether they were corn. I called back and found out that they were not. I am now very sick. This restaurant needs to be MUCH more careful with food allergies and intolerances. I've really been wanting to try this place out because our normal Mexican spot is all the way in Columbia. So glad we found this neighborhood gem! We stopped in on a Wednesday night at 6 and were seated right away. Not sure if it gets crowded on the weekend but would assume so given how delicious the food is. The space is cute and the noise level was perfect for a date night. We both ordered drinks- me a mocktail and my husband the house margarita. Both were great! You could really taste the fresh juice in them. We ordered the guacamole to start and it was made fresh, right in front of us at the guacamole bar. Yes- I did say GUACAMOLE BAR. The chips were also homemade by the kitchen. I ordered the Birria tacos and my husband got the chicken fajitas. Both were delicious. The meat and consummé in the Birria tacos were extremely flavorful and I savored every bite. My husband inhaled his meal. We both left full and happy! Service was great! The hype got to me so I said, Micro Gusto deserves me time let's go dine...AND...I should've stayed my a** home. The service was decent, the food was nicely played but the state was..."Just okay"! Now as for the look and feel of the restaurant, it looks bigger from outside, and the decorations inside are nice. They do have live music weekly but that's it enough to get me back through the doors. The fact for me, there is no great Mexican food in the Crofton, Gambrills, Bowie area. And there is no good Mexican food. It's Al just okay and this place falls in that category. If you were raised on less flavorful food that represents the true culture of a people this is the place for you. Now I'll say this the alcoholic beverages are decent, and the salad they give you it's okay. The salad dressing is better. Stay away from the expensive queso, the portion is small and it lacks flavor. Come on!! It's cheese please do better por favor! The newest Mexican restaurant in the Crofton area is set in shopping center behind Wegmans. Inside it is all concrete floors and high ceilings. The cocktails were refreshing and the guacamole was freshly made. My fish taco was nothing to write home about. The fish was small and over fried. Hopefully they will improve. read more

Server was kind. I have been to this restaurant more than once. The last two times I dined there I was told they did not carry "Milagro reposado tequila" in their restaurant; very normal for the area, a lot of places don't have it here. I asked for the "skinny margarita" that was on their cocktail menu and I mentioned that I wish I could have gotten it with the Milagro repo. I was told pleasantly by our server that they do actually have it and maybe the other day they were simply out. I was very happy and asked for the substitution from their usual Tres Agaves Blanco (I think that's what it was). The drink was great! So I ordered it twice with the substitution. Here's where things got interesting... my approx $13 or so cocktail was charged to my bill two times for the two drinks I ordered (cuz duh); then to my surprise an additional $17 or so per Milagro shot was also on my bill (most places sell Milagro shots à la cart for $9-$13). My $13 cocktail became $30+ without my knowledge. And I ordered two! But I paid full price anyway, because the server gave us standard care and I assumed this issue was out of her control. I mentioned to the server that I have been bartending for almost 10 years at many bars and restaurants in the area and even out of state. I told her that normally the cocktail is charged full price to the customer and an additional "liquor bump" is added to accommodate the substitution for a more expensive liquor. I stated that I haven't seen a liquor bump that was over $4 or $6 ish in this area- ever (the occasional $12 or $20 bump for premium spirits that are like $300+ retail/not the case here). The server informed me that at this restaurant they charge for the full shot as the substitution liquor and then charge for the full cocktail, even though the original liquor has been removed. I let her know that she should have told us we were basically buying a full shot and a full cocktail but in my case the cocktail was just $13 juice with a $17 shot on the side. She chuckled when I said "so I could have gotten the full cocktail with the normal tequila and a shot of Milagro on the side for the same price." Again, I paid my bill because the server was nice and maybe just not trained properly on the POS and I asked for the manager for clarity. Things went downhill from there. The manager told me that all liquor sales are final (didn't even ask for a refund but I guess he assumed..) and their system of charging people for the full drink and a full shot as the replacement is their way of "keeping track" of how much liquor they're using. I explained that in my experience the "liquor bump" also asks the system user to input which liquor is being used so they can still keep track and the way they're doing things looks dishonest. The manager then informed me that the only "Milagro" they have is "Milagro 'Select.'" FYI Milagro is like $35 for a bottle retail , Milagro "select" is $55-$65 retail and is a specialty version of the tequila. My server never told me that it was Milagro Select and probably didn't know the difference. (To add insult to injury after two $30 cocktails I basically purchased a whole bottle of Milagro select from any local liquor store). The manager didnt seem willing to understand why charging $35 per cocktail in a suburban restaurant without notice of a $17 bump is a bit underhanded. To be honest, I think if I "looked" more like the clientele they wanted in their restaurant, I may have been treated differently or even received an apology for the mix up. (I have to mention that as a Black woman with a Latino last name in a Latin themed restaurant, with a decade of service experience; I expected to atleast be treated with some kind of understanding from management). Again I paid the full bill and was not even asking for a refund. I wanted to give them a heads up on how disingenuous this looks and to let their staff know for next time... but management continued to double down and assume I didn't understand how "they did things." I was told the prices were expressed clearly in their "liquor menu" which was not presented to our table nor was it on the table when we arrived. All in all, in my years of working in the restaurant business I've only seen a cocktail (without the original liquor) charged to a customer with a full shot charged (in place of the original liquor) to the same customer (making the two drinks ordered reflect as 4 full drinks on the bill ) IS when the restaurant wants to make more money and take advantage of those who don't understand the system or read closely. What a shame. I may just call in and pick some food up to go from now on. If I ever return. I'd rather buy a $66 bottle of Milagro select than spend $66 on two skinny margaritas and be told that's normal. I'll this via email to the resultant head as a way of helping them fix a simple issue that can come off poorly to customers if not remedied. read more

