Tried this restaurant for the first time. The nachos with chicken were wonderful. I had shrimp fajitas. Loved them...too many places overcook the vegetables. These were perfect and also included a generous portion of shrimp. Hubs chicken dish was also excellent with Spanish rice and black beans....all perfectly cooked. We chose this for a lunch venue after reading reviews. The service is very good. However, the food is mediocre and expensive. Their cocktails range from $13-28. The environment is austere- cement floors- very industrial. When we went, it was not busy - but I imagine the noise level is incredible when they are busy. FINALLY a local Tex-Mex place--amazing food & drink menu, all made from scratch! Servers are busting hump to meet the demand. We went for weekday lunch and weekend dinner. The place was packed at dinner, but the atmosphere and staff were still great! Will go back frequently. read more

Good food not so great service. This is coming from someone who has worked in restaurants for many year Sat at the bar and waited 5-10 mins before we were even acknowledged (there were only 3 other customers seated at the bar at that time). The bartender was making a drink but the least he could have done is said hello and let us know he would be right with us but no it was crickets. He eventually brought us menus and took our drink order. As soon as our drinks were done another bartender appeared and took our food order. The wait time for the food wasn't long at all. The only problem was our appetizer never came out. We ate our meal and the bartender never came over to check on us. My drink was empty half way through my meal and was never asked if I needed another or if they could get me a water. I had to eat a spicy rich meal without a drink! We sat with empty plates in front of us for a while and still no one came to clear or ask if there was anything else we wanted/needed. I finally was able to get the attention of a bartender and asked for the check. As expected they charged us for the appetizer so I quickly let them know that I never got it. His response was "you should have let me know". When exactly should I have done that? When our food came out and it was too late? While I was eating my meal and it was too late? Check your final bill! They charged us $72 dollars for two guacamole. The first order for $12 was correct, but for the second order, they charged $60. The waiter appeared to rush me to just put down my card, but I insisted on reviewing the bill first. When I pointed out the error to the waiter, he went to the manager and they reviewed the bill and fixed it. I didn't appreciate the fact that they were giggling about it instead of the manager coming to the table and genuinely apologizing for the error. The food was average. Also, they charge extra for chips. Since there are better options in our area, including better food quality, and customer service, we know for sure we won't be returning there. read more

Love when Crofton gets new restaurants. Been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. Mexican food is cool, but I'm not one of those who have it have it, but I did want to try to see if it was actually good. The vibe is cool inside, I sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly. However, the food is why I only gave it two stars. Everything we got lacked flavor and seasoning. My friend got nachos, they were average at best. I got chicken fajitas, very bland, a whole lot of fajita veggies but not as much chicken which was disappointing. I asked for some hot sauce because there was hardly any flavor on the chicken. I preferred red hot sauce/salsa but he brought out green salsa/hot sauce, which was also bland, no heat, and tasted watered down. I'm not sure who they have cooking in the kitchen lol, but I think this place would be so much better if they put more effort into the taste of the food. Not sure if I'll be back for the food, if anything maybe just to sit at the bar and vibe with a drink, maybe a small appetizer, but the meals are pretty bland. read more

We opted for a high table on a Sunday evening. What a hidden treasure. Javier T. really came through with great customer service. We sat there for a great deal of time without any acknowledgment. Javier took an interest even though we were not sitting in his area of service and it was on and popping from there. The food turned out to be delicious and because of his service, I'll put it into rotation. One recommendation would be to have two working the bar area during peak times. read more

First, you have to pay for chips and salsa!...and the salsa was just okay. No refills on fountain drinks. By the time our dinner came out, our food was not hot! Wife had Birria Quesadilla and it didn't have any flavor. Senior Chiles was much more flavor...and cheaper! My chicken enchiladas were okay with a sauce that tasted more Italian than Mexican! Got 3 specialty tacos for "Taco Tuesday" They were 24.00 which included a house margarita. I told the waitress that I don't drink, so I assumed if I were just getting the tacos, the price would be lower. Boy, was I WRONG! She didn't even tell me that I HAD to get the Margarita because it was a package deal, which I believe she should have just to give me a heads up. And they were small street style tacos. There also weren't any accompaniments--no beans, no rice, just the tacos. You also had to pay for chips and salsa if you wanted that. Very disappointing. Main dishes are horrible , all the small plates are really good ! Ambience is nice. Drinks are wonderful..... but there was an incident on 8/30/24 ... that will cause me and my friends never to go back there again.... We were cut off from our drinks at about 10:30 at night. We weren't being loud , we weren't being obnoxious. There were people in the restaurant who were making way more noise and we were. We were just sitting there having a good time... when my friends went to put in their drink order the bartender told us that we were cut off and that our server or the manager cut us off and we had no idea why.... We weren't given a reason...... it seems like a lot of workers and a lot of patrons were leaving.... and instead of them just telling us ..Hey, we're gonna close your tab out, we're closing down the restaurant. They just told us we were cut off...... fortunately for the server she didn't get a tip because the other bartender basically just swiped our cards and didn't leave a tip on there. It was almost a $500 bill and she didn't get a tip and quite honestly that's what she deserved if that's how you carry your restaurants polices ... we've been to the restaurant four times, I have never been cut off from any restaurant... and we just thought it was ridiculous... we were there twice that day actually because we went there for lunch... we are great tippers, great eaters, and great drinkers... and we will never go back there. Don't waste your time. Tried this place as we literally almost every weekend look for different Mexican restaurants to try. We won't go back. Went on Sunday and sat at the bar. The Bartender was very blah with no personality very inattentive to our order and drinks. The chips and salsa (had to pay for btw) which are complimentary everywhere else were very bland and the consistency of baby food. The chips were thick and hard not light and crispy. We're used to paying an average of $15 for a good margarita but that comes in a large goblet style glass but here they have one size which is a small whiskey sipping glass then full of ice so the drink is about 3 - 4 oz of actual margarita. The bartender wasn't familiar enough with varying tequilas so gave me a book that listed their selections. That was ok I guess but when I described what I like she didn't make any suggestions. Just had to choose one from the menu. It took nearly 40 minutes to get my Carne Asada tacos which came out as cubed chunks of skirt steak (I believe) which should be more fajita style cut but was served in a small Street taco sized tortilla. Very bland with little to no marinade used and little cilantro. Overall I believe they're trying to be a fancy upscale Mexican place but not authentic at all. read more

We tried Mucho Gusto for the first time last night. Elizabeth was our server and was very welcoming and helpful in way of discussing menu items. We ordered the guacamole, which was amazing, as an appetizer along with the hibiscus and passion fruit margaritas. Delectable! While we awaited our entrees (steak tacos and shrimp quesadillas), we took in the atmosphere. We really enjoyed that there was so much natural lighting, as some restaurants can quickly feel too dark and "inward". It seems at some point, this location will have an outside patio which we expect will be nice. The vibe and food presentation is certainly more of "upscale" or "city-life" as opposed to dining at one of the big-name chain Mexican restaurants. Due to this, it would seem to also be a great venue for a special night out- this location has a lounge area for which you must see the hostess first. Another neat touch, it looks like you can add photos to your drinks. We'd never heard of this (we're not hip!) but thought this was really cool. The information exists on the menu.