Don't bother. I'm literally sitting here as I type. The only things that were decent were my blackberry margarita and the breakfast old fashioned. That said we ordered a meal with two eggs that was clearly one, and when we asked the waitress to confirm that it was two she looked into the sky almost as to see if her soft yes would walk. The coffee was cold. When we asked for a hot one, the waitress said they do not have microwaves so she'd have to make a new one. Then when we mentioned the coffee was half full she said it would be "nasty" if she served a larger size IN A COFFEE mug. The nachos we ordered had cold ground beef. We ordered ground beef quesadillas and they gave ground beef tacos. When I confirmed she said it was. When isn't a quesadilla not melted cheese AND the tortilla cooked? We had this egg dish and asked for the eggs to be hard, they were runny. Then it had plantains which were friend and were good until you get to the middle which were cold. So obviously these were frozen and not fresh AND not fried enough to even cook them. The $18 crab balls only had 3. The sauce it came in was good though. I asked the waitress how much bacon is in a pancake and bacon order. She said 3-5, it was 2. They had no hot salsa. Only hot sauce. And the mild salsa they did have wasn't served on the side of nachos. I placed my order in the beginning of the meal and somewhere along the way the waitresses switched or took half the table. Honestly the food used to be good when they first opened and now it's a hit or miss. The service has gone down as well and you may behave to wait 20-30 minutes for a check. Looking like this will be my new go to. Food was very good. We ordered the ranchero burrito, guacamole, mole enchiladas, horchata, Oreo churros and churro martini. The mole was a little too sweet and too rich so wasn't our favorite. But the ranchero burrito was amazing. The tableside guacamole was on point. My only complaint was they didn't actually make it tableside :( (this is due to the lack of spacing between the tables) so the kids were disappointed at that. I did appreciate how the chef for the guac made sure we were completely satisfied with the taste. Our server Noelia (hope I spelled it correctly) was wonderful. Very attentive. There were some small kitchen delays but she made sure to relay any delays and she was very apologetic. She also was very good at checking on us and knowing the contents of the dishes. Overall we loved it. Gave it a 4 due to it being extremely cold in there. Also the bathroom didn't have paper towels, only an air dryer. And the horchata not being good at all. The food and service at this location is amazing. Coming from Los Angeles to the east coast I always struggled to find great Mexican food until I came to visit my aunt near Crofton. The servers are kind and attentive making sure everything was fine and ensuring my beverage never went empty. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who covered for the servers while they went on break. We've been so excited to try this new place and it didn't disappoint! The happy hour menu had a great selection of drinks and snacks and we got a couple things off the main menu as well - the star was the fresh made guacamole served in a giant molcajete, my wife and I thought it was some of the best guac we've ever had. I had to post a review for this new and amazing restaurant. The menu includes delicious dishes for both vegan and pescatarian. The food arrives quicker than most restaurants and hot, the veggies are crisp and fresh, cooked veggies are never over cooked , the nacho chips have a fresh crunch and flavor, No cooking oil pooling in your plate nor on the food. The atmosphere is mellow, the service is prompt and professional and last but not least this restaurant cooks clean and is immaculate. Did you gather appropriate information? It is highly inappropriate to make potentially inflammatory and defamatory statements about patrons without concrete proof to support your claims. You did not use objective language or avoid public accusation. Such actions reflect poorly on your business and demonstrate a lack of professionalism in how you handle matters based on mere suspicion. First impression was great! Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. And made me change my mind about not liking guacamole!!!

Food was sub par at best. The shrimp tacos were loaded with way too much cabbage. The salsa was so watery and chips/salsa was not free. House marg was pretty good. I tried one of the "nicer" marg that was 5 dollars more and was very disappointed. Wait staff must not be fully staffed because we had to wait with 6+ tables open. Was unpleasantly disappointed with the service on this visit. Host simply could NOT understand that we didn't want to sit in the glaring sun. They really need to address those west facing windows. The glare is excruciating. Next came our server, Ashley. While she was prompt taking my husband's drink order it took her awhile to come back for mine which was placed with our entree orders. Well....our entrees arrived and still no Marguerita. Could not find or see Ashley on the floor. Had to ask other employees for her. She still don't show. Went to bar to ask and she magically appeared and condescending my explained that drinks were made at the bar (as if I didn't already know this!). Also asked about chips and salsa as the menu was confusing stating "extra chips and salsa were extra". After that we never saw Ashley again. Other servers took care of us. Dirty dishes were left until mentioned. Eventually we spoke with the female Mr who DID listen to our complaints and apologized. They comped the chips and salsa which was nice. BTW when we arrived there were 5 people at the bar and less than 5 tables dining...so it was not busy and Ashley did not have any other tabels. Food was OK.
